This company took money out of my bank account without my permission after I had cancelled my direct debit and policy with them. When I tried to get the money back I got a different story every time I called them. I am still waiting for my money and an explanation 3months later. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!!!! DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THESE 'PEOPLE', everyone I dealt with (over the phone of course) was SOOOOO unhelpful and utterly rude...Ahhh but not when you're signing up though...
Purchased car insurance, third party f&t, 24 year old female, 1.8 ltre, BMW, hence, the only reason i went for them was because it was the cheapest quote around, just under 1k...
First year I was with them, well, everything was ok, great actually, the cheapest 'deal' and I was delighted...

I insured My monther a she was widowed and could not afford to keep all costs up so I paid this for her. What a carry on when i wanted to change my bank details. I was told that I was not able to as the policy was not in my name even though i had been paying them for 3 years. They threatened to cancel the policy and refunsed to re-se t up the direct debit. After 3 months of total hassel they eventually set up the direct debit again. This was after manager call after manager call and many ema ...

Iinsured my 1.2 punto for £975 third party, cheapest i could find as a new driver.
After about 2 weeks of not recieving my policy documents and about to phone the company, i came home one day with a message on my phone informing me from Quinn that they had recieved my policy documents sent back to them which had been wrongly delivered to another address like mine. They gave me a number to phone and i was met by a friendly customer service woman who kindly helped me sort everything out, i ...

I insured with Quinn when my son was learning to drive, Quinn gave the best quote for a provisional driver by a long way but when he passed his test the policy went from £1400 to £6000 so be warned. I have cancelled the policy and that also cost a small fortune!!!!!

Rang them to request a change of address and they wanted me to pay an extra £80 per month....apparently its a more high risk postcode....funny that because when I got some quotes from other insurers my premium only would have been £10 extra a month...so cancelling the policy with them. DONT BE MISLEAD BY THEIR CHEAP QUOTE. Looking back know, it was too true good to be true....getting VERY CHEAP comp insurance as a 24 year old lady driver with 2 year exp, 4 points on license and with ...

I insured with Quinn- Direct after finding them the cheapese car insurance on the compare websites. I got my car and insured on a provisional license as I was learning at the time. I paid for the insurance in full. However, 3 months down the line I have now passed my driving test & rang to inform them and they have put it up by £445 which is same as what I have already paid, so they have doubled it!! Plus, because I had paid the first part in full, I then had to pay the money up front in F ...

Insured my car through Quinn as they came back with the lowest quote. Moved house after 3 months of the policy and customer service staff informed me that due to the postcode being higher risk the premium would be increasing from 40.50 to 84.95 pounds a mounth. Checked on comparison websites and the new quote is about £50 pounds a mounth.I have cancel policy and have to pay 350 pounds after 3,5 month of cover.
50% of beginning premium plus 20% of additional premium.

    Never agein !!!!!!!!!! ...

I'm today cancelling my policy with Quinn after 3 years with them. They are great until you're unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident.

I was unlucky enough to have a minor bump (we're talking really minor here, scuffed bumpers, cracked lights, and no injuries) the day after my policy renewed. Quinn had already sent out the new policy agreement with payments etc on it, but then tried to retrospectively recalculate it (*after* they had agreed to the original), and want to more than doub ...

Insured my car through Quinn as they came back with the lowest quote. Moved house (about 500 yards away) after about 6 months of the policy and customer service staff informed me that due to the postcode being higher risk the premium would be increasing by £72 pounds. Apparently the fact that the car is now parked overnight in a garage inside a secure gated car park does nothing to negate this higher risk. Checked on comparison websites and the new quote is about £1 cheaper than the ...

My hubby whilst learning to drive had an accident in April 09. Quinn-Direct Car Insurance still (now October) have not settled the claim. After complaining to head office, it took 4 weeks and 15 phone calls we got a letter (had to get it faxed as it still hasnt arrived in post), to say that they are currently not in position to settle the claim due to statements they have to check. Its taken them 7 months, in the meantime the car in still lying in a garage, fully comp insurance was paid for in f ...

My daughter has just passed her driving test after having the policy for 5 months with quinn direct, on a provisional licence. We rang to inform them of the change, and was told her insurance would now cost £327 extra on her premium. Instead of £42 per month it has now shot up to £109 per month. There is a huge cancellation fee, so we cannot afford to cancel. We will wait until the policy ends. Then stay well away. Quinn Direct are a rip off.

About a month ago we started a new policy with quinn direct car insurance to insure my car. I filled out the direct debit form and sent it off WITH the no claims evidence letter from my old insurer. a month later after thinking everything was fine, I recieve a letter telling me the policy has been cancelled from the 20th of september, which is over a week ago of me recieving the letter (meaning I have been driving uninsured unknowingly!!)! I quickly contact them, they say they haven't recieved t ...

In April of this year I put my son with a provisional licence as a named driver on my Clio 1.2 for £35 per month as this was the cheapest quote I had found. In July he passed his test and Quinn put my insurance up to £138 per month! I rang customer service and asked how much it would be to cancel the policy and was told £35 cancellation fee. At beginning of September I cancelled my direct debit and also rang to cancel the policy. A few days later I received a letter from Quinn ...

My policy was canclled without me knowing as they said there was no mandate set up when there actually was as it was emailed to them as they asked me to.
They then said that they have not recieved my email. Which they replied to and I have a copy of.
They also told me that to start up my policy I would have to pay £1100. when I asked them what happend to the deposit I put down they said I have lost it all.

So I would reccomend everyone to avoid Quinn Direct, there left hand doesn't know w ...

Quinn-Direct operate a scam which brings them to the top of the list on search engines for cheap insurance for young drivers. What they do no tell you is unlike most reputable brokers they increase your premium massively if you are unfortunate enough to pass your driving test, they will hit you with a "variation" cost. I am talking about £2,500 extra. Getting your money back is an epic, so do yourself a favour, AVOID!!

Quinn direct is a great company until you make a claim.

They take the remaining premium off the top and then your excess, as well as undervaluing your car.

Customer service is rubbish, from the highest level to the lowest they provide appalling service, basically just quote irrelevant points to you in an attempt to pacify you, whilst none of them appear available to make any decisions whatsoever.
Poor customer service, they are the only insurance company i know who are trying to make a profit ...
