I've spent the last 2 months e-mailing Boltblue to try and get a refund...I (stupidly) entered my mobile number into the opening page as I simply wanted to have a look at the web site. Subsequently received text message after text message - leading to £18 being taken from my mobile phone bill. I text STOP the following day and contacted Boltblue to explain the situation and ask if they'd be so kind as to give a refund given that I hadn't received any service or product and only 'subscribe ...- Read Guest's review (150 words)

I searched for 'free download' for a family member, and the website advertised free 1st download if mobile number entered. I did this, and within 30 seconds received message after message deducting money from the phone. £9 in total, and will continue to do so until you text STOP to that number. totally not happy. They haven't responded to my complaints or requests for a refund & just keep quoting their T&C's which were on the page. Bad company. Bad Service.- Read Guest's review (82 words)

My daughter entered her number into the site which doesn't warn you that this amounts to signing up. Since then she has received numerous unsolicited texts, adding £15 to her bill in September and £30 in October. She is 14 and had no idea what she was signing up to - why would she? I am not happy with this, therefore do not recommend boltblue.com.- Read Guest's review (68 words)

i like that you can send stuff to your mates and not just yourself, it's modern way of sending someone a birthday card (you don't even have to bother to write it). I'm definitely gonna use boltblue again and would recommend it. One of my mates uses them for emails for his business and says it's great.- Read Guest's review (139 words)

It seemed to take lots of my credit away when I had just bought my new phone so now if I put £10 on it within 2 days without me using it I am left with 18p it seems... its stupid and I searched for free ringtones it never said anything about it being £4.50 a week as far as I am aware?!- Read Guest's review (62 words)

Like others, I Googled for a free ringtone, and upon entering my number was charged £15 to my account as a PAYG balance to use. They did text me a number: 08700209312 which is their help line. The operator answered the call quickly, was very courteous, but I did not yet received a refund.- Read Guest's review (53 words)

Just googled for ring tone and entered my mobile no. in Bluebolt - before I knew it they sent me about 8 texts telling me I had an account with them - I only wanted to look at some ringtones! I finally text to stop to them but on my next phone bill they had taken £15.00 from my account as far as I am concerned. Tried emailing them but have had no response so far. Therefore I do not recommend Bolt Blue.- Read mcc64's review (82 words)

Too many too list. Not worth the money for me, £63 for text messages that I was deleting not realising they were costing as far as I am concerned. Cant get refund & they should not be allowed to operate like this in my opinion. Therefore I do not recommend boltblue.com- Read jkmeaney's review (58 words)

Went to look for free ringtones on Google and there was Boltblue so I got to their site and ok, the ringtone was free but only if you pay £15 but the £15 you pay for gives you so much to use. You can send texts from your computer to other mobiles and it works out a lot cheaper. Got my first ringtone for free and received it within seconds. I was even able to use my balance of £15 to send stuff to friends.
Just think it's great that you can send texts to other mobiles and even a ...- Read Guest's review (146 words)

Promotional website (you are taken to when googling for free ringtones) is legal but not in the spirit of the law. It is awful and will cost you £15. Does not say on this page ringtones are not by original artist - by the time you find out it is too late!- Read irishman's review (52 words)

This website is not recommend by me. I had £25 in my phone and after I subscribed on boltblue I had only 20p. And I couldn't even download anything because the WAP on my phone does not work for some reason and I didn't even get my money back.- Read ridanaqvi's review (48 words)

I used Bolt Blue not too long ago and all I did was download what I thought was a free "Spider Pig" Ringtone. I recieved a text to download it onto my phone, did so, then recieved 8 texts saying Media Message you nee to top up to recieve, I has 2 pound on my mobile, however I eventually did top up with £10 and it immediatly all went of the phone. Therefore due to my experiences I do not recommend Bol Blue.- Read Guest's review (80 words)

I had received a 'promotional' text message upon receipt of a new phone and thought it was part of the initial set up of the phone until I got my bill!! I eventually found out I had to reply STOP and still received a further 2 messages!! I explained to them that I've never used their website and wanted a refund as it was an honest mistake .They refuse to budge and offered no goodwill gesture whatsoever - they are simply not interested. I have just sent them another email to tell them that I w ...- Read Karen Haffey's review (150 words)
