    Good Points: ???

Bad Points: Too many to list

General comments: This years Ideal Home Show was in my opinion a very poor offering. The size of the show has been reduced by 50% and was therefore not worth the £13 per ticket that I paid. If the Daily Mail would not sponsor the show this year why not make that clear in the advertising. Daily Mail and Ideal Home exhibition are synonymous with each other. Thanks to E.D.F for trying to keep it going especially as it was the centenary show shame it was such a monumental disappointment. Perhaps I will go again when the credit crunch and Gordon Brown are just painful memories

More to look at in London stores where the entrance is free than The Ideal Home Exhibition . Goods no cheaper than elsewhere. Not easy to return faulty goods. Nothing special.

This year's Ideal Home Show was really entertaining. I had a great day out. I particularly enjoyed all of the little 'market' type stalls upstairs where there were loads of product demos going on. I could watch those guys all day! The show houses were good too...made me want to get home and start redecorating my house.

What happened to all the stalls? What happened to the upstairs part of the show - the most interesting bit?
Most people cannot afford huge jacuzzi type tubs in their homes these days so why have most of the ground floor showing these. I go every year but whether I go next year will depend on if the interesting stall upstairs are there.
    Certainly not value for money!

The Ideal Home Show was the worst show I had ever been to and I go every year and to think it was the 100th show. Lack of stalls and no upstairs was very disapointing. I'm sure all the exhibitors had a hard time this year.
Will not go next year if no upstairs! Not worth £5 entry fee!

Expensive, uninteresting and totally boring. I went with my daughter on the last day (April 6th) but I think it must have closed already! Because of train delays were didn't arrive until 11 and was expecting it to be difficult to see it all before it closed at 6 - no problem we had seen all we wanted to by 2.30. A total waste of money and time and I certainly won't be going again which is a real disappointment as I have been going since my school days (when you could get a small Hovis loaf whi ...

The Ideal Home Show was very disappointing. We go every other year and this was a waste of time. I have since found that the couple of things we ordered from there have still not arrived despite being promised that it would be delivered within a week.

We've visited the Ideal Home show many times before and were really excited to be going this year as we are moving house soon and wanted lots of new ideas (and had every intention of buying things there as well!!). As soon as we walked in, we realised that the whole thing was scaled down. A check on the plan confirmed that nothing was upstairs and that the few stalls were all there was. Large walkways which meant you didn't have to push through people so much, but this was really because there ...

What a waste of money. Like many others my family and I have been going for years. Last year it dropped in performance a bit but we thought we'd give it another go. Well never again. What a big waste of money & time. What a shame another British tradition down the drain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the Ideal Home Show today, VERY disappointing compared to previous years. It is all on one floor now and many of the usual stands were not there. It's much smaller than last yr , not good value for money.

My Wife and Mother law have been visiting this show for years. My Mother in law for over 30 years, she came back from Cyprus to see this years show! First thing we noticed was where have all the exhibits gone!We had planned a whole weekend around the show, as we assumed by the end we'd be tired and need to stay over, fat chance! We'd done everything by 5, and the show was all but closed by 6! Previous years would have taken at least 2 days to see everything! We all spent a lot of time, money and ...

I visited yesterday and was hugely disappointed. It took 20 minutes to get a coffee (due to inefficiency of staff rather than crowds) and all the content looked tired an in need of a kick up the backside. I think that the show has had its day - I'll be going to Grand Designs Live from now on!

Don't waste your time. Thank goodness my friend and I are from the London area as I would hate to think we had travelled a long way for a day out. If you want ideas for your home you are better going to your local DIY store.

Mostly stuff and brands on High Street and Internet. EXPENSIVE at £15.00 entrance fee, coupled with parking at £24.00, also the food was expensive. I really believe the Ideal Home Exhibitions was a waste of my day! Simply not worth it.

Fantastic show full of great ideas and companies - the layout is better now that they have got rid of all the cheap tat - why go to a home show to buy make up??! I could finally go around the show at my own pace without being jostled - much better than before.

Bet they dont have meatballs in there , reads the Ikea poster on the approach to this years Ideal Home Exhibition. Ah, methinks: if Ikeas on the defensive, this is going to be worth every penny of the 11 pound ticket price. So, in I go, purchasing a 5pound centenary exhibition guide (scarcely more than a list of exhibitors, interspersed by a few ads) en route.

This is my first time here, so I can only go on expectations. But from the moment I walk in, my gut asks Ahem, where is everything?

If this is the Centenary show then heaven help us next year. Now reduced to only one floor, the show is a shadow of its former self. We have been enthusiastic annual attenders but may give it a miss next year.

I took my mum for her mothers day gift, spending 52 for the two of us. All I spent was 10pound on some sausages!! Need I say more- very disappointing. Walked around twice and still had 3hrs to spare. Usually rush round to see all the variety.
Will not be going again any time soon.

I have been visiting the Ideal Home Show for the last 10 years and was shocked and disappointed when I visited this year.
A lot of the regular exhibitors over the years were nowhere to be seen. All the stands were situated on the ground floor and everything was a mish mash which made it very confusing to walk around. There was no decent eating area as in previous years. There were no houses as such to look around. Overall there were a lot less exhibitors and less visitors. The bustly atmosp ...
