Below is the list of reasons why you should not use bairstow Eve's. 1) they took careless photos which really didn't market our house well, I had to ask them to one back out to re take the photos 2) they tuned up late for meetings with us 3) they took £90 for the Rightmove application and didn't upload any of the fancy logos onto Rightmove 4) they offer awful customer service 5) very bad communication between us and them, it felt like we was always chasing them for info about the house 6)... Appointed BE Epsom branch as joint agent, they introduced a potential buyer, however, were not in a position to make an offer. Then appointed Brows property services in Stoneleigh who after a few months had lapsed, showed the property to the same potential buyer, who made an offer through Browns, which was accepted. When we moved in this rented house we realized that the hob in the kitchen wasnt working which wasnt that bad itself, but anytime I cooked something the smoke alarm went off for at least 5-10 mins. I reported this issue in November 2012. Today is the 23rd March 2013 - it still doesnt work. The light in the kitchen stopped working as well when the "electrician" from Trent Maintenence attempted to fix the hob. So now no lighting, no hob. We appointed BerstowEves as our letting agents. They charged 12% for doing very little. After terminating our agreement with them we are struggeling to get the tenants deposit back. She explained the whole process to me at the start and said what they would do when acting on my behalf. They did exactly as she had said. I used Nottingham Bairstow Eves Lettings to let my property and they did so in 2 days and kept me informed all the way through the process until the tenants moved in. I was particularly surprised by how indepth the knowledge of the staff was and detailed the inventory was. When I decided to move I invited Bairstow Eves to sell my house (A mistake I will not repeat) I had to pay £400 up front and on completion pay a commission of 3%. The stratford branch in London tried to harass and bully me into making the exchange of contracts quicker and mocked my structural concerns as being ridiculous..actually told me the vendors would re-market the property just to spite me!! We are selling and our buyer is selling through BE in Putney, London. There are only 3 of us in the chain. Simple. All the paperwork's been done and we have been waiting 6 weeks to exchange. The buyer at the bottom of the chain was according to BE 'on holiday' for a vast amount of time. Then he wasn't. Then he was. Only a Bairstow Agent would say that if you wanted the property then you should have paid more for it. The fact that the offer was accepted and FEES were already paid at the point the Agent Gazumped with a higher offer. I think its disgusting and sums this Agent all over. 9 times out of 10 they don't even have another buyer interested, they are trying to make more commission. This is why I wouldn't take notice of any Lies, or any other sob story that passes the lips of these Agents. My advice walk away!

Is it possible to give a minus rating? What can I say about the Stoke Newington Bairstow Eves office. My only advice is don't go with them if you want to sell your property. Shakil points out the bad on your property, the stuff even you don't notice and the head guy Hector, well if he spent less time having a cigarette outside maybe you might feel supported, especially when you have a difficult sale. Vile man.

Like a misled fool, I instructed the Bairstow Eves sharks to sell a house I was left in a will. They kept insisting I reduced the price & when I had reduced it by nearly £60k they came up with a buyer who wanted another 10% off the reduced price.

Appauling customer service- AVOID at all costs, would not even give 1 star but unfortunately this is not a option.
Trying to view is vertually impossible unless you are willing to sell through them, arrange a mortgage through them basically make them as much money for as little work as possible.
My viewing appointment was cancelled on 4 seperate occasssions in the end I have given up and gone through the other estate agent who i found to be far superior.

I would much sooner rip my teeth out one by one, than use these overcharging, ignorant, amateurs again. They will tie you into a 6 month contract & the calls for you to lower your asking price will come within a few weeks.
Go with a decent local agent that will charge you the going rate, a 12/13 week contract & give you a much more, personal professional service, without the fee grabbing & being pestered.

Bairstow eves promises are just not worth anything. Thhey promised me they would always send someone out when there was a viewing - Rubbish! Shocked when I asked who was coming. I have 2 young children and they sent 3 views between tea time and bed time. I sold the house and with the astronomical fees we are paying about £100 per hour for the worst service ever! For a company that has been in existence for so many years it is a shame their staff are not trained to perform professionally for the sake of their image.

I am going through this now with the Strood branch in Kent, the service so far is just absolutely shocking. They took £90 from us for the upgrade on Righmove but they never upgraded us, they turn up late, they took awful photos, their customer service is just shocking. I am going to ask to get out of the contract because they are so bad.
