It all started so well, really good instore experience, sales person extremely helpful and we ordered a table and chairs, paying in full on ordering. I think a serious case of 'they have our money so no need to look after us further'! We ordered on the 24th April, being told that delivery would be the end of June / first week of July. Each time we spoke to Furniture Village subsequently was us chasing them for information. We completely understand that there are supply chain issues and delays with moving freight but all they had to do was make a phone call every now again with an update. Shocking service once they had our money, and you can only blame a cyber attack for so long, but they are full of flimsy excuses in general. Still waiting on a reply to a complaint email sent to the person that took our order, sent to them on the 28th July. If you want an element of customer service do not shop here. The only reason I've given 3 stars is the product (when it finally arrived) is decent quality, saved them from 1 star!

Ordered a divan set from furniture village and a simple quality check by the delivery guys would have shown up a slit in the base. The item was replaced after six weeks. The issue is really contacting them to get the exchange, you spend ages on the phone trying to talk to them, it took them a month to reply to their email address so you re left with no alternative to phone. I incurred a £13 phone bill for one phone call! That is not customer service.

Worse service i have ever known from a company.wouldn't ever ever go there again.would rather sit on orange boxes than use them again..

grande white high gloss table eight chairs when deliver one white chair was dirty and rust on chrome legs had that changed as this was a showroom one sent. then the one they replace had a hole in seat. still waiting for replacement. told end of june?

Service okay but then knew what I wanted as I'd researched it plenty, bought a three seater , two seater and a chair and foot stool last October, paid £3,000 and thought I was buying a quality suite made by Parker Knoll was told it was the top end as far as quality. Suite arrived and was happy with delivery but after two months the feet came lose and bent over denting my laminate flooring, contacted Furniture village after care who were very apologetic but little else, went to Parker Knoll direct and they were much the same but agreed to send out two new feet. Sofa description was castors for ease of movement but beware the feet will come lose and if on a wooden floor cause damage. Have been told to use coasters after damage was caused but should have been advised before I made the purchase.

My partner and I bought the above sofa set for our new home. We purchased from the store in Stockton, portrack lane, and to be fair they couldn't of been nicer and more helpful. Initially the sofa said 72 hours delivery but as it transpired this wasn't the case and because of demand it was now 4-5 weeks. We ordered anyway and 8 weeks later it arrived. They didn't keep us informed about the delay but we didn't panic and the sofa arrived. We are very happy with the quality and other than the delay we have no complaints.

ORDERED A LEATHER THREE PIECE SUITE BY TELEPHONE . THE STAFF WERE PLEASANT AND HELPFUL AND THE PRICE CHARGED WAS COMPETATIVE . DELIVERY WAS MADE BY A GLASGOW REMOVAL COMPANY WHO WERE A DISASTER . THE TWO MEN WHO MADE THE DELIVERY HAD PROBLEMS LIFTING THE FURNITURE AND DAMAGED AN EXTERNAL WALL AND SCRATCHED AN INTERNAL DOOR . PHONED FURNITURE VILLAGE AND WROTE TO THE REMOVERS BUT NOBODY WAS INTERESTED . FURNITURE VILLAGE SAID THEY HAD NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE REMOVERS BEFORE - AS IF THAT WAS RELEVANT . THE REMOVERS SAID THEY HAD AWARDS FOR THEIR STANDARD OF WORK AND THAT THE EXTERNAL WALL MUST HAVE BEEN FAULTY . NOT WORTH THE BOTHER TO PERSUE BUT WOULD NEVER USE FURNITURE VILLAGE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO A FRIEND .

Purchased Wardrobes, Delivery went well turned up on time, Sales Lady who sold the wardrobes was very good. On opening up the boxes, we found we had no fixtures and fittings or instructions for the wardrobe. Called the Customer Services, were told that the supplier was closed for another week after the Christmas Holidays, 2 Weeks later received Fixtures and Fittings. Had to pick them up from UPS, so a 40 Mile round trip. Got home, started to put the wardrobe together each door needed 3 hinges, we had 4 doors, only 9 hinges in the box. Went to the store, as we thought they could let us have three from their doors in the store. The First Sales Guy we saw told us that if we would have had them assemble the wardrobes this would not have happened?? That was great customer service, implying its the customers fault. Anyway, they would not allow us to have three from their in store wardrobes, they offered to pay for some if we could find them elsewhere, but we couldn't get the same ones, so another week later and we are waiting for 3 hinges.

bought londsale sofa & chair from nottingham store last year. delivered on time but wrong backing cushions. many phone calls to salesman (who was very slick and sold more than i wanted!)who is always plausible but took 3 months before he actually asked for fabric swatch so that cushions could be made, just makes me think he was fobbing me off every time before, though still waiting to hear when they'll be delivered. as for the actual sofra, well, after only 2 weeks cushions had softened so much that the fabric is moving around and puckering so having to swap cushions every week and turn over etc, in 4 years of my old dfs one (at less than half the price) i never had to do that so overall diappointed, though it does look great in my lounge, and the stain remover they put on works wonders, spilt juice from frozen red berries on sofa last night by accident and with a little rubbing it all came out, vell impressed with the that

We bought a purple sienna corner sofa last december (2009) with a delivery date of march. It arrived on time but when the sofa was unpacked it was evident that different grades of leather had been used in the manufacture and it had a patchwork look to it. They agreed to replace it which took another 14 weeks. Pleased with new sofa but miffed no compensation offered for aggravation.
What I did not realise was that the sofas are manufactured in China and shipped over here. Hence the delay (and lack of quality control). They dont order them until we purchase them in the stores. I think that they should make it clear where they are manufactured.

Bought two leather sofas from Furniture Village, Peterborough store. Sales person could not have been more helpful- We were in there for a long time . No pressure was put on us but advice was there if needed.
Delivery was on time as promissed - Not particularly friendly delivery men but they did their job - Unfortunately we noticed after they went that two of the feet sofas were scratched. I rang the customer service for a replacement and have rang many times since and we are still waiting 8 weeks after the delivery of the sofas. Eventually we got a proper response to say that it takes 12 weeks to get these parts so I am waiting for them to let me know shortly that they are in stock.... however I doubt it and I will probably have to ring again.
It is a real shame because their goods are value for money, the sales staff is good but the company is let down by their after sales service. We were going to go back later on in the year to buy a dining room furniture but that won't be the case! they have lost a sale!
