Good Points: One of the good things about this pistol is that it is completely metal, thus all the weight is more or less evenly distributed: the barrel is quite heavy and therefore the pistol is allowed to be quite accurate. In many gas pistols the barrel can be too light and this hinders the pellet's trajectory.
The gun is all metal and this means that it is far less likely to break. I have had the C225 for about 3 years now and so far there have been no problems with the mechanism. However I would recommend cleaning it about once every year or so.
The gun is very compatible, it will work on many 12g gas cylinders, the most common being Gamo and Crosman.

Bad Points: One bad point about this pistol would be that it is an 8-shot cylinder gun. This basically means that a small cylinder magazine like one you would get in a revolver is inserted into the top of the slide. Eight shots are loosed off before having to reload. This can be a pain as each pellet has to be pushed firmly into the magazine and then checked to make sure it isn't poking out.
Also the trigger is quite far forward: if you don't cock the hammer at the back, the trigger must be pulled back quite a way before you can fire. However, if you cock it first, this isn't a problem.
Something that gets me is that there's no safety. You have to treat the C225 like it's loaded all the time; although this is a good idea with any gun!

General comments: On the whole, this model is extremely easy to operate and is definately one you can have fun with. I got this pistol as my first gas weapon and it has served me well since I got it. It has been very well designed and weight-wise it feels perfect. The grip has been made to fit your hand: "snug as a gun" as it were.
The front and rear sights are fully adjustable - you can even take them out - and there's even a de-cocking hammer, so even if you've pulled the hammer back you can still release it by pushing a lever at the side down and pulling the trigger without firing at all. I have perused numerous gas pistols everywhere and haven't seen anything like this. For beginners - like I was when I received this - this model is ideal for newbies in target shooting.

Okay, I've owned a number of C02 Pistols in the past five years and this RWS C225 is the one I wish i'd started with. I bought this gun about three weeks ago and was dead pleased with the whole package, like other high quality pistols it comes in a hand held case containing a tin of pellets (flatheads unfortunately, but good for plinking).
I went straight to the garden for a shoot upon my arrival home and loaded up the beast. The first shot exploded out the barrel with a heck of a noise and sl ...

Nice heavy feel, good balance. I am a left handed shooter, but right eyed (the right shoulder is knackered after a heavy fall so i cant keep the pistol on target). I will endeavor to add additional data when I have used it for another few months.

The accuracy of the RWS C225 is the worst i've seen in an air pistol. About 4 inches at 7 yards. My cp88 has a group of 1/2 inch at that distance. A great looking piece, feels good in my hand, should be fired single action only. Trigger in double action is realy bad. I have only run 150 rounds through it because of the accuracy problem.

This is a nice heavy Co2 pistol. 37oz. or 1075grams. It fits into the hand well. It has an 8 shot mag, and I find that it works well with Dynamic triple P1 ammo at 26 feet. I know 10 meters is quoted, but most Co2 pistols fall short half way and ruin your plinking, which is all these guns are good for. I think a fixed back sight would be better, as works for part 1 pistols, and although windage is catered for there is NO elevation. A good fun gun.

I've got 4 of these UMAREX/Crosman/Walther/RWS hybrids. 2 of the Walther CP88's-w/compensators, a Colt/Crosman 1911-w/out comp., and an RWS-w/out comp. Well, I own 4, actually only have 3, STILL waiting on a replacement (month 5-6)!!

I love these things!! Pretty accurate once you get used to them! Had a Problem with the original CP88, something internal broke after about a month and a half. Today the RWS (about 6 months old) I have does the SAME EXACT THING!! The last shot it made was a reall ...
