Good Points: Includes eighteen well known tracks of alternative rock. A good compilation for car journeys.
Bad Points: No slightly more surprising track inclusions.
General comments: Absolution - Back in 1991 Polygram Records released the eighteen track alternative rock compilation album "Absolution." With digital engineering by Gary Moore, the album included some of the biggest names in the alternative rock genre. The album was released on CD, cassette and vinyl.
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. The Cure - Never Enough
2. The Mission - Deliverance
3. Killing Joke - Love Like Blood
4. The Wonder Stuff - Don't Let Me Down Gently
5. Echo & The Bunnymen - The Cutter
6. Siouxsie & The Banshees - Spellbound
7. Gene Loves Jezebel - Heartache
8. Bauhaus - Ziggy Stardust
9. The Jesus And Mary Chain - Stone Candy Talking
10. All About Eve - Martha's Harbour
11. The Stranglers - European Female
12. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
13. The Psychedelic Furs - Love My Way
14. The Creatures - Miss The Girl
15. The Damned - Eloise
16. The Ramones - Baby I Love You
17. Fields Of The Nephilim - Moonchild (First Seal)
18. New Model Army - No Rest
The compilation is exactly what it says on the tin. No more, no less. If you're into alternative rock and early goth stuff, then you'll probably already have most of these tracks. A nice compilation to have on in the car for a long journey.
The packaging is all pretty standard. The inlay includes a small photo of each group and where the track was taken from.
