“Didn't think companies could be this bad”

In the age of online instant reviews it takes some balls to be as shockingly bad as Bensons For Beds - they simply do not care. I ordered a mattress on 18 January for delivery on 8th February. This was confirmed via text the day before. Delivery day I get a call from Bensons warehouse telling me no mattress and I have to ring customer service to sort it out! “Surround sound TV bed”

“Outrageous ”

Ordered children's bunk beds. When being delivered both boxes were ripped. I would not sign the order delivery sheet till they stated delivered with ripped boxes. Parents travelled 115 miles to help ensemble. Children's old bunk beds taken down the Saturday morning all excited for the new ones Saturday afternoon. When upstairs half the parts missing. “faulty mattress”

Bought a bed and mattress from bensons beds within a few weeks the mattress has bent at the bottom. Had a man come out today to look at it and was told its not a manafactuing fault and it looks like someone has sat on it and there mattresses ant designed for people to sit on!!! “Take money and run”

My son paid for his or should I say what he was told would be his bed a month ago. I'm writing this review for the first time I have ever written one. My son who has suffered a brain injury required a decent bed to aid in his recovery. We took his old bed away for him when he was told the bed would be delivered last week. Many sympathies - I paid £1,000 for an order for my grand daughter end of November, my family endured weeks of problems with Bensons ie non & part deliveries - main problems seemed to be with the Leicestershire distribution centre & customer service. Our local store was eventually instrumental in sorting it all out with delivery to the store itself & local fitter delivering so can't really fault them. Eventually delivered &fitted 11 January with hard fought for compensation credited 15th January. Wishing you the Best of Luck

“Lieing derby manager”

The derby manager is a lier and does and says anything for a sale.I paid £1200. For a bed the manager promised the van drivers would take away the old bed this was not the case they do not do this for you and leave you in a mess . also the box it came in was all ripped open with wood hanging out.what a rubbish firm I recommend you do not shop with them… Read Full Review

Am not surprised had my own disaster last week plus my uncle who purchased a mattress and was told they would put it on the bed for him as he is 75 well they defused and did nothing they left him am disgusted seems like they will just say anything to get a sale

Ordered a bed in April 2015, delivered may 2015-faulty!! Not once have they called me I have done all the chasing, still now waiting my new bed base, 8 months on!! Spoke to a manger today and was very rude, said I cud have 10%compensation and said I'm lucky to have been offered that! Had delivery dates and always cancelled at last minute due to no stock or faulty base etc!! We have been paying Al this time for a faulty product! “Bensons bed base with poor ventilation”

We bought a Bensons kingsize divan with Sleepmasters mattress - please don't make the same mistake. We noticed damp between the mattress and divan when turning the mattress and the Sleepmasters leaflet clearly stated that a suitably ventilated base should be used. Complained to Bensons who arranged for an independent inspection. “service from distribution is absolutely shocking ”

Store service great. Bedroom furniture arrived after 5 weeks, damaged bedside cabinet, unfinished wardrobe. Had to wait 7 weeks for redelivery of the 2 items.should of been delivered today, only bedside on the lorry! Unbelievable! I've called customer service 3 times and have been told will be called back, waited all day, no call! Never ever will I use this company again! Ordered a wardrobe in Brighton store. The service in the store was really good. The delivery guys were friendly too. The wardrobe arrived with the wrong colour! ups massive mistake. I agreed to keep the colour even when it is boring. They offered cheque as a compensation. It has been nearly TWO MONTHS now and STILL awaiting a chq. This is a short version!I ordered and paid for a Stompa Mi-Zone high sleeper unit for my granddaughter from Bensons. Her family & I chose carefully as Stompa beds seem to be solidly made. Ordered and paid for a child's bed frame just before the new year. I had to wait 2 weeks for a delivery and pay £44.50 for an AM delivery. I was the second delivery of the day which was great. However on.y one part of my order was on the Lorry. The delivery centre said that they could not inform me if it was on lathe Lorry as they didn't have a manifest for the Lorry. I ordered my bed 3 months ago blind as to what people thought of the company, after coming home I herd nothing but bad reviews and was so very worried that the £1500 spent on a new bed would be nothing but hassle but I was so very wrong. We ordered some wardrobes before Christmas with delivery promised for 18 Jan 2016. Received confirmation a week before and told delivery in the morning. They were delivered by two wonderful guys who even took them to the bedrooms putting shoe covers on their feet so not to mark the carpet. We had arranged through Benson's for them to come and fit them the same day. He arrived on time and within three hours, he had fitted them perfectly. we bought a mattress with a 5 year guarantee. What a waste of money. When the mattress became lumpy and uncomfortable, Bensons sent out a so called independent assessor ,who apparently said the mattress was ok. I bought one of these from Bensons Beds in Feb 2014. Within 3 months, the sides had started bulging out on the mattress. I complained to Bensons who sent a chap out to check it. He asked if we sat on the sides of the bed, I said only to get dressed in the morning, like I've done for the last 40 years on other beds without a problem!!!!! Manufacturing defect with original purchase. Replacement mattress and base was damaged. House was damaged, which required hall repainting (mattress pulled along driveway through mud, up the stair wall and carpet). Required large wall re-painting and stairs/landing/bedroom professionally cleaned. Bensons admitted liability & paid up after 3 weeks. Waited in for 6 hours for 3rd replacement and not delivered.
