“Disaster bedroom”

Having ordered my so called new dream bedroom and special treat from an excellent designer ,I then expected the same service to continue. I paid for the delivery exactly as asked and was duly given an installation date. The fitter proved to de an absolute disaster, no proper tools or equipment and no skills whatsoever. “Avoid at all cost”

It was such a waste of our time. We've been wasting our time waiting for them for 2 weekends. The designers didn't even bother turning up, and when they did, they were an hour late without ringing up. The 50% off sale was misleading too! The first designer supposed to come to an appointment on last Sat, but he rang up and told us he was 15mins late which was fine. Having seen the adverts and glossy brochures we decided to go to store and begin the process. Guy in store was pretty good, we had a couple of "good question, the surveyor will know" type answers but that's not the end of the world. Survey date and time booked - sweet. 30 minutes before the arranged time we get a phone call saying he couldn't make it, no reason given and the phone was put down... “Their service and customer service is terrible”

I wish, I have read their reviews before purchasing with sharp bedrooms. I have had a horrible experience with sharps and I must say their customer service is very poor. At first they represent themselfs very well with sending someone on suit and tie for your first home visit and then you think wawww - this company is great. Firstly I would like to say GET A CARPENTER! we have since found a local carpenter has made other fitted wardrobes for us in other rooms (since we used Sharp's) at half the price and a much better finish! “Disgusting Customer Service”

A few months ago, I had a sharps install a fitted sliding wardrobe drawers for £3,500. The finished item looked great, but the hanging space was smaller than other wardrobes I have. A standard hanger does not hang straight, and in fact smacks against the back wall. If clothing is hung on the hanger, it protrudes from the wall and smacks against the sliding door. “Poor Customer Sevice”

They made a mess of fitting one bedroom wardrobe. They act as tough they are doing you a favour in coming back to fix it calling it 'guarantee work' forgetting that it is a their mess that has caused the problem in the first place. We have been messed about over the delivery of the parts needed; at first they said they would be delivered to the fitter direct then they tried to get us to let them delver to a neighbour (probably because it suited their schedule). We went into the showroom in Darlington, the member of staff there was new, but was quite helpful, one this that I did notice though, was that there were no prices anywhere, just signs of all of the offers that they had on, 50% off sale must end Sunday! “Great product non existant completion and customer service”

We have just had a dressing room and study fitted neither of which has been finished love the product . I want them to finish things off it appears that this is not possible. Customer service is non existant they lie and we spend day after day waiting in for the fitter to return they write badly spelt with poor englis letters promising actions that never happen. “BEWARE! Sharps couldn't care less about its customers!”

Beware and stay clear of Sharps! They are quick to entice you in to buying their (overpriced, mediocre) product and relieving you of your money, but when it comes to there being a problem they don't want to know. A careless fitter badly damaged my new floor. The customer service is not existing. I had wardrobe fitted, door handles are still missing. Called cs many times and complained in writing. No response yet. My elastics in the room were damaged during the installation and brand new floor was damaged by the fitter. No one from Sharps responded to my numerous calls or email. This company is an absolute joke. I have never dealt with such an inefficient and unhelpful organisation as Sharps. We had to wait ages for an installation date. When fitter did arrive components were missing when the fitter unpacked what had been delivered. We had to change design to avoid even more delays waiting for a fitting date. “POOR QUALITY”

We purchased 3 bedrooms from Sharps in 2005 spending thousands in the process. Five year guarantee but just after this expired the hinges started to drop. They refused to help the situation stating the guarantee had expired. Cannot get a hold of the type of hinges and Sharps want to charge £14.99 + P&P for a pair!! The door needs 4 hinges in total. “Shocking lack of customer service and rubbish build...”

What could go wrong, did! Over promised, under delivered.... initial delivery date was missed, first installation was delayed a week, finish was so poor couldn't use half the wardrobes (lights didn't work, marks and cracks on side panels, draw not assembled). This company sounds great at the sales pitch but does not deliver in terms of quality or after sales service . As soon as my contract was signed i noticed diminished levels of service . The job was far too big for one man , that's what they do , and took twice as long as planned leading to massive disruption for me . Job was rushed and quality suffered as a result . “Lied to three times. Awful experience”

Designer didn't show, then the surveyor. Lost 2 days holiday waiting in for these people. Was promised I would be called back within the day to receive compensation. No call, and after over a week of chasing was told I would receive no such thing. Customer care manager was chewing while she was speaking to me! “The worst company I have ever dealt with”

My wife and I ordered several units for a bedroom and one unit for another. There were 20 problems in total, including design errors, incorrect deliveries, changed installation dates and late reimbursement of money. I even had to find and pay for an electrician to correct a design problem that they failed to identify, then they lied to me about when my money would be reimbursed.
