Great gun mod the grips enlarge the front handle. Leave it stock except for trigger tune. Drill out rear sight hole larger as the gun hits left with no adjustment. Use tranny fluid as a lube and it will last many years!

I got my HB17 new from my dad when i was about 14 or 15. I am now 19 and i shoot it whenever I can. I have killed large rabbits with this using Gamo's PBA pellets, though i usually hunt squirrels with it. it can get headshots at 15 yards and CM shots at 30, which puts my GAMO to shame. Would recommend this gun for anyone interested in pellet handgun hunting, and excluding some break barrel handguns, is one of the only one powerful enough for the job, and unlike the crosmans, it is not made o ...

Not perfect but a very solid field or target piece for a very fair price. Very accurate and built in a traditional fashion. No plastic to be found!! A great value and one of my favorite pellet pistols.
Tiring to pump if you'll be shooting a lot. The single screw holding the grips allow for some handgrip movement.

The Benjamin Sheridan HB17 is my all-time favorite air gun. Oh, I've had Crosmans and Daisy's and Gamo's - I even have a Beeman P1, that I love. Each of these weapons have their own advantages and disadvantages, but none that I've tried has all of the good points of the HB17.
I've owned my HB17 for over 15 years, making it a pre-Crosman-takeover Sheridan. It is nickel plated, and I'm sorry they don't make this weapon anymore, for it is simply gorgeous. The newer HB-17's don't differ much in q ...

I've had variations on the Benjamin Sheridan HB17 for decades.

My previous model had the rounded pump handle. This one now comes with a slimmer handle that is actually harder to handle. Be careful while pumping because you can pinch fingers easily.

Shoots like a dream and accuracy is always good.

As always, the painted finish leaves a lot to be desired. Scratch it once and the brass underneath will show.

By the way, don't get crazy and remove the paint to expose the brass. Some t ...

Before I decided on the Benjamin Sheridan HB17 pistol, I borrowed my friend's HB17 for a few weeks. The more I play with it the more I like it. It's my first air pistol and it will probably be my last one. After many shots I found it shoots towards the left side. I adjusted the rear sight a bit, and now it seems right on target. Very accurate.

The Benjamin Sheridan HB17 is my first and only airgun; a start to a hobby that I enjoy more and more every day. I've put about 1000 rounds through my HB17 now, and it appears to be breaking in nicely. It's easy to pump; three pumps seem to be enough for paper targets, but 5 or 6 is a lot more entertaining when I'm pinking wood targets (3/4" X 1/4" strips that I make from offcuts from my woodshop).

My only complaints are the pins that hold the forearm stock, which keep working themselves lo ...
