Good Points: Open kitchen Spacious
Bad Points: Can be quite hot When you walk in, you are left standing a minute or two until someone comes to get you a table
General comments: Went in the Upton Grill Room with three friends for a quick lunch. They all ordered the same dish which was not a very good portion for the price but they were happy. I ordered soup and wheaten bread. Soup was okay, not as warm as I would have liked. However, the wheaten bread was so hard it could have broken windows.

The Upton Grill Room in the Templeton Hotel is suited for everybody. The two page menu has a large choice of items that will suit 99.9% of people. The menu changes twice a year and makes the most of fresh local produce. I would go to this restaurant frequently and have never had cause to complain about any aspect of my meal (not even a slight grumble!) Prices are average and you have the added advantage of being able to sit in the Hotel bar after your meal. An excellent place for a great meal!
