the worst thing i ever done was to change from bt to the post office phone line. it was a nightmare such poor service such bad manners such uneducated staff to deal with the public. you people should be ashamed of the way you treat cusomers. i would never recommend to a friend in fact i make sure i tell everyone i meet about my experience, most of them agree they have had simular experiences. i would,nt even buy a stamp from my local post office i don,t ever want anything to do with them ever again.

joining the post office is the worst thing we have ever done,we moved into a new house and an engineer came to test to see if we had a line in,plugged the phone in and had an instant dialing tone, yet when we received our first bill,we were charged for a new line £110 we argued the point but in the end gave up and paid it,A couple of months ago we moved house and low and behold the same thing happened again, charged another £100 for a line that was already there.and from reading other ...

I agreed a disconnection date of 31/07/09 as line no longer needed. The next bill had line rental for Aug, Sept and Oct added even though Post Office Home Phone did not provide this service as it was cut off on the agreed date. Two phone calls made and on each occasion they agreed that the bill was wrong and line rental should not have been included. Final bill still not received and during last phone call they mentioned that a debt recovery agency would be used. They seem very quick to resort t ...

A record breaking wait of 75 minutes and 4 transfers to get through to someone at the Post Office Phone Service! This is a disgrace, and it has given me a good reason to cancel my contract with them ASAP.

Due to illness I hadn't paid my bill. I received a cut-off notice saying I would only be able to receive incoming calls and would be cut-off on the 19th. The Post Office Phone Service disconnected me on the 18th although the bill was paid over the phone. Five days later and I am still not connected despite complaining. I had to wait 12 minutes for my call to be answered and then the person at the other end had an accent which made him impossible to understand. I will definitely be changing ...

Appalling service payment made March 09 by card over the phone. Payment was lost, copy of bank statement sent twice phone and broadband disconnected for a time. Several letters sent I was offered £20 credit and told payment would be moved from my account at the end of June. Rang again July still not resolved, today 17th August 2009 received phone call from debt collectors who had been asked to recover the debt.
Every time I rang I was left on hold for more than 5 minutes calls usually took ...

The Post Office Phone Service must be the worst company in the world. their customer service department never answer the phone until you have been HANGING ON for over half an hour and they must also have the worst music in the world playing, it drives you nuts. Telephone bill online never tallies with payments made. I will definately be changing to a different provider who have an all in one package with all the little extras thrown in that you have to pay through the nose to post office for.

Phone line and broadband work but billing has been a catastrophy. I have had to endure the nightmare that is customer service, which despite some honest individuals is generally rude, abrasive and cannot actually do anything, simply referring you to another department or agent! I have been told that despite receiving payment in their accounts i have to prove payment from my end by writing to another department! The Post Office Phone Service took the money out of my account in the first place!

I chaged to The Post Office Phone Service Phone from BT in Feb and when I had my quarterly bill it was costing me nearly £68 more than I was paying BT! I also noticed that my bill contained a monthly charge for caller display - a service that came include with BT's line rental. At no point was I told that there would be an addittion fee for this.

I changed from BT in Feb to Post Office Phone Service. I then got a bill for nearly £70 more for the quarter that I was paying BT. I also discovered that on my bill I was being changed for caller display separately to line rental where as it had come as part of BT's line rental. I have changed back to BT and I would not recommend the Post Office unless you wish to be out of pocket big time.

On the whole the Post Office Phone Service is ok and the broadband is very quick but dont get expect a fast service for them when it comes to customer care, they string you along with all sorts of excuses and hide behind the very small print within the contract.

I went with post office for the reduced installation fee and no fixed contract for the phone line, decided to upgrade to broadband too. Phone line was connected ok and on time but the broadband was 10 weeks after the initial instalation date. My order was put on hold twice, due to a malformation of my order what ever that is! When i asked the customer support why i had to keep waiting she shouted at me and said she didn't know. Terrible will cancell as soon as the time expires! Also had the prob ...

Took an unpaid day from work so that the The Post Office Phone Service could connect me. They never turned up!!!! Rang customer service at 5pm, asked 'Where is my phone line?'they reply 'your call out was cancelled''why?' I ask, they say 'You must have cancelled it. 'No i didn't, I have sat here all day waiting for you' I reply, 'and I've lost a day's pay' Suddenly the line (to my mobile) goes dead. I then receive a text from the PO telling me my phone will be live tomorrow. So I took anot ...

I got the first 2 bills from The Post Office via the post despite setting up a direct debit on application for the broadband service. The reason I have stated it as a good point is that since ringing and setting up a direct debit (for the second time) I have received no direct debit out of my account in 5 months.

On one occassion the broadband service did not work for 24 hrs, I rang them up and was told to make sure I had the correct cables installed, despite the fact that my profession is a ...

Is there a common cause here? I ask because I have had horrendous problems for the last 5 months trying to change my phone provider. When my line went down I tried to get my provider TalkTalk to get an engineer out to fix it. This was a problem I had had several times before, previous to joining TalkTalk and BT had always fixed it very quickly. It was always the salty atmosphere and high winds here on the coast ruining the connections. Understandable. But TalkTalk just would not accept that my li ...

I decided to switch to the post office home phone in September this year as BT wanted to charge me a whole years line rental for changing the name on the line rental to mine when my ex partner left. The post office did not have a contract. I had an existing line (for the last four years) so according the their website there would be no new connection with the post office they would simply take over the line.
I initially spent TWO hours on the phone to the post office to try and get this sorted o ...

All good with the The Post Office Phone Service. I moved back into this flat which had previously had a BT Line, however BT said the line had been dead for too long so they wanted £150 to re-provision the line with a crdit check, 18month contract and a £70 early termination fee!! as I'm only here for 12 months I felt this was taking the something.
Someone told me about the Post Office and what do you know a free provisioning, a monthly rolling contract and FREE calls to mobiles an ...
