I tried to open a Barclays Euro account and after going through the process for 7 weeks they told me that it was not possible to open the account. The telephone service center was a mess and you would be left on hold for 30mins at a time and they never replied to emails. I needed a euro account to pay in rental income from property i have in Tuscany. Not sure who the account would be aimed at but i found it very unprofessional and a huge waste of my time which i did not expect from Barclays. Seemed like they had some stupid kids running this one.
