Wipeout Pure is a fast moving PSP game with excellent graphics which keep you hooked. There are many good effects!
As you move on in the game some races can become hard to complete, but there are lots of fun and very addictive races with really good background scenery. There are many different types of cars which have different stats; for example, a car can be better at speed and another could be better at handling. Also, some cars have weird and exciting weapons which you can use to destroy other vehicles. Crazy eye-catching races which keep you playing for hours, including some good music tracks. In multiplayer you can race up to 7 players! Great game!!

Along with Ridge Racer, this game is the best looking PSP title so far. In fact, it might look slightly better than Ridge Racer when you take into account the special effects (race craft exploding, missles, mines.) It is a thing of beauty.
The music is ok, but I turn it off. The sound effects are amazing though, espcecially with the headphones. You can almost feel the explosions and the sense of excitement increases as you hear race craft gaining on you.

I bought my PSP Sony from Hong Kong, and also got Wipeout Pure as my first game. A friend also bought a PSP, and was a bit disappointed in his choice of game (Ridge Racers). Anyway, Wipeout is a fast (to begin with) and then faster racing game, which sees 8 "anti-gravity" ships compete over about a dozen tracks, and a further 4 "zone" tracks. On first switching on the console, I was impressed with the initial loading screen and FMV. Once into the game, you can either race against other AI ships ...
