Good Points: None
Bad Points: Some staff didn't call back when messages were left in the office Didn't get feedback from viewings.
General comments: I have purchased houses through Haart Estate Agents and also attempted to sell through Haart (through no choice of my own). As I have experienced their service from both sides, I feel I have enough experience to give a fair comment.
We sold our house via another agent (a local independent) with whom we were very happy. We found the house we wanted via Haart. A couple of months later our buyer pulled out and we were told by Haart that we could lose the house we were purchasing unless we put our house on the market with them. We kept our house on the market with both agents, but had to increase our sale price to allow for the fact that Haart's fees were triple that of our other agent! Whenever we had a viewing via Haart, none of the staff called with feedback. When I phoned to discuss our sale or purchase, staff often seemed unsure about the details of my case.
To make matters worse, a few weeks later, the house we were purchasing decided to pull out completely. I only found this out by calling Haart daily to ask if they could contact the owner as we had not heard anything for a while. We then took our house off the market with Haart as we had sold again via our original agent.
Unfortunately, the next house we wished to purchase was also only on the market with Haart, so we found ourselves having to deal with them again! Once again, I felt I had to do all the leg work to push the sale forward. Fortunately we got on well with the vendors, so we were able to call each other directly and miss out Haart altogether. My advice is: Go for a smaller independent who rely on word of mouth and quality of service to survive.

Selling my property through haart was the best decision i ever made. They were very efficient and sensitive towards my expectations and requirements.

It was in 2004 when I went to Haart estate agents in Hemel Hempstead.
We viewed a property for rent through them which stated it is available in the middle of the month and when we paid a deposit was told it won't be available until a few weeks later and we already made plans to move. They refused to give my money back to look elsewhere.

Before I start I have never complained about anything - I used to be a complaints manager for a bank - I hate complaints - but sometimes you cant help but complain, when you are treated badly - I am writing this purely so other people may make an informed decision on how this office has treated me - I hope they do not treat anyone else the same way, and I hope they read this and improve their customer care - I would not recommend or use Haart's ever!

I have been very disappointed with FJ Lord (Haart company for London). I used them for renting a "fully-furnished" one-bed flat. I visited the flat while it was being "refurbished" or so I was told it would be. A month later when I moved into the flat (I signed the contract before checking the flat as I was moving back from abroad and had nowhere else to go to), the only thing that had been done had been painting of the whole apartment (it smelled very strongly for over a month), the carpets had ...
