    The bus company lost my luggage which contained my clothing, shoes and laptop and school text book. As a full time grad student you can imagine how distraught, I was. First, the bus driver would not let me checkt the bus, because he had arrived late he sped off without allowing me to fully check the baggage compartment. I called customer service, which did not return my call, so I called again the following day to me told that they had no idea what I was talking about, because the girl I spoke to the day before had done nothing about it. The current person I spoke to however was to call me back, two hours passed by without a call back from them, so I called back again, only to be put on a long hold and then finally to voicemail, called again, voicemail, I called these people back 6 times to be told that they had already told me that the luggage was not on the bus, there was nothing they could do. Could I check the bus myself? the answer was no the bus was now in shop and they had no idea when it would be back out. How did my bag just happen to walk off the bus?

    What am I supposed to do now without my laptop and now I have to pay the library back for the book that was in my luggage. The customer service of this company is really disgusting. I also sent in an e-mail to them last week and I am yet to hear a response. My word of advice to you is they suck, they do not value their customers. save your money!!!!

    Below is a letter sent to Megabus advising them of the service i received on one of thier journeys. the response was (besides being sent to the wrong email address and therefore having to be chased by myself) was basically "it happens" (not in those exact words obviously). They did however, offer a refund of monies paid, and a free journey which in my mind completely makes up for me missing the final farewell to my beloved grandfather and also being there to help support my grandmother..... inc ...

    I decided to try to save money by taking megabus for a return from Manchester to London. On both journeys, the bus was hours late - a fact which did not bother any megabus member of staff in the slightest and no sign of apology or regret was forthcoming. When asked about when the bus in question was arriving, I was told "we have no idea." On the journey down, the toilet was clearly not adequately cleaned as the whole bus stank of it.     5 return trips SHEFFIELD TO LONDON with Mega Bus over the last 18 months and not one problem last return only cost 50p for couple as the ad said FREE tickets KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

    When the Mega Bus is packed, it's uncomfortable on long journeys, and the toilet is something to be desired.If you have long legs, or are tall, I would suggest sitting upstairs on the double deckers, and towards the back of the coach, there is a lot more leg room!

    We took Megabus from Washington, DC to NYC for Halloween weekend....$6 each, roundtrip. I find the price amazing considering that the bus was clean, on time and comfortable. My daughter and I realize that now we can travel to NYC anytime we want for a night or two instead of waiting for a long weekend or a school break. Go Megabus!

    I have traveled Mega bus a handful of times, mostly between Chicago and Minneapolis. My experiences have been varied. I have consistently found Mega bus to be the cheapest option, and it scores points for convenience. Reservations can't be refunded, but they can be rescheduled for $1. I also think Mega bus attracts a better class of passenger than Greyhound, perhaps due to only online booking. As other reviewers mentioned, you trade some comforts for the lower price: there is no station to wait ...

    Excellent standard of vehicles and timekeeping. I believe that there were more services on the Inverness - Edinburgh / Glasgow routes when they were operated by Rapsons coaches under the original Scottish citylink contract. Overall, reasonable service, well priced compared to rail travel.

    We have no experience of Megabus UK but the coach we travelled on in America was comfortable and had good airconditioning and the toilet was better than on many planes.

    Very good reliable service, modern coaches (it's part of the stagecoach group), no breakdowns, nothing bad except the price in my opinion.

    MegaBus - well I guess the old saying you get what you pay for goes out the window for this one!!
    We booked a trip to London from Cardiff a few weekends ago - it was last minute & we were looking to save money.     My girlfriend and I were thrilled when we first found MegaBus through the hotel. We needed to get from Toronto to Buffalo Airport and didn't want to rent a car so we checked out bus options.     Good point, I rode of the Megabus once before and found it fairly comfortable and very convenient. I intend to use two seats since I paid so much for the tickets!
    However, you need to be aware of the following:
    The situation is: you bought tickets for 2 passengers in one transaction. Not too uncommon...
    Here's the kicker: Even though you get two confirmation numbers Megabus cannot change one reservation without changing the other. So, if you buy two tickets.

    I booked the last Mega Bus for the day going back to NYC and the bus never showed up. When I called customer service, the rep. said a bus might be delayed. I waited and waited, a bus finally shows up almost an hour late only to tell us that he wasn't going back to NYC and that he didn't know anything. The customer service call center was closed by then and there was no rep at the bus terminal so Mega bus had no idea that we were stranded at the bus terminal until we called to complain. I thi ...

    They'd have to pay me money for me to take another ride on MegaBus. Overall, there's no such point of saving money by taking this bus. You will be treated like you owe the driver 15 bucks or more.Total nightmare. Worst bus service and the worst seats ever!!!! Overall Grade: F

    We had very bad experience in megabus... the bus was supposed to leave at 1.15am and it didn't turn up, no information from megabus, poor customer service, waited till 5am. Also, they have taken the money easily but to refund it will take 30 long days, this is ridiculous.
    They need to improve customer services. Amtrak returned the money immediately.

    The only good thing I can say about my recent (Friday) trip from DC to NYC is that the bus left relatively on time (only 10 mins late).

    But, i thought the bus itself was horrible. The seats are extremely close to each other (front to back). I would think that anyone over 5'6' could not fit their legs in front of them. I also think it's pretty pointless to advertise wifi when there is absolutely no room to put your laptop in front of you.

    I found nothing good about Megabus ! I was misled by the review here that the Megabus website is easy! I have given up I spent 10 15 to 1 pm today trying to book online. My dates which are within the 45 days it only drops down to 18th may '08! I emailed them to help me twice no no help. Nearly crying. Warning do not waste your time trying to book more than a few days it does not allow you to book up to 45 days before like it says! Mega bus website is a nightmare!!!!! Do no use it
