Purchased a bed in Middlebrook Bolton Store and was NOT told it was self assembly even after spending £800 on a bed but they would send someone out at a cost of £60 to assemble it the manager told me when I complained. The delivery came on time and they trampled mud all through the house and onto a brand new carpet laid less than 1 hour previous they then denied all knowledge of the fact and stated they will not do anything about it. I needed to change my mattress so went to the shop. It has three sales people but they were not very interested in helpin me. They were very nice people but I needed more help on finding a good mattress for me. Only one man came to help but then left me after showing me King size mattress. This company has no regard whatsoever for their loyal customers and will take every opportunity to make more money out of them. I was quoted a price for the exchange of two beds under their 40 day sleep guarantee programme. I asked them to confirm that this was the total price for the exchange which they did. We bought ottoman bed and mattresses. We did the order in store and this one star going to store assistant who was helpful and helped with order. The rest was terrible. We waited our bed three weeks and were excited. But the day it arrived-it ruined all the mood. People who delivered bed and put it in place- they simply do not know what even average customer service is. They did not want to bring bed and mattresses to third floor. Based on persistent advise from the sales staff in store, I splashed out and purchased a Tempur 'Cloud' memory foam mattress at close on £1500. I run hot and specifically said I had heard memory foam didn't breathe well and was hot to sleep on. Was told this was rubbish and it was top of the range and breathable unlike other inferior memory foam brands. Bought a Divan from Bensons 4 years ago and the mattress had collapsed on one side. Disappointed I thought I would now have to pay out for another mattress. I went to the Bristol Cribbs Causeway store and spoke to the person I dealt with who I explained what had happened. She explained I actually had a five year guarantee. “very misleading images”

We bought a bed in the January sales and it has just arrived. From the images shown, we assumed the headboard was included, however when the bed arrived there was no headboard. When you chose the colour of the bed, the headboard changed colour to give you an idea of what it would look like, so we presumed it was included in the price. On 31st of December 2016 we ordered 2 beds - bases & mattresses. Order No. B4934193 On that day we were given an AM delivery date of 26th January 2017. So on 28th December 2016 my husband and I decided that we needed a new bed and went to have a look in Bensons for Beds in Derby. We were encouraged to go on the comfort station so that we knew what sort of mattress would be good for us. “Terrible, Terrible Service, worst Servive Ever”

I would not recommend Benson for Beds to my worst enemy. The whole experience has been a total nightmare, keeping it short we paid nearly £1400 for an igel bed and it took 2 months , many hours on the telephone and 3 different deliveries (second delivery finally turned up at 21.45) to get our complete and correct order of a divan, mattress and a headboard .How difficult do you think that would be, poor poor service, only exception was the help the store staff gave, unfortunately their hands… Read Full Review

Ordered a bed, 1st bed delivered was not what was ordered and delivered on the wrong delivery slot causing a additional half day off work, 2nd bed was what was ordered but damaged, also delivered in the wrong time slot causing additional day off work, 3rd bed delivered was still not in perfect condition but we decided to accept it as already lost 2 days wages with the final half day off. Please measure the access to your bedroom as Bensons don't tell you this when you order your bed, if the mattress or bed doesn't fit up the stairs and has to be returned you will lose your deposit or 20% of the order value. Even if you go back to the shop and choose a different product. The driver who delivered my mattress said they had 4 failed deliveries that morning. It was only 11.30! They appear to make more money from keeping customers deposits than they do selling beds. BEWARE!!!!… Read Full Review

We had a similar experience however we went back in and changed our mattress for a zip and link and were charged an extra £300 and they changed our credit agreement without our authorisation. If it hadn't been for the mattress being so comfy I would have definitely given them a 1 or 2 star review!

NO BED ON VAN Chose the bed, paid for it, told delivery would be 3 - 4 weeks - not a problem. Day of delivery - phone call to say bed would be delivered within half hour, 10 minutes later phone call to say "bed is not on the van". After several phone calls to shop, customer service, someone said that they would ring us back - no one ever rang us back - we kept ringing - just to be told that it was a warehouse problem - after 2 weeks of us ringing and no one getting back to use we went in… Read Full Review

Do not expect to speak to a human in under 60 minutes on Customer Service Line. Delivery promises broken by text message. Totally Disorganised Delivery schedule. Poor Quality beds ours had to be replaced after 5 months due to the damage to the springs made on delivery when the mattress was bent in half. Six week wait for replacement bed. Very poor delivery service. We purchased our bed on 28th Dec. Delivery was booked for the 19th Jan. We collapsed our bed the night before so they would be able to put the new bed in our room. On the day they phoned to say they would be with us between 12-1300. Placed a order for a igel mattress only costing over £1000 and arranged for delivery in 3 weeks time. Booked a day off work and waited in nearly 8 hours. Received text and calls from driver on updates through the day. Then he calls me to say I wont be with you after all as I don't have any mattresses. Having purchased a new mattress and base,headboard and mattress protector in January, we received an email to say that the delivery would be between 12.00- 18.00 on the specified day. I ordered a bed from Bensons just after Christmas. It's still not been delivered and they are 2 months late on delivery. on the first delivery date the confirmed the actual delivery and rang an hour before the time so say they wont' be able to deliver. when I called their delivery depot to escalate I was told there was no senior manager to speak to.
