I wanted to follow up on an occasion 2 weeks ago I had needed to contact your company. I had a fault in one of your mixer showers, causing a constant drip on the overhand shower head. I contacted your staff by phone with the problem and was talked through my problem and description of the problem, had a fantastic experience from your customer service person and was told how it seemed to be a valve problem allowing the water mix system to flow when switched off. From the day of my enquiry to the time it was delivered the service was 2nd to none. Had immediate response to emails. Had phone calls from Makita and a call from the driver to state delivery time. I had moved into a house where there was a Matki New Classica straight corner shower uni fitted in 2008 and I was left the warranty as there was an issue with the sliding door fitting so I had emailed to inquire if this would be covered, Matki did advise the warranty was with the previous owner however they confirmed they would still replace the part and better still send an engineer to sort it out!! “What a difference today makes.”

We had a large Matki Eurozone shower door fitted last April. From the off it was a bit sticky, but adjustments as per the instruction leaflet usually sorted the problem. Recently the do it myself adjustments weren't cutting the mustard so I contacted Matki who gave some extra advice over the phone. Better, but not perfect. “Exploding Matki Glass”

Nice looking showers but be prepared for the glass panels to explode then be prepared for Matki representatives not to take the matter at all seriously (stalling, delaying and generally wasting our time). Have googled what happened and I'm not the only customer to experience this, our shower glass panel exploded violently across the room during the early hours of the morning. We were sorry to hear of the damage to your shower enclosure and that you have been dissatisfied with the way our Customer Services team have dealt with it.

We would like to reassure you that it is very rare for the glass panels of our enclosures to shatter. All the toughened glass we use conforms to EN12150-1 and is specifically designed and tested to minimise risk of personal injury if the glass does shatter for any reason.

These days nickel sulphide contamination is very carefully screened for and controlled by our glass suppliers and is unlikely to be the cause of glass breakage, which is generally due to factors such as poor installation, parts failure or receiving a strong impact.

I would be very grateful if you could contact me if you would like to take up our offer of replacement glass panels, have any questions, or would like further assurances as to the safety of our products. I will then ensure that the relevant department comes back to you as soon as possible.

Happened to me last night. Fortunately no one was in the shower and it had not been used that day. We were satin the lounge when at around 7.30pm there were two loud explosions. When openening the bathroom there was glass everywhere. Both the door and the small curved screen had gone.
My wife reported it to the company and the supplier today so awaiting their feedback. The shower was professionally installed 2 years ago. It has not been mistreated and has suffered no knocks.

I was visited 17/08/16 by the Matki Engineer, to carry out warranty repairs to my shower cubicle. I wish to state that the service rendered was superb and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. How old was your product? We had a Matki shower enclosure fitted in December 2008 and have a 10 year guarantee. Certain items have broken and on speaking to Matki they advised that they do not send out engineers but we would need to find our own fitter to make the repairs. We are now being asked to provide photographs of the offending items for them to ascertain the replacements needed.

Our excellent Matki shower recently developed a fault. The customer service could not have been better. The problem I reported was dealt with very efficiently and I was called back the same day with a date and time of a visit from a service engineer. The service engineer was very experienced, instantly identified what the problem was and carried all the parts necessary to carry out the repair. My telephone request for advice and help with a malfunctioning waste was dealt with exceptionally promptly and helpfully and the promise given to mail the necessary replacement part was fulfilled. Although I am out of the guarantee period this was sent free of charge. It was successfully fitted by my plumber the next day. I had a problem with my Makti Radiance Shower and event though I had the receipts I had not registered it. However I contacted the service department with the expectation that I would likely have to order a part and get my plumber to fit it. Instead they accepted the guarantee arranged for an engineer to come out and replace the part, all within a matter of days. The unit is now as good a new. I have a Matki alcove shower door and side screen that I fitted a long time ago. Have always been happy with the product but finally some parts began to wear out and I wanted to replace them. A couple of parts on my shower screen has started to erode. I luckily found the guarantee that I registered in 2009. I was a bit doubtful if I would be able to get anywhere when I phoned.

I purchased a Matki Shower Eauzone Plus Sliding door and side panel with a continental 40 shower tray from Bathroom Solutions, Bristol. I employed a local builder to install the shower unit. Unfortunately the builder didn't install the unit correctly to the instruction sheet which resulted in many leaks. We bought two of these corner showers. They look beautiful, or they would do if there were not manufacturing issues with the frame. Installation cost a fortune and eventually the company held up its hand to the defect. We are now experiencing communications breakdown between the technical and ops sections. An engineer has spent five hours trying to remedy the error on one shower. We are very sorry to hear of your bad experience with the Matki One Quintesse and I would also like to apologise for it taking longer than usual to respond to your review. We are not aware of any particular issues with the product nor what has made it hard for the installer in this case, but will of course be looking into it in detail now.

“Top quality service”

A couple of years ago, I purchased a Matki new radiance 1290 shower enclosure. Lately I have had a minor issue with the guide barrels for the bottom track becoming worn and the door "sinking" slightly as it closes. I emailed Matki regarding the issue, received an immediate response and within 24 HOURS of the email, an engineer had been to the house and carried out the repair. Having had two Radiance shower enclosures with matching shower trays fitted earlier in the year, I can confirm that choosing quality over budget restraints is not only the best move in the short term, if you need any advice or post installation support, this comes with the same level of excellence.
