Just had a shocking experience at Office Buchanan Street Glasgow. Bought a pair of £70 boots a few days ago and obviously thought carefully about the purchase since Office have a disgraceful returns policy of 'refund or credit note only'. On getting the boots home and wearing them in the house it became apparent that there was a fold in the material at the back which was severely digging in to my tendon above my heel. I returned to Office with the shoes, box and receipt and asked to try on the larger size, explaining the problem. On my request the sales associate took the boots out the box and began THOROUGHLY inspecting them looking for any slight mark it seems. She then passed me on to her supervisor who said they would not be accepting the boots back as they were not in saleable condition?? I had LITERALLY worn them around my house for no more than 15 minutes. Anyway, I asked to speak to the manager who was an insolent, unintelligent woman who said something about the back of the heel being bent due to me wearing them.... obviously the leather will have moved when I was walking around the house. She spoke to me as if I was a stupid wee girl, said she wasn't accepting them and when I asked about customer services she pointed to a number on my receipt without even looking at me and walked away. I found this experience absolutely disgraceful. I work in an internationally renowned retail shop who accept items that come back with food stains on them because they care so much about the customer and customer service. Yet I am not permitted a mere CREDIT NOTE, never mind my money back. I find this abhorrent and would warn anyone thinking of purchasing shoes in Office not to bother. The quality of their shoes is no more than mediocre, their staff are stuck up and rude, returns policy unfathomable and customer service non-existent.

I bought a pair of leather 'Frank Sinatra' Brogue Shoes. I needed a comfortable, smart pair of shoes to wear whilst working over a ten day period. I purchased the shoes on 7th September, 09. Just last week I noticed my feet were getting very wet whilst walking in the rain, I also noticed the heels on the shoes were worn right down. I do not walk heavily and have never experienced this problem before. I rang customer services who gave me the impression that I would get an exchange on them. I took ...

The shoes I purchased from Office were called USTICA brown leather shoes with a leather sole, May I say how dissapointed I am with my purchase and poor customer service and returns policy this store offers. Very poor quality shoes and poor customer service. These guys need to sort it out or they will not be trading for long especially in this current climate. Look after your customers and they will come back, Simple. My advice stick to what you know stores like Next,Topman,River Island,Marks and ...

After reading reviews about returning faulty shoes to Office, I was very worried about the outcome when I had to make a return myself.
I bought a pair of Classic Baroque UGG boots from Office in the Trafford Centre December 21st last year, I had to take them back December 28th due to them having faulty lining. Unfortunately, they couldn't exchange them at the time as with the Christmas period, they had sold out of the style I purchased. However, the manager offered me a discount with the option ...

I received incorrect order. They insisted that I send incorrect goods back by recorded delivery and then they will decide if I am worthy of a refund. Do not provide prepaid packaging for returns.Box damaged on delivery.

None of the four Office stores around London that I rang could tell me if a boot I saw on the online ordering web site would be available in any actual stores! Not one manager in any one store seemed to know? I now have to do the job of the managers and ring head office to find out for my self! I feel this is bad service.
I will be letting all my shoe crazy friends know about this.

Just had a really bad experience in the Covent Garden Office shoe store. I bought a pair of high top trainers last week and after taking them home and trying them on in the house, they felt like the had some extra material inside that would rub against my feet - decided that I wanted a refund rather than an exchange and was told that it is not their company policy.

Not only did the sales person seem rude towards me, they made one of the girls in the store with the same size feet march up and d ...

Bought a pair of expensive boots, wore them for 10 minutes at home and they were so painful I took them back the next day. I was told they did not do refunds. I emailed them to suggest that maybe they could make this a bit more obvious in store (there was a sign saying they did not do refunds on sale items, which implied they did refunds on other items to me..). They sent a very rude email back. I then wrote a letter to head office and never received a reply.
I have since been trying to spend th ...

Well, my local OFFICE (Dundee) is great! Great staff that are helpful and know what they are talking about. However, they can sometimes bother you when you just really just want to have a wee look, but at least they care. Would recommend.

Wanted to return or exchange a pair of boots which in my opinion were faulty and only 1 day old. Told that they didn't have them in stock to exchange so asked for my money back which would have allowed me to buy the same pair at a different store. Told they couldn't do this - offered either a credit note or the possibility of them ordering them in. Going away so ordering was not helpful. Never come across a store SO unhelpful. Would not recommend to anyone.

I returned shoes to the Office Shoe Shop, they then have to return it to the mail order before refund is available. Now I cannot find out where my returned boots are and I have not received a refund.

Bought black leather pumps costing £35.99. Back of shoes collapsed after 15 days wear and leather surface peeled off where a decent leather would simply 'scuff'. This when the inside showed virtually no signs of having been worn.
    Local
Office shop told me 'fashion shoes are not meant to be worn day in day out' and referred me to head office. Their view was as Office shoes are made of the finest leathers, these are the most delicate and need careful looking after. Presumably that m ...

I wanted to buy a pair of shoes from the Office shop in Charing Cross. I knew about their annoying habit to MAKE you take the shoe box with you, so as I got to the till I told the sales assistant that I was already carrying a heavy rucksack, and I just wanted the shoes in a plastic bag. He told me that for 'security reasons' they HAD to give me the box. I replied that I did not want it, and what security reason could ever mean that you have to have the shoes in the box, as all the other shoes sh ...

I bought a pair of expensive leather boots with leather soles from Office. I wore them twice and the leather was worn out on the bottom. I took them back into 'OFFICE' at the Trafford Centre where I purchased them from to complain. They said they had to send them to head office for their opinion and refussed to give me my money back. So I contacted trading standards and they said they would go into the shop the next day to inspect the boots. But when trading standards went into the shop to see t ...
