I had a policy with asda last year and all was fine .. until I had to speak to customer services, each one had a completely different answer to a very minor problem and each one was ruder than the one before. I work with customers every day so I'm quite good at biting my toungue and remaining polite even when being spoken to rudely but I was completely gobsmacked when I put the phone down to how I had just been treated. “Cheap but appalling customer service”

Cheap van insurance ok until you have a problem and need to talk to their customer service. This company has cost me pounds in time and call charges/ on hold for 30 mins or more at a time. Broken promises to email or call back eliciting more calls and time spent on hold!! Not the cheapest car insurance but has everything I need, comprehensive cover, windscreen, legal, breakdown cost more for breakdown cover than i was charged for whole insurance premium. Service is fast and friendly with the review option, however the day i am writing this the asda system is down and i cannot upload my proof of ncb. “They used my money for over a month”

They took my money in a second, when I exercised my right to cancel, they just did not want to pay up, took over a month, many phone calls and e - mails, I even e mailed their CEO and did not get the courtesy of a reply, when I eventually got a refund it was £1.00 short. I arranged insurance for my husbands car online. The terms say you have 23 days to provide proof of NCD and driving license. This was sent off in the first week. A week later my husband received a letter to say the insurance was cancelled because they had not received these. Another 2 days later he received a reminder !! My math is not the best but 23 days is 23 days not 14 max. The fact that a reminder was sent out also means that the policy must have still been within the 23 days even… Read Full Review

Having recently set up my car insurance with Asda I was subsequently notified after a month that I have a fault claim when I apparently disclosed a non-fault claim at the time of quoting. I questioned this, but they stated I was at fault even though I was the victim of damage caused by an unknown third party. Apparently, this is common practice amongst insurers where they are unable to claim the cost back, by dumping responsibility on the innocent insured. “Liars, Pushy and Aggressive Customer Service. ”

Cheap Company, I took a policy with them last year without any No Claim Discounts, I was a great customer and I only changed my car twice and I let the know about the change. This year when I tried to renew my policy, they tripled my premium and they were very pushy about the value of my car, I tried to tell them the true value of my car but the customer service lady bullied me to put the wrong price in. “wait 20 mins still no one answered my call ”

Got hit by other car on M6 last night and called the claim line. Having been waiting for 20 mins, still no one answered my call. Are they really that busy? The telephone line starts with 0845 which means I am charged almost one pound per min for the call. At the end I just hanged up, as I would be bankrupt before they pick up my call. After taking out insurance I sent off the requested documents by post and uploaded on their website. They kept requesting so I uploaded again only to be told the day after my monthly premium went out of my account my policy was cancelled as the back of my driving licence was a little blurry but they couldn't tell me this so I have had to get insured elsewhere as will take 30 days to get a refund if im lucky. Absolutely useless. I bought a new car and tried to transfer the insurance. The on-line system was useless and could not recognise the new car I was trying to change to so I couldn't get a quote or make the change. Spoke to someone who was equally as useless who told me to try again. I tried again over a number of days by which time I had to cancel my policy and go through a new insurer purely as the Asda system couldn't do it and no=one answered the calls (I have now a high phone bill)… Read Full Review
