    Good Points: Very flexible!

    Bad Points: Wish it could be cheaper (but what diet website is cheap?!)

    General comments: E diets is very flexible, it has lots of different diets to choose from on one website and you can change to another diet at any point, if you do not feel the diet is right for you. Also you can exclude things from your meal plans such as eggs, soya, shellfish etc. The website is easy to use once you get the hang of it and there is a chatroom (where meetings are held), forums to post on and the circle of friends section if you are looking for email/messenger friends for support.

    The diet plans they have available are:

    * atkins
    * gi diet,
    * tesco gi diet, (I am following this diet and have lost 7 pounds in 12 days so far, see my review in the glycemic index diet)
    * wheat free diet,
    * vegetarian diet
    * diabetes diet
    * low salt diet
    * low fat diet
    * dairy free diet
    * lower sugar diet
    * high fibre diet
    * heart smart diet
    * cholesterol lowering diet
    * ediets plan

    There is an option for a fitness plan and a recipe club. Both cost extra.

    The recipe club- I choose this option, it is a place where members can add there own recipes and look at other peoples too. There are loads of different recipes on there and it is very handy if you are doing a calorie based diet (as when you search for a meal they ask you to select a calorie range) but for diets such as atkins/gi I personally don't think you would end up using it as the recipes on their do not state whether it is suitable for atkins/gi.
    The fitness plan - I did not choose this option as I thought I would rather spend the money on swimming or going to the gym instead.

    In my experience, the options above are the only things you are asked to pay extra for ( that's if you want them).

    Anyway I hope this helps and good luck with whichever diet you choose!

    eDietsUK: There are several meal plans you can choose from, you could follow a different plan everyday if you so wanted.
    In the past when I have tried to follow a plan of some type it has always fallen down because I can never get the right balance of foods. With the plan it creates a well balanced meal plan for you that covers a week at a time, and there is a link that will turn the meal plan into a shopping list. Unfortunately there is no way of telling the plan that you have friends over so ...

    eDietsUK: £2.99 a week for a full diet profile, including recipies and shopping lists. Chose from Atkins, GI or a range of other diets, Choose to exclude certain foods, or include alcohol. Choose shopping lists based on your supermarket, the brands you usually buy and whether you prefer recipies or ready-meals. Tailor the programme to what you want to lose and how fast. The site is owned by Tesco, however it does produce shopping lists for other supermarkets, so it's not entirely tied.
