I had a feeling when I registered with Post Office for phone and broadband that I was doing the wrong thing, but wanting to get away from previous provider, I went ahead. “Unbelievably bad service from P.O. Telephones”

Do not touch this company with a barge pole. Have today telephoned the P.O. telephone fault line on behalf of a 91 year old (hard of hearing) lady who lives alone. Her telephone has been completely dead for three days which also means that her 'linkline' emergency service will not work. She has this because she has had several falls and she is housebound. “So astonishingly bad that they defy belief”

While they were contracted into BT, the service was reasonable, since going to Talk Talk, my bandwidth is often less than 1 Mbps with repeated loss of connection. Their tech support is good for nothing, the customer service quite hopeless. I have finally asked for MAC code to leave and they have responded by taking £240 from my account without my knowledge, supposedly for a service call from months ago which I never asked for but their tech support ordered. “Cant believe they can be allowed to operate”

We had a complete catalog of poor service and rude / unhelpful customer service people. There seams to be no common sense or ability to resolve any kind of problem. The phone number to ring was expensive and the hold period was always a long time. Sometimes we (cynically) thought the problems were to prompt a call! “Useless 'Customer Services' - should stick to posting...”

After requesting what should have been a simple transfer of telephone services to another company, we were disconnected (which also meant we had no broadband service whatsoever, given another customer's telephone number whilst they were absent from their home and after many telephone calls using our mobile phone, finally told that we would be reconnected in another 10 days with our original telephone number. “Incompetant lying customer care staff”

We get daily recorded messages from Homephone asking for somebody we have never heard of, demanding money that this other person owes. The staff say they will not stop the messages until we agree to direct debit! Yet we have had no bill for nearly a year! When we ask for the bill they send us either a bill for someone else or a bill for a service we have never had! They fob us off and tell us to write in with our complaint. My mom passed away 4 weeks ago and I informed the post office as she had a home phone with them. I have found them to be of no help whatsoever. She had £3.11 credit and was told a cheque was on the way.This was a lie as a letter turned up asking me to take it to a post office with letter of probate. “POST OFFICE TELEPHONES”

my 90 year old mum's had a stroke, I got her into a care home and ordered a landline from P. O telephones... no problem they said 3 weeks later still no phone. spent at least 12 hours talking to them, it's just a wall of indifference, ignorance and stupidity. “Phone not working - useless customer service!”

I have been unable to make outgoing calls from my phone for 3 days now. This includes the weekend, when I should be able to make free international calls. When I rang from another phone to report the fault, the customer services number was unobtainable. “DO NOT CHOOSE POSTOFFICE”

I get charged £85.57 every 3 months for phone and broadband. For this i have poor broadband and apathetic customer service laced with sarcastic responses. When their customer service people speak to you it is with utter contempt and they do their best to passively aggressively insult your intelligence. The broadband will drop and come back on when it feels like it, and you will lose all incoming calls. It will show up that your line is engaged even when you are not using the phone. “Terrible broadband CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER!”

Really appalling service. We have daily issues with Broadband cutting out and have reported it on three previous occasions in the last few months. The customer services operators maintain there isn't a problem with our line and on our insistence claimed they would send out an engineer but we have heard nothing more from them. “RIP OFF APPALLING SERVICE”

My mother in law was paying £70 per month for this service. Her phone line has been playing up for several days and although they kept saying the line was clear it was alright for a few hours and then it kept going off. They wanted £230 for an engineer to visit the first time and the. £130 the next time. “Heartless and Appalling”

On the day my father was taken into hospital his telephone developed a fault. I tried to report it but they would not talk to me because I was not the account holder. I explained that this would leave my 86 year old mother home and alone unable to contact any one, including the hospital. “PO Broadband - AVOID”

Until recently, a useable service but it has become vitually unuseable and their tech support are both clueless and ineffective. More failed promises than I can count. Service was acceptable when BT were the PO's provider but I understand that Talk Talk now provide their service - need I say more. PO have no influence or clout with their provider. Left the post office some 9 months ago after a less than average year with them, when we left we did it over the phone paid the outstanding amount in full and were told everything was done, jut needed to wait on sky connecting us. Imagine my surprise 9 months later and 4 days before xmas to get a "demand" from "roxborough house" debt collectors demanding £90+ from us!
