    Very poor service. Purchased this £1700 bed, which was of extremely bad quality when it arrived. The bed was so bad; it forced us to sleep on an inflatable mattress as Bensons would not exchange it until 40 days had passed. The replacement bed was just as bad and now they won't exchange it at all.
    We tried to return the bed withing 7 working days, whichy normally constitues a return under statutory rights, but Bensons would not let us do that.
    I would not purchase anything from this company again and would advise anyone not to shop with them due to my experience.

    Hi, I have just received my new Relyon (best beds in the world !!Joke) 1760 memory pocket sprung reactaform.. This was to be a replacement for my 6yr old very expensive Relyon pocket mat.(old faithfull) well it arrived as Benson stated so half way there! got home from work to un wrap the plastic to find what looks like mould down each side of mat costing over a grand from the best beds in the world..Great !! well as i am sure you can understand, not to best pleased.     Was told delivery would be between 12 and 6 pm on Saturday, at 5.55 pm we rang to find out where the bed was, as we were due to go out. We were told, rather rudely (which is a feature of these reviews- if everything is fine, Bendons are fine, once there is a problem, their staff become rude...is this a management problem?) that they couldn't control the traffic lights. 2 hours late we received our goods, as there were two people in the van, why can't they ring to state they will be late?     OMG. I wish I knew about this site before I made the mistake of purchasing my new and expensive bed from Benson's (Relyon Reactaform 1440 Airflow Bed - Luxery apparantly!!). They delivered it a week later than they should have done, it was minus some parts and after spending a very uncomfortable number of nighs sweating and sinking into an apparant dip in the middle I made the mistake of contacting 'Customer Services'.     Bensons were terrible, they delivered the bed on time but then when we moved into our new house and found we couldnt get the bed up the stairs, they would not take it back or refund it and told me it was my fault and i shouldhave measured the house i was moving to before i bought the bed (which i couldnt do,a nd the bed was in 2 parts and stll wouldnt go up).     Do not buy from this company.poorly made and new headboard i purchased cannot use as screwholes in bed are too big,also one of the draws sticks and can hardly get it open.finaly got through to customer service after two weeks and was a waste of time.still waiting for them to ring me back.will never buy from them again.

    hi everybody please stay away from Benson for beds, I have recently purchased a new bed set and then ran into financial difficulties and decided I wanted to cancel and get a refund, not the bed is not delivered yet I was told it was up to the area manager to decide weather as a good will gesture to give me the refund and guess what his answer was no, I cant believe a company as big as this can; offer a 16 or 28 day cooling of period like every other good company, when I questioned the fact that ...

    Purchased a Kingsdown Sleep to Live 500 bed from Bensons for Beds Shrewsbury. Delivered in April. It was great for the first 2 weeks, then one side of the mattress got softer and softer and eventually was impossible to use. Bensons Customer Service refused to do anything about it saying "carry on using it you will get used to it". The manufacturers were equally unhelpful. Trading Standards were useless.     Bensons claim on their litrature that we can be sure of "help and advice and the best after sales service available - and that's guaranteed". Don't believe a word of it. I have just spent the most stressful week of my life attempting to speak to someone who will help me with sme missing bolts. Simple you may think? But they make such a meal of it and are the most obstructive and unhelpful people going.

    we bought a bed from bensons not long ago. we're really happy with our choice.service in the store was brilliant. girl who worked there was really helpful and thanks to her we found the right bed.

    We didn't have a bad experience instore at Bensons for Beds - it was the delivery that shocked me.

    My husban's colleague took a call at 8.55 to say the driever would be there in 10 mins. My husband went to our flat next door and waited 30 minutes. He called his boss who had the number from the call earlier. He rang and the driver said "I'm here, where are you?" The driver was in the wrong town. He claimed he had been given the wrong details.     I purchased my bed from Bensons' Beds prior to reading this site and had a slight panic when I saw all the poor reviews! But as with most things in life, people more readily complain than compliment. To break the trend: I found the salesman very helpful and willing to negotiate, and the delivery men delivered the bed on time as arranged to my 3rd floor flat without breaking sweat (much). We would definitely recommend them to a friend.

    I purchased a bed from Bensons' Beds prior to reading this web site and had a slight panic when I saw all the poor reviews!     We ordered a bed from a Bensons concession (in Debenhams) that was closing down. Like other reviewers we got home and googled Bensons. Having read reviews here we thought we were going to be in for a rocky ride. Fortunately it all went well. We were advised by 'phone and text message that the bed would be delivered on the morning of the agreed date and were 'phoned by the delivery crew half an hour before arrival.     possibly the worst retail encounter i haveever faced at Bensons for Beds. i wont go into detail but benson beds can give you a heart attack if you have any problems. after they take your money you are in the lap of the gods. and believe me just pray that things go right.

    When the delivery of the mattress we bought from Bensons for Beds took place, the delivery men were rather rude and careless. After having scratched a wall and not even apologising for it, they concluded that they wouldn ' t be able to take the mattress to the bedroom due to the size of the staircase " which is a perfectly normal staircase, by the way.     Bensons for Beds is an absolutely awful company. The mattress I bought lost shape within 2 weeks and their customer service is terrible. Their policy is not to refund, even when goods are faulty and if you get difficult they ignore you. IF you get the name of someone in Customer Services you won't be put through. They don't bother to reply to letters and the store managers say they can't do anything without the area representative being there. DON'T GO THERE!!!

    Bought a bedstead from Bensons for Beds a few months ago and had no problems, so have just bought a mattress and again all went according to plan.
