Good Points: What is there to like?!
Bad Points: Too many to list here but I'll add an overview.
General comments: Really bad customer service and they really do make you feel as if they are very superior. I hope all and sundry go in and withdraw all deposits.
Incredibly disappointing customer service. First of all, if its over the phone, if you want to get someone to talk to, it takes at least 10 minutes. By that time, you are too frustrated to even think straight. Problem is the people at the other end are also in the same frame of mind.- Very dishonest. I know cases where they have resorted to what would be daylight robbery.

I opened my HiSave account almost 6 months ago. I have transferred to and from the account with no problems.Only issue the on line system sometimes does go down...and staff appear to be unaware...and ask you to call back; as if they were speaking to their neighbor rather than a customer...

First of all I would certainly NOT recommend this bank to anyone. My experience with the bank has been the most frustrating! Here is my story:
March 5th: Decided to open an NRE and NRO account with ICICI, made some enquiries in their website and decided to start one. Received tons of phone calls from their sales reps about theirs services day after day. Finally decided to open an NRE and NRO.
March 18th: I sent all the docs to the Indian location.
April 3rd: Received a phone call from NRE servi ...

This bank has very complicated process to pay the Credit Card dues. If you do not have an Account with this bank, you are at the mercy of a faulty system.. Twice I made the payments but none was reflecting in the Card Account but I was asked to pay Late Payment Fee and arbitrary Interest by declaring me as a defaulter.
Their escalation matrix does not appear to work well enough. They do not seem to understand the issues I've raised. Finally either customer leaves them or forget the hope of getti ...

Seems I should have read these reviews before opening my account! They are the worst bank I have ever encountered. Made mistake in transferring from my easy access account to a 6 month fixed offering the same rate instead of the 12 month fixed for more interest that I requested. They can't answer specific questions by e mail and you cant get to speak to anyone in authority on the phone.I am closing this account at the first opportunity.

Over all services are good. But Recently ICICI charging yearly some amount for DEBIT card. Earlier I did not have this problem. And one more thing now they have increased Quarterly average balance for NRE / NRO accounts. They have created nice term "maintaining a healthy savings account balance" you have to maintain at least INR, 15,000. This really very bad.

Opened the account with no problems but then it all went down hill the £10 I opened the account with has gone "missing" Good job it was not the 50k that I was going to transfer in.
Should have known what to expect when I looked at the website, graphics not loading, very amateur feel to the site.

The initial account set up went smoothly unlike many others. However problems arise when requiring a response to a query. They 'held on' to £28k of mine for 14 days without an apology and then had the nerve to charge me £20 for returning it to my high street account. Subsequent email and phone calls got me exactly nowhere as I was being fobbed off with automated responses. Don't bother with the Banking Ombudsmen either I'm still waiting a response from them as well.

I cannot access my account or their secure e-mail so cannot get my money. They are not helping at all, even their complaints dept are useless, saying they will get back to me in 4 weeks when I urgently need my money. ICICI Bank are absolute rubbish, they give the impression that I will never get your money back. They do not care about their customers. I will never recommend them to anyone.

ICICI customer service sucks to the heights!
I am not talking about those poor people out there in the call center.. but the process put together by bank.. it takes too much effort just to change your address.. after 4 months of effort with several customer calls and physical mails to their office, address is still the old... They boldly says that they have not received the mail.. Process that they follow for receipt of mails and further are not known.

My account was opened in reasonable time.I received my login password through the post 3 days after activation.
Looked at statement which shows zero balance. Several thousand pounds currently missing!!! I emailed customer support 3 hours ago, no reply as yet. I'm currently feeling a little scared. Sure things will turn out ok!

I have been trying to add my wife's name to my ICICI account .After three attempts it has still not worked even though I have talked to the same guy three times. He knows me but all the stuff is handled in Mumbai and my account is in Baroda.
I requested a debit card and they instead blocked my internet access and claimed that I had requested a new ID and password!
They froze my DMAT because they claimed that I did not give them RBI clearance although I did give it to them.

I requested an on-line transfer on the 22nd of Dec 07 for funds to my nominated account making sure there was plenty of time for it to clear before my household bills were due out via direct debit.I made a note of the transfer reference number that the bank gave me as proof and expected to see the funds in my current account 4 working days later.Unfortunately this transfer did not happen.I rang ICICI bank to see where my money was.
