“I paid under £50 for the RX 425 just over two years...”

I paid under £50 for the RX 425 just over two years ago. For its specification it was cheap. I had an Epson printer before that and was happy with that. I was moved to write this review when I saw the overall hugely negative reviews that have gone before. I am at a loss to understand how the reviews can be so bad unless people are reviewing what is a budget machine using premium machine expectations.

This is a budget printer that I picked up cheaply for under £50. I get Think+ cartridges from Choice and their performance is identical to the originals at a fraction of the price. The only reason I wrote this review was because I was amazed by the hugely negative tone of most of the earlier reviews.

When taking out a yellow cartridge to replace with a new one a small piece of black plastic flew out. It is only under an inch long and has two slots in the middle. I can't find where it came from. Although the new yellow cartridge went in ok the red light is still on and it wont perform the charging system. I can't find where this bit came fro but must have a bearing on my problem. Can you help? Never had this happen before. Thanks.
