“Awful fitting and after sales 'service'”

Bought some bedroom furniture off the shop floor, checked it over and all was ok, no damage etc. Paid for the fitting service and wish I hadn't bothered. In transit the bottom plinth on the chest of drawers has been split. The wardrobe, well the doors fell in on themselves whilst being brought into the house, they now hang unevenly and do not slide together properly because the runners have been screwed in unevenly and do not meet the top of the wardrobe. “Awful customer service”

We bought a sliding door wardrobe and assembled it according to the instructions. We have an experience of putting up wardrobes. The mechanism on sliding doors didn't work properly, so we searched for help at the customer service. We needed somebody to look at it and find out what causes the issue. “Spend 1700 and expect good service?”

Bought a £1700 mattress and bed. Explained window of delivery we needed because we were going abroad. Not a problem says the sales team, who were actually nice and good at the job, they promised to call next working day to confirm delivery. No call. So day 2 I called - oh we don't know cos delivery people haven't told us when. We will check now and call you back. No call again. Can't recommend highly enough. My elderley mother and I visited the Northwich store to find a suitable bed and headboard for her. We were shown, and tried, several beds and ordered the one my mother was happy with. The store assistant was extremely helpful and polite. Delivery was scheduled for 2 weeks. I received a text message 4 days before and the delivery staff telephoned the day before delivery with a time slot. “Terrible service poor quality”

We purchased the Prague suite on the 11/01/14 waited 6 weeks for delivery and found the sliding doors to be damaged and the end panel of the wardrobe had a large chunk broken. FOUR!!!! Deliveries later, we still have damaged doors and wardrobe side seven months later. Each delivery we have had to take time off work to wait in for yet more damaged doors to be delivered, two sets that have not even made it off the delivery truck before the damage was noticed. “Quality of Bed and Customer Service is awful”

We were very hopeful when shopping in Bensons, my wife has a pain condition and requires quality bed rest so this was deemed an important purchase. After being assured that one particular product (hand made) was the best in the store we were convinced it would solve our problems. I bought a bed in March from Bensons in Bromborough, the staff were very helpful I went in quite a few times trying the beds, however when I finally bought one it wasn't right for me so I used the forty day trial offer, once again the staff both customer services and in store couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. “Great experience at Merry Hill Store”

I can only commend John at the Merry Hill store. Spent a little more than intended but was well worth it for the customer service and product we recieved. It was a pleasure from start to finish and would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a bed. Absolute rubbish customer services no help what so ever. I was told that I would get a call when delivery was being made NO CALL RECEIVED even though they insist they tried my son was in the house and heard nothing say they deliver until 6 called them and my bed was back at the depot by 3.30 and that is 150 miles from me. I think someone had an early day probably to hot to deliver beds and the best part is they can't re arrange delivery for the best part of a week don't throw your old 1 out… Read Full Review

“Proud to sell awfull quality”

We bought Royal Crown Ortho Super King Divan from Bensons and was really excited to get it. We had our old Seally for 7 years and being 5 months pregnant, we thought it was time to treat ourselves with a new one. The day before they rang to confirm delivery between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. On the day at about 7.30 a.m. the delivery men rang to say they would be delivering the bed in the next 45 mins, which usually means 2 - 3 hours later. “Useless delivery men”

I recently spent a significant amount of money on new beds and new bedroom furniture. The store I visited in Keighley was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately their delivery team let them down. The beds arrived and my sister had stayed in for the day, the two delivery men were rude and unhelpful. “Poor quality beds”

We were drawn into the sale prices and bought one of Bensons for Beds top of the range divan sets for half price. We realised pretty quickly we'd made a mistake on the comfort of the mattresses that we'd picked and were able to take advantage of their comfort guaranttee. However we were not happy with what was on offer for replacements as we could not find any bed that fitted in with our new criteria even in their biggest store. “Bensons for beds equals a waste of money”

Whatever you do DON’T waste your money buying an expensive bed from Bensons for beds. 12 months ago I bought a bed which they quoted £2,400 for so I expected it to be a well-made comfortable bed which would last a long time. Ok £2.400 was their mickey mouse price as like all their beds the hyped up price was deflated to a more realistic level but £1,000 just for a base and a mattress was still an expensive bed. Bensons4beds customer service is a joke

It doesn’t matter how much money you spend on a bed at Bensons as they’ll just grab your money then stick 2 fingers up at you.
After posting a review I was asked to contact him. I did this and he arrange for a 2nd inspection of the bed as he wasn’t happy with the first one (his words). The bed was inspected 16 days ago by another independent expert who emailed the report off in front of me. Since then I’m heard nothing which confirms my opening statement, Bensons4beds customer service is a joke, except that I’m not laughing.

The bed expert informed me that a pillow top bed is not suitable for a single person as the strain is not balanced and the problem I’m experiencing is to be expected. The shop salesman with 8 years’ experience of selling beds should have known this and he knew that I was sleeping alone in it so why was it highly recommended for me?. With hindsight I can see why he wanted me to buy this bed. Bensons4beds have a competition among all the sales staff for who can sell the most from their most expensive beds range. I was tricked into buying this bed by someone who was the company’s top salesman for the past 3 years. Perhaps he thought “yes it’s a good bed but if he’s not comfortable, tough as I just want to win the competition”

Why have Bensons not contacted me since they received the report?
Perhaps they realise that they are in the wrong and they think that if they ignore me I’ll get fed up and drop the matter. Haha, no chance. As Bensons4beds are not interested in me as a customer I’ll simply resort to legal action, after all, according to the law “goods should be reasonably suitable for the purpose intended”. This was the most expensive bed I’ve ever slept in and it was also the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. I don’t see how bensons4beds can say that makes sense so I’m sure that the magistrate will order a full refund as well as my costs

Once this case hits the newspapers I wonder how many other dissatisfied benson4beds customers decide that they also will take legal action. I’ve been in business for over 30 years in which time I’ve taken several scumbags to court and won every time. To sue someone the procedure is very simple so go for it

If you want a comfortable, well made bed at a reasonable price, don’t go to bensons4beds
