Good gun for the money shot around 3000 pellets had it 2 years still as smooth as the day i got it. The best things about the Smith & Wesson 586 are the weight, which is nigh on perfect and the looks. Its looks so cool, just right. There is nothing bad about it.

Only bought it today and straight from the box it is shooting far to the left. I have adjusted the sights as far as possible and it is still out. I own two other pistols and have never had this problem before. HELP!!!

I've only just bought the 6" S & W and it is my first air pistol. i found it really easy to use and reccomend it to all. I haven't really fired a gun before but was able to achieve accurate and satisfying results with the first use. A great gun, at great value

This gun is amazing especially for the price. I've found it to be amazingly accurate even over long distances (20 metres). To be fair I have absolutely no basis for comparison as it was my first and only CO2 pistol but I learnt to shoot with it and now get consistently tight groups with it. My advice is to get one!

The gun is fantastic i would say the best CO2 i've used this one is a keeper. Had it for about six months now and put about eight thousand pellets through and it never gets old.

I shot my friends 586, but it broke after about 60 shots (don't know if he has managed to get it fixed yet. He had had it 4 about 1and a half years, but didn't rely take care of it. Easily clears cans and even went through an (empty) aerosol (with 2 shots). The available magazines are excellent and allows rapid reloading and firing. The fresh c02 cartridge ran out after about 50-55 shots, and the last 3 were very weak. Although my review seems very negative, this pistol is very enjoyable and ...

Have to say its a great gun. Far better then any other CO2 pistol i have ever tried. Got a good feel, nice and powerful and very accurate. I haven't had the chance to try it on any pests yet, because my yard is a kinda small and we don't have much mice or rats, only loads of badgers, which are way to big. But we got sickly many sea gulls. When i was in my yard shooting, i actually managed to pick one out of the air, but it just flew on, so don't shoot 'em in the air.

I have the 8 inch barrel model. The build is impressive with great feel and handling, maybe a little heavy for some, but it cuts down on wobble. The trigger is the best in co2 with smooth release and easy cocking in single action and a light double action compared to other pistols i have had. The accuracy is top notch with grouping within a two pence piece at normal ranges. Pop cans are no problem even at 25 yards.Great power and consistency with up to 7 full mags of shots in good conditions. ...

The 6 inch Smith and Wesson is easily the finest co2 pistol I own. I shot at paper targets in a pellet trap using Marksman domed pellets and my shot groupings are very tight when I put the effort in, at 10 metres a 1 inch group is just about possible. The Smith is also very powerful with a fresh co2 bulb in it often nudges my pellet trap back a bit with the first few shots. The looks and built quality of this gun are superb, its not 100% accurate as a replica because the cylinder is a dummy but ...

As in the case of Tbonesnake I was also plauged by a dodgy Anics 3000 before I got this. I have nothing to say about this gun that hasn't been said before. If you want a Co2 repeater you would be mad to buy anything else.

Just bought my Smith & Wesson 586 6in and I'm very satisfied. I shot at a magnetic target and it was so powerful they often bounced back up. Perfect gun for newbies like me, not too heavy nor too light, trigger is easy to squeeze and if you're a Clint Eastwood fan, it looks like an old school western revolver and even sounds like one on the clicks. Gonna try shootin some rats and mice with it, if I find any, wish me good luck. I wonder if you can kill a rabbit with this if you get a well pla ...

I bought this Smith & Wesson 586 to get some in-home practice for the Harry Reeves and Distinguished Revolver matches at Camp Perry in July. The very heavy single action trigger pull makes Bullseye-type shooting too hard. S&W Mod. 586 FIREARMS rarely exceed 4.0 pounds single action, and the NRA minimum for a center fire gun is 2.5 lb. Has anybody torn into one of these to do a trigger job, and how did you do it? Surely this gun is capable of sub1'' groups at 10 meters with a decent trigge ...

I have recently been using the Umarex Smith & Wesson 586 revolver with the 4 inch barrel. The revolver has performed well and consistant during this time. I have had no loading difficulties. The CO2 cartridge fits in easy and well. I place a small amount of silicon grease on the opening aperture of the gas cartridge neck every time that I put in the CO2 cartridge, I am using the Crosman 12 gramme cartridge. From this I get 40 reliable discharges. I do not bother trying to extend this amount of d ...

After a depressing time with an Anics Skiff I got the Smith n Wesson 586-6 and boy what a difference every time I use this pistol I grin from ear to ear. I mean firstly it sure looks the part only close inspection gives it away that it is not a real .44 it feels just right in the hand. Loading it is a breeze and whether you fire it single or double action the trigger is light and crisp allowing you to get off ten rounds at lightning speed and pritty good accuracy. I'm new to pistol shooting as I ...

I have recentley wrote a review on the Smith & Wesson 586 6in gun as soon a I received it but now I have had a close look at it it doesn't seem very good at all. For example the stop pin on the right hand side of the gun has came loose (if you don't know what that is well neither do I)the grips are uncomfortable and it eats c02. The finish is good but could be better it is power full which makes me feel better 390ft with rws c02 . It has jammed twice but only after about 50 shots. If you are loo ...

I bought the fantastic Smith & Wesson 586 6in from JS Ramsbottom for £97 wich is a bargin considering in local gun shop they are selling it for £180. 6'' barrel is accurate for some but I think I am using the wrong pellets (Air Arms 452) can any one recommend pellet type?
