“DON'T BUY FROM FURNITURE VILLAGE !!!!!!!”

We ordered a new wardrobe and waited 2 months for it to be delivered. Arranged delivery time was between 8 am -12pm. It didn't turn up till 7pm so wasted whole day as it that wasn't too bad one of the glass panels was cracked, the wardrobe is leaning forward and bowing out on the side. We now have to wait another 2 months for the replacement and obviously take another day off and wait for someone to come and finish the job. After ordering a sofa online with a 7 day lead time advertised, we are now 7 weeks down the line and have been told that Furniture Village no longer deal with the particular supplier. Throughout the last 7 weeks the customer service has been poor - staff are always polite and friendly when I call in, but no action is taken - promised follow up calls aren't made and responses are text book. “5 months since ordering and still not delivered”

We ordered a coffee table on 14.02.16 from the Bolton store. The order states 9 weeks delivery time. It is now 5 months and still no sign of coffee table!!! “Faulty product, trying to fob is off!!”

Ordered a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa from the shades range. Sofa's arrived but 3 seater is badly damaged. Arms have been visibly wrapped too tight, have now been unwrapped for 3 weeks and have also had a technician from Castelan use a heat gun on them for 30-45 minutes but they are still heavily marked. Leather is also baggy and warped across the front and rear of the sofa. I have spent thousands with FV over the years and have always been impressed with the quality. We furnished our retirement cottage (new beds, dining furniture, sofas, etc) in 2013. All looked good. We finally moved in in December 2015... We found the reclining sofas were faulty. One squeaked a lot and the other, after closer examination, had a bent frame. “Three months life for a settee!!!”

Ordered Apex suite in October for delivery before Xmas, one week before delivery were informed goods stuck in Port due to frozen sea! Finally delivered end January and now sagging cushions, wearing fabric and legs cutting into brand new carpet causing fraying. FV sent independent assessor who reported not due to manufacturing fault but wear and tear! £1600 for a suite that won't last four months doesn't seem acceptable to me but FV thinks it's more than adequate. Ordered a wardrobe from Furniture Village's online site and after waiting 5 weeks wardrobe arrived with the incorrect doors. The supplier could not have cared less they told me the problem was with Furniture Village and that I would have to deal with them. After chasing them on the phone a few times I was told the problem was caused by their website sending the wrong details to the supplier and that they would order me the correct replacement doors. We bought 2 beds and the mattresses in good faith assuming that it will be fit for its purpose( HAVE GOOD NIGHT SLEEP WITHOUT INTERRUPTION DUE TO THE CREAKING NOISE). Bought a 4 seater and 2 seater Devlin sofa in October. The material on the chair arms is so bad it looks like I've had it for years, the one I gave away before I bought this was in far better condition. Just had new sofas delivered from furniture village 3 days ago. Colour is lovely, seem well made but...... I feel like I'm sitting on a concrete floor! They are so hard. I bought a bed from them over 3 years ago, which turned out to be faulty. They sent an engineer who changed the topper which had absolutely nothing to do with the faulty bed! I am very disappointed with Furniture Village and their failure to deliver on their promise. We bought a £900 Sofa and waited 5 weeks for delivery only for all the Scatter cushions to be wrong. When we ordered our table and chairs, we was told the complete set will be with us by the 9th of February.
