Got the MFR and the HW100 dont use a scope on either and realy pleased with the performance from 1 to about 30ft can take out rats with head shots everytime HW has a smoother bolt action but just cant compare on the number of shots, their isnt alot to compare with noise, neither bother our sleeping geese and thats saying something, HWs mag is better and with no moving parts wins, both handle like a dream, if your using it for hunting five minutes on a target and you've got no excuses, i know theoben havent got the best customer relations history just keep it in mind when your buying if you arnt prepared to deal with them the buy a daystate or even better a HW100 but you would be unlucky to get a bad one, me i would buy one anyday, stay safe everyone.

I have had my Theoben MFR since the rifle was introduced and have not had a single problem with it. I have achieved pellet hole groups from when I took it out of its box until now of upto 40 yards and now I have had it converted to FAC I can achieve these groups at upto 70 yards. The air rifle is great to look at and hold as the balance is perfect, it is quiet even at 26ftlbs and extremely accurate. I have bagged many rabbits and pigeons with mine and believe that this rifle is perfect for hunti ...

Good looking, and well balanced, carry all day. Maybe its my gun, but i found when charged to the recomended 232 bar, that power was low until 40 odd shots were fired. Now charged mine to 200 bar, and it seems consistent. Experiment with pellets, mine hates accupels, settled on Air Arms hunters, as 16 grains, helped reach power of 11.8. superb slick bolt, best on a pcp, very quick reload. If you want to fill a large scope, consider that you might need Theobens scope riser blocks. Bull barrel hel ...

This Theoben MFR rifle is well balanced and accurate. At 40 yards I am achieving 1/2 inch groups consistantly.

The Australian version which I own is LOUD as the barrel shroud is cut back. All moving parts are well finished and the gun is obviously a quality rifle, that is until you look at the stock. My first stock arrived with a crack in the walnut and a split butt pad. The replacement stock still had tool marks, chips and a rough finish. It also had a split butt pad and it was peeling away ...

Sorry if I appear to be negative here, but I have to call it as is (in my case anyway). I bought a Theoben MFR shortly after their release. I had to travel a fair distance to get it, as there were not many available at the time.
On getting it to my home range, the gun would not do a six inch group at 30 yds. Checked on the club chrony. Only a spread of about 10 ft/sec..........no problem there then. Took back to the dealer (120 mile round trip) who wasn't particularly interested, but sent it b ...

Had my Theoben MFR 177 now for about a year. I really like it but it is only pushing 9,5 fpp with Bisley mags I have tried other lighter pellets which get the power up but no accuracy does any one no how to turn up the power.

What can I say about the Theoben MFR air rifle? Apart from wow! This gun is truly amazing! My mate has just brought one in .20 calibre, and it is just unbelievably accurate, quiet, powerful, and awesome to look at. Me and my mate were shooting out to 80 yards (a long way for an air gun) with it the other day, and it was still superb.

Highly recommended! A bit pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for.

Finally I got the Theoben MFR. single .177 shot. Smooth light. Unfortunately my scope didn't fit so I had to get the high mount resters. the bolt is a nice action. Will get a magazine some day. (50 quid).
Best gun I have ever owned. Recommend to anyone. Very light. I`m used to the 9lbs of `97. good value. Use accupell. Am glad I got this and not the hw100. Shop where I bought it are a pain, kept me waiting a month. Probably the the last rifle I`ll buy. I think the stock could be re-moddled to ...

After doing much homework on pcp Rifles I settled for the Theoben MFR (.177). And I must say I do not regret it. I begged & borrowed various others which ALL had their faults, but I fell in love with the balance of this gun alone. Mount a Whitetail classic and the weight & balance is still such a standing shot is a joy rather than pain. My first trip out bagged me 15 bunnies with clean head shots, with most between 45/55mtrs. This rifle is superb, and all the write ups you see or things you hear ...

The Theoben MFR is my 3rd rifle, the others being an Alross M400 and a Weinrauch HW100 and this out shines the others by far and I thought the hw100 was a bit special! This rifle is very well made with very consistent grouping abilities. The 12 shot magazine is also well made and very easy to use. All you do is fully retract the bolt and slide it in, simple! Have tried a few different pellets and all have been very favourable although the best in my opinion has to be the crossman powapell .22. T ...

The Theoben MFR is the best air rifle ever, I have a .20 and its fantastic-well balanced, smooth but positive bolt, quiet and accurate as hell-shooting ragged hole groups at 40 yards with all 12 shots!!. Get one from Ben Taylor in Harston, Cambridge. He knows his stuff and tweaks them before they leave the shop and give them a 10 year guarentee!!

The Theoben MFR has got to be the best rifle I have ever owned, full length silencer and super bolt action, i've owned an s410 and a hw100 and this mfr is much better. Single or multi shot so perfect for plinking or hunting.
Well balanced and the trigger is very good.

The Theoben MFR is an excellent well made well constructed air rifle, it feels solid and looks the part. The MFR was not the 1st rifle i looked at before buying i was going to purchase the rapid mk 2 as that is available in fac form.I opted for the MFR as the buddy bottle is compact and the stock covers the bottle which is great for handling. This rifle is very accurate and the cosistant of shots from a single charge is excellent as this model has been further developed.I am not sure but i think a ...
