Good Points: Rooms are tremendous, large, spacious and luxurious. The spa is a true five star experience.
Bad Points: Pricey, not your typical Spanish experience
General comments: The Intercontinental Hotel on Mar Menor resort is truly a luxury hotel by normal Spanish resort standards. We have placed hundreds of clients at this hotel as part of our inspection visits to the Polaris World resorts. The feedback has invariably been excellent. Having used other hotels in the area none come close to the Mar Menor Intercontinental. On the downside it can be insular and does not provide the true Spanish experience more one of an international hotel.

Not much to do in the immediate vicinity. Went to Cartagena which was interesting, didn't like Los Alcazares - too English!

Polaris World are offering a number of spanish villas and apartments on new golf resorts in Murcia. There are four seperate developments each containing an 18 hole course and leisure facilities. The plots are very luxurious and can be ordered with various options including private pools and jacuzzis.
The Mar Menor resort is near various unspoilt beaches and restaurants and is only fifteen minutes from the airport.
