“good value for money”

In my opinion you get a lot for what you pay. I've got CRM, billing, product, stock, projects etcetera all in one. You are able to set lot's of settings in Mamut. If been using Mamut since 2007 for two different companies (on the same license). I've used office pro en office start. I am a light user: one user a time and not that much data and for that Mamut works fine. Helpdesk is ok. On the telephone you get good support. In evening and weekends you have to wait or use tutorials. I don't like the...

“An expensive mistake”

We bought the E3 version of Mamut Business software for our small business and regretted it. Apart from being slow and unreliable it can't round numbers properly so our invoices are often incorrect by a penny (e.g. 9.99 item shows as 10.00 in total). Not a large amount of money but it drives our accountant mad. Their tech support can't resolve it, apparently it might get fixed in a future version but it has been like this for a long time. How can a company possibly claim to produce serious accounting...

We bought Mamut accounting in 2010 after training had been cancelled twice finally managed to get onto a training day at which point we found out we had been mis-sold the product and it was not suited to our company. We were duped into buying Mamut E5 as it was recommend by Microsoft as a replacement for MS Accounting (Microsoft's rob dogs decided suddenly not to support Accounting in the UK even though we'd just brought their system.) Anyway, we found Mamut complicated, cumbersome, slow, flaky and more trouble than it was worth. So much so that it was never used (money down the drain, but lesson learned). Started with the accounting version, but had to upgrade to Enterprise 5 to get support product bundles. The software is bloated with frequent crashes. The compulsory service contract is expensive and the quality of the support is poor. Support requests take 2 days for replies on average. There are few UK accountants supportng it, no books, no forums and poor manuals. Giving up with this program - pencil and paper quicker, easier and cheaper!...

i am with them since 2005 they do not send me the renewal of domains I receive the invoice by post, I'll pay by credit card and they delete the domains they almost never respond to my email and make me pay about 160 ' for the reactivation of each domain this problem happens for two years in a row in 2010 and now in 2011 and now are three days that I write to them but no one answers me my domains still in redemptionperiod the damage is priceless I do not recommend anyone to work with this...

We have been using Mamut since 2005, starting with 2 licences, we now have 9. Main reason to continue working with it is that it offers all functionality you want and employees with different responsibilities have access to the information they need. The biggest problem I'm having with Mamut is that they systematically release new versions without properly testing. The result is that after an upgrade, some functions which worked properly suddenly fail, requiring time consuming work-arounds and endless...

“Tread very carefully before committing to a solution...”

Tread very carefully before committing to a solution of this type. We struggled with the Mamut software for over a year and never managed to get it to work in a way which suited us, so we decided to ditch it for another system. Mamut support has been poor throughout our relationship and training virtually non existent, but once you decide not to renew your license they literally chop you off from your legacy data. Product mamut E5 We have had problems with this software having used it for a year. It does look good out of the box (and i wish it had lived up to the promise) but overa period of time we were Worn down by its overly cumbersome proceedures. I see loads of reviews for it saying how great it is but where is one from someone who has used it for a long time? I spent 3 days getting to know it before i bought it but hardly scratched the surface. Book- keeping wise we found the proceedures slow...

I found this review very helpful because...we found from the start after purchase 10/09 that it was not user-friendly & stuck with using myob. we were mis-sold the package in the first place with it not living up to the claims of seamless transition etc a waste of over £600! now they are chasing a 2nd year roll over because in the small print on the T& C we received with the package AFTER we paid says if don't cancel before 3 months prior to contract renewakl date you HAVe to have it & pay for another year! can they do this???
