Update Frank- after various correspondances we suddenly recieved a £ 250 voucher to spend with james Vills on our next holiday with them - no appologies, just a letter basically saying " tough S**t" i dont know what your complaining about.

I told them where to stick there £ 250 voucher where the sun dont shine!

Absolutly pathetic, what a bunch of losers -

Do not use James Villas under any circumstances - you have been warned

We spent 3 weeks at Villa Casa dei Sette Venti in Tuscany in July/Aug '09. This was supposed to be a "Best of James" new villa, modern and comfortably furnished. It was anything but! We had to clean the oven, pots, pans and toilets before using them. What pots and pans were there had already been cremated on the gas hob. The beds, pillows and sofas were extremely cheap and uncomfortable. The pool decking area was quite dangerous and in need of treatment. The whole experience was extremely d ...

For the best two years we have enjoyed Villa Holidays which we had booked through travel agencies. This year we decided to book direct and decided to use James Villas who we were under the impression were the best. How wrong we were.
We were notified by email on Tuesday 11th August 2009 at 3-00p.m that the villa we were due to stay in was no longer available and the alternative villa that James Villas offered was miles from anywhere but with a bar 100 metres away, not what you really want on a ...

Villa Mallorca - Cala D'or - James Villas

Initially we wanted to book our package via the internet. However the flights on the site were either extremely unsociable hours (departure 5am etc) or you missed both ends because you arrived past midnight and left the villa around 6am the last day. Finally we rung an agent who seemed to have access to many more flights than we did and got a suitable time. Because this was not an internet option we had to go through him. This started our first prob ...

2009 we were travelling with an infant and toddler. 6 days prior to departure James Villas (JV) told us our flight had been cancelled and we were booked on another 8 hours later. JV told us they would arrange a day room at local hotel and left with no choice we accepted. At the airport one of our party hadn't been booked on the flight and much to the annoyance of other passengers it took over 1/2 hour to check in. Arrived in Moraira and villa was perfect however Rep told us there was no chance o ...

We spent a week in Villa Michael, Coral Bay - Cyprus, which was booked through James Villas. The villa was in excellent condition, and had clearly not been built very long. It was located in a row of five villas, but it was very private and not over looked from any sides. The villas were set in a vineyard, but it does look as if it is being sold off as other building plots, so you should check building work is not planned for your visit. This villa was perfect, and I would definately return.

Not worth the £2.5k we paid. We hired a car through James Villas and thought we had paid the insurance. We were told on collecting the car that we would be responsible for the first 800 euro's damage, even if we were not the guilty party, e.g. a break in, so had to pay another 170 euros for full insurance.

JV rep visited us on the first day to tell us XL airlines had gone bust but they would sort our flight home. On the second day the pool cover broke so we couldn't use it. Some men cam ...

This was a 'Best of James' villa in Quinta do Parais, Algarve, and I think we expected a little bit more for the extra money we paid. When we picked up our hire car we were told that we could either pay an extra 50 euros per day insurance or face a 1000 euro excess if we had an accident. The directions we had been given by James were wrong so we were looking out for signs that weren't there and got a bit lost. The villa really was nice but was let down by its bad points. Our manual said we w ...

This was our first villa holiday experience and we stayed at the 'Magbelvi III' Villa in 'Vale de Parra'. Rep visited once on the 1st day and this would have been our only visit had our fridge door hinge not have broken. Telephoned Rep 5.30pm on Saturday to explain what had happened but there was no panic as door still closed. Despite this a repair man arrived at 7.45pm and the fridge was fixed immediately. The Rep called briefly the next day to check the repairs had been made. We were very ...

We looked at other villas and asked if we could swap. James said yes as long as we paid the difference. When we protested, James intimated that we were trying to get an upgrade for free.
As this was not of our making, we were very upset at their total lack of concern. They offer no compensation if the changes are more than 56 days before departure, so beware!
James eventually came back with an offer of £150 off whatever we chose. Ok , it is a welcome gesture but again it was not of our mak ...

James Villas Holidays were great and I would be keen in using them again. Descriptions given verbal and written were quite accurate, the villas were in excellent condition, pools were cleaned daily, we even got a visit from the owners who asked us how we were etc. A few too many leaflets pushed under the door, but we used the delivery menus on more than a couple of occasion. Good service after booking, changed the dates a couple of times and the friendly staff had no problem in doing this for me ...

James are very good value for money and very amenable to late changes. I have never used the flights which are available with the package as these can be found cheaper elsewhere.

We arrived late in the night after a delayed flight and getting lost due to confusing directions (this was taken on board by the local rep, acted upon and has now been corrected). Our first impressions of the villa were very impressive although the pool looked as though it needed cleaning.

Upon awaking the next morning the pool man had already been and the kids were in the pool within a half hour, and they stayed there for most of the following week.

Close by were 2 resorts, Calpe and Moraira ...

We have just returned from villa karina in the costa del sol in nerja, thank god we only had a week because on the 4th night we were robbed, losing all our holiday money!
Obviously the last 3 nights were very restless and we couldn't wait to get home.
However the villa was very nice and had most things you need but no safe. It also took us an hour to find the villa and the road to it is not for the faint hearted! It was our first time in a private villa and we really enjoyed the privacy and our ...

Two James Villa Holidays now and both have been worth every penny. Easy to book and monitor booking online, contactable, never seemed to be put on hold for longer than a couple of minutes. First holiday to Lanzarote (Aug '06) was late out from Bristol (problem at other end) which meant car hire desk had to stay open out of hours and charged us for this, JV covered the cost of this and reimbursed us back without a problem. Second JV holiday was to Mallorca (Aug '07), no welcome pack at the villa, ...

At the Villa Felip you are a five minute walk from the roman bridge and only 10 minutes from the Old Town of Pollensa. That was our priority for booking this particular villa with James Villas, and it didn't disappoint.

There are some lovely restaurants and cafe bars in the Old Town, and it is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Walking the Calvari steps is a must. The way we walked into the old town actually brought us out half way up (or down!) the steps. It was great to be abl ...

This was my first villa holiday with James Villas, and I was naturally apprehensive about how it would all work out...as it happens, it couldn't have been any better. The villa was nicely furnished, and well described...it was clean and clearly well maintained. The car was adequate and the people we met in association with James Villas were all polite. We didn't meet the Rep, as we were out when she called, but a calling card had been left, which was re-assuring.

The inclusion of an activi ...

All-in-all, we thought James Villas had represented the villa adequately and were not deceitful in any way. The villa was quite a way from shops and there was no way you could walk to a bar or restaurant, although none of this was mentioned in the description (we didn't ask either). The villa itself was huge and basically furnished, not 'plush' as we'd expected. The kitchen had seen better days, but again, was adequate although we had to clean everything before we used it. The garden area was pr ...

Our James Villa Holidays cost in excess of £4000.

Well we were disappointed the moment we saw the villa the photographs hid the fact it was sandwiched between two buildings, with a pool that was tiny and more importantly on the edge of a building site with more work happening just beyond it. Pool was so murky bottom couldn't be seen.

We notified the rep and showed pool, she came out and informed us basically buyer beware, we should have checked the pool size dimensions not gone on pi ...
