“Do Not Buy From Bensons”

I only gave Bensons 1 star because I was not able to give them 0. I bought a Connoisseur Supreme bed from them 1 year ago, at a cost of £1,124.49. It was a very expensive bed, and I expected it to last a long time. 1 year later, I have found large orange patches appearing on the pillowtop part. I contacted Bensons, and they sent someone to look at the bed. The man that came told me that the mattress was not faulty, and that he had seen much worse on other mattresses. “Guarantee not worth the paper it's written on.”

I bought a Sleep to Live mattress 5 years ago, it was guaranteed not to sag and I was told it would last at least 10 years. It was the best mattress they had! It has sagged, I complained, Bensons sent someone to assess it. I waited 3 weeks, heard nothing, so phoned them only to be told there is no manufacturing defect and that a 2-3 inch sag is to be expected!! After purchasing the Mirabel bedroom set, the wardrobe and draw set arrived damaged. On delivering the new draw set, it was delivered without draws, on delivering the draw set again (this has now taken 18 weeks from point of first order, the draw set arrived but there was an issue with the handle holes lining up. I have bought an divan igel mattress no.4 is like sleeping on the rocks, I had to change it on 40 nights guarantee for a different bed with bedside cabinets and one of the bedside cabinet it was with out draws and the quality of the matress is appaling. We had to give my partner's mums address, as we were in the process of exchanging contracts but we made it very clear to the manager several times that we needed it to be delivered to our new flat. I bought a Brampton Ortho (4 Firmness) king size bed in May 2016, delivered June 2016 and after just 3 WEEKS, yes 3 WEEKS the mattress developed two large craters where myself and husband lie whilst sleeping. I purchased a bed from Clifton moor store in York. However after sleeping on the bed for a few days I realised that the bed wasn't what I expected and felt gutted that I'd spent £1200. the salesman was excellent he advised me on beds that might be more suitable, and gave me a delivery date for the exchange. Arranged with shop for them to remove old mattress, which they agreed to do, with a £40 charge. They said it would be collected in the morning, and new one delivered in the afternnon. New one delivered as arranged, but old one is still sitting on drive, the only place we could put it, as they didn't turn up for collection. Customer services don't want to know. Originally ordered a zip and link 5ft bed online, backed up with customer services confirming details over the phone, in March. Cost £1849.00. Waited until June. The wrong mattress was delivered, a standard 5ft, no zip and link. In fact the bed I ordered does not exist, even though I could still order one online today and it was actually fully ordered by the phone sales team. I ordered tempur mattresses. They done my ikano wrong, I had to go back the store sorting that out. Then got delivered the wrong ones! Back Into the store sorting this out! Time and stress!!! Got promised from Kingston store manager a good discount (which he gave), free re-selection, free delivery or refund if I didn’t like the new mattress which were being delivered and up to 60 nights trial. We bought a mattress and under there scheme we were told if not satisfied we could exchange it, they forgot to mention you would not get money back, and then to add insult to injury they then charged for delivery for mattress to be taken away. Ordered bed, and during delivery they caused a massive dent to the wall (which is fine, accidents happen). The driver however then 'took a photo of the mark' and said he will sort. My elderly mum signed the delivery note and thought nothing of it. When I chased the issue they denied any knowledge. “Delivery Charge”

Ordered bedroom furniture set, and was informed of a hefty delivery charge, but informed it was due to the fact the furniture was set up by professional installer on delivery. Basically the furniture was delivered more or less set up, and only the wardrobe had to be put together - this taking a full 30 mins in the house, and out again. Spent over £2k on new beds and mattresses. Store staff were great. Delivery time acceptable. When delivered - wrong size mattress, 3 hours later than time I had booked off. When customer service finally responded - another 3 weeks for correct mattress for another half day. Purchased a Mirabel 6 door wardrobe and founds shelves where damaged upon installation. In addition we ordered extra shelves. Now 3 months later both the extra and replacement shelves arrived and are wrong size. BFB have spent last week blaming supplier in Germany and cannot EVEN guarantee if they order replacements they will fit. sounds familiar. My bedroom unit was damaged and 6 months down the line the replacement doors have also been delivered damaged, not once but THREE times and I am now waiting for a 4th delivery. Customer services are not fit for purpose. This company will not last
