Good Points: Good and fast synch with PC.

Bad Points: Reliability awful, normal mode sound totally gone, handsfree sound awful (all this after < 6 months).

General comments: I am extremely unhappy with my Treo 600 as it became unusable as a phone after

The Handspring Treo 600 is a horrible phone! Each time GPRS data call is being put in I'm unavailable on the phone. Needs reboot at least 3 times a day (compared to my previous (Nokia 9210i). Copying data between PDA and Phone seriously hampered by size of copy buffer and the restrictive way in which Palm works. Search only conveniently possible on name and given name, no easy search all capability restricted to address book. No multiple day appointments and several other restrictions in d ...

I came from the Nokia 9200 Communicator. I fell in love with the keyboard and the Web/Email/Office suite/PDA on a phone. I would have been an Ericsson R380e user but the merger with Sony killed it. However, the Nokia Communicator requires that you have a flat surface to use it efficiently. From there, I tried to search for the same experience but on a smaller form factor. First came the Treo 270. GPRS. Thumboard. PDA. PDA-size. I can actually take notes without requiring a flat surface. On ...

Just to put my cards on the table, I am a huge Palm fan, and have used them for 6 years. When my mobile phone contract came up for renewal I was also looking for my next palm. The Handspring Treo 600 seemed a great way to do both and to save some money (as Orange effectively paid for my new palm). 7 months on and I am still very happy with the device. Build quality is good and the keyboard surprisingly usefull (I have big fingers). Don't bother with the camera, it is beyond poor, but as ...

Upgraded my treo 600 in December (orange contract) Since then the Handspring Treo 600 mobile phone has been a really useful adjunct to my daily life. The screen is relatively large and very bright. I find that the lowish resolution gives quite a pixellated appearance to pictures but the icons and screen text are sharp and readable. It's touch sensitive and quite precise but bows alarmingly when pressed (doesn't come to any harm though). I've lost only one pixel in 7 months and the image quali ...

I initially looked to upgrade to the LG7100 mobile phone, but as I looked round, the Handspring Treo 600 took my fancy. Not bad for £60. Plus out of the 1500 people who upgraded through work (like myself) there were only 35 people who got the Treo. Working in the mobile telecoms industry, this phone has proved beoyond a doubt to be brilliant. I must admit though, the camera is a bit lacklustre and the screen could do with 64k, but I can live with that. I did also find a Bluetooth device fo ...

I previously owned the Nokia 6600. This was a blidingly good phone and coudlnt see myself going for anything else. However, my contract was up for renewal and i was offered the Handspring Treo 600 for free (due to my monthly bill). i orignally had the intention of selling the phone and keeping my old one. But after playing around with the Treo 600 i became more and more attached to it by each passing day. The main thing that attracted me to it was: 1. full qwerty keyboard - this meant th ...

I bought this Handspring Treo 600 mobile phone with some trepidation but seemed like a good opportunity to combine palm, telephone and everything else that fills my pockets. Original quote of £199 seemed quite high from Orange direct but with a bit of fiddling about soon got the price down to £19.99 - Interesting point - if you can, get through to Orange Retentions Dept - the prices you will get are set by computer, not by how much the Orange Store Manager thinks he can get out of yo ...

This phone rox Has just about everything you could need, some review sites say that the camera is useless, I disagree, Its not a 6 megapixel cam, but for a phone/cam it does the job and is a nice extra. They also say the 160x160 screen is poor, again I find it has excellent quality and has been built this way to save on battery, and as it stands, up to 10 days on standby is more of a plus when considering a phone than the screen resolution In summary this phone is well built, has an ever exp ...
