I booked to travel from Edinburgh Airport to Inverness on 8th May. While waiting for the 8.30pm bus at the airport I realised that by 8.50 that the bus from the Park and Ride at Inverkeithing was on a Bank Holiday timetable and therefore I was going to miss my connection at 9.15 if I waited until the next bus at 9.00pm. I was forced to take a Taxi at the cost of £26 or risk being stranded at the Park and Ride! How could I book a bus that didn't exist! Up till now I was very happy with... (read more)

At the beginning of the month i booked a ticket with megabus going from London Victoria coach station to Newcastle. Due to the last minute decision I expected the coach to be expensive as i had never used a coach before. The price was extremely cheap, costing me just eight pounds there and eight pounds back- a big difference compared to the train costing just over one hundred. I booked the coach and to be honest was expecting the worst having read countless reviews and hearing stories from... (read more)

I have used Megabus in the US before and the people were not nearly as rude to their customers. I had an issue with my booking a journey from Edinburgh to London and needed the change the dates. At the time, it was not an urgent situation so I thought it would be fine to just email instead of call. That turned out to be a terrible idea. They didn't respond to my email before it became urgent, and because of this I wasn't able to change my booking that is supposed to leave today, so I had to... (read more)

This is not about a using Megabus, but being the receiver of bad driving. 16/04/2013 Bus number ME2 number plate KX61 GD2 twice past me whilst I was cycling down the Old Kent Road in a very dangerous manner. The second pass showed intent on scaring me as I had a word with his about the first pass. This was at 7.15am when the roads are relatively quiet but the driver of this coach was in a hurry. As a university student, cheap transport between Newcastle and Birmingham is important. Trains start at £30, whilst the Megabus starts at a tenner for the same journey. Admittedly it will take at least 2 hours longer, but for the price you're paying, it is less than a quarter of the fuel cost by car. In reality, it isn't going to be anything like first class. You will probably have to share a seat, and in honesty, lots of the people on the bus will smell. But remember what you've paid.... (read more)

Sure you were on a megabus? reason I ask is this, I use them all the time, and granted they are not always the best, but not once in 3 years have i been allocated a seat, nor do they carry inspectors, nor do thier drivers work for 24 hours, its illegal, think you may have your wires crossed, or they used a different company to help them out, if it is the case, then Megabus and there drivers cannot be held accountable for the actions of this conductor.

How stupid?? Yes, we did forget the bag, however, it doesn't take 28 days to locate a bag which was on the bus, and we were exactly the same as you, we called as the bus was terminating at the next station!!
Just curious, did you get your luggage back?
