“Disappointed with dining set”

Ordered an extending dining table and chairs in early Nov 2015, delivery expected before Xmas. On the 17th Dec it arrived, on putting it together delivery man noticed the extending part of table was faulty!! As this is quite an expensive set was extremely disappointed as it was unlikely another one would be delivered in time for Xmas. “Severely Let Down”

We ordered a dining room set, sofas and a footstool + 6 weeks before Christmas. We were assured this allowed plenty of time for, manufacturing and a prompt delivery. What we got was something else. Lack of communication from Furniture Village as to delays. Luckily I had called the week run up to Christmas to check delivery was still scheduled. “Badly Made Furniture”

Bought a corner sofa from The Furniture Village in 2015. Only had the couch a few weeks and one of the springs went. We took the cover off to find that the springs were connected with a small *** PLASTIC *** Connector. It was this which broke. We could not believe that this most important part of the sofas structure was fastened with just plastic and a few staples. my husband and I bought a 2 piece reclining leather suit amongst other things from the furniture village 6 months ago - one of the things that attracted us to them was their 5 year guarantee as we'd never had recliners before - it now turns out it's not worth the paper it's written on. When the furniture was being delivered on 21/09/2015 they released the bolts were not included with chairs. So they took it back. Thus began our unique experience with a company that really doesn't care. Number of phone calls, emails, begging were made by me and partner but to date they have not called or contacted us once providing an update. “Quality of settee is awful”

Purchased a sofa from furniture village staines, sofa in the shop was fine when I received my sofa after 12 weeks the quality was terrible 3 seater settee with massive gap in the middle it was actually only good for 2 people called the contact centre very rude advisor had two different engineers out took two days of work for the visits the 2nd engineer managed to help me get a new settee I waited another 12 weeks for another settee and low and behold the replacement settee was exactly the same… Read Full Review

Ordered 3 piece suite in 2014 when it arrived it was the wrong colour specified. Had to wait another 14 weeks until March 2015 for the correct suite to arrive. Recently my wife phoned to complain about the cushions beginning to sag and after a visit from an upholster was told it was our weight that had caused the cushion to sag but that they would replace the foam in 1 cushion as a good will gesture. Bought 3 expensive electric recliner 3 seater leather sofas. Waited 12 weeks for delivery. Arrived on time but 2 were damaged, and one had a spider infestation with hundreds of little spiders crawling out over 3 days after delivery. Am still waiting to talk to anyone after 4 months of ringing and emailing. The manager is either on holiday, in a meeting, on a stocktake or just busy. We had a problem with our Corsetta reclining chair ie snapped cable. After calling customer services the part was sent direct to us. We then had a call from Furniture Village to ask if we had received the part and to make an appointment to have it fitted we were given an all day appointment but on the morning of the appointment the fitter called to give us a 2 hour slot. I ordered a single bed, after a month it arrived. Half of it was a double bed and half of it was a single bed. I was told I could wait for another 4 to 6 weeks or cancel my order. Nothing else was possible to rectify their mistake. What sort of customer service is that? I decided to wait. When the day for delivery came I was given a call 10 minutes before to say they were on their way, which was fine. “Re-placement table legs.”

We waited 6 weeks for our new table to be delivered, which we think is normal lead time. When we checked the legs 3 of them were faulty. I contacted customer services who dealt with the problem quickly. New legs were ordered . We had to wait 4 weeks for these. They were being sent to our local depot, and they were to contact us.
