Good Points: Simple to use
Bad Points: Reliability Noisy fan Slow responding to remote control Remote control has to be accurately pointed at box Remote control has to be used close to box
General comments: Had the Mustek DVD R100A for 15 months. From the beginning it seemed to be very choosy about which discs it would record onto. I threw loads away and spent a fortune on premium discs. The problem got worse and worse until after 10 months it would not record on anything; it just froze when I put a disc in it and often the tray would not open. Got it fixed under guarantee (Curry's - took weeks). When it came back I found it would record onto discs that it previously wouldn't - so I assume it was dodgy since I had it.
Now after had it back for a few months it's freezing again. It's useless.
I'm chucking it, out of sheer frustration.

Purchased a Mustek DVD R100A and it was sticking and freezing. Returned it to factory. They gave me a new one. This one worked for 1 month and now it will not read any DVDs. The tray closes and reads, no disc inside. Not a dependable machine and the tech support is a joke. I don't know how these people can stay in business. I have friends who bought Mustek camera etc. Same thing.
Do not buy this brand. You are looking for trouble.
