“Great product, diabolical Customer Service ”

We bought 2 Shangri-la swivel/recliner chairs with matching footstools in April 2016. It took us until the end of October for Furniture Village to provide us with all 4 items in perfect condition at the same time, all fault free. The amount of to-ing and fro-ing, them losing/forgetting the exchanges beggared belief. “very poor quality with top prices”

After reading the f/b page on f/v. It is clear I am not the only customer with the problem of arms on sofas "caving in". This and obviously an ongoing fault that f/v are failing to recognize. Trying to use a main piece of furniture with wood sticking into you is totally unacceptable. My 2 and 3 seater sofa's are only 14 months old, are taken care of and in an adult only home,and still don't stand up to normal use. The assessor has stated this is normal settlement.!!! Really. Brought a marbel sideboard "mont blanc wide sideboard from furniture that coste me £799 plus delivery charges.. Having waited 10 weeks for it to arrive it came faulty. The top of the side board wasnt stabel and would move arround. When i called to complained about it was tod that they would replaced it. Bought a 3 piece expensive leather suite and all items were received faulty. Driver took pics and said it would be reported. I phoned the store straight away just in case and the next day with some more faults. Left it a few days and then phoned the aftercare team to find out it hadn't been reported and the pics were "lost". The store found them after 2 days when I requested a refund. We purchased our suite from Ipswich, at that time we were very happy with both the suite and the high level customer experience. After 17 weeks (the agreed delivery time) and after not hearing anything from Furniture Village, we telephoned store to obtain a delivery date - they did't know but said they would get back to us - they didn't. Furniture Village were amazing when following our purchase of kitchen chairs and table we found them at a cheaper price locally. They happily refunded the difference in price immediately with no questions whatsoever. Do not buy from these people We purchased two leather sofas from Furniture Village four years ago. The filling in the arms has now deteriorated so badly that the wooden frames can be felt through the leather and this hurts when you sit down near the arms. When we complained they sent their expert upholsterer (who would not speak to us) to investigate our complaint and then denied all responsibility by letter saying that the collapse of the filling was perfectly normal. I found the salesmen pleasant and not too pushy. I bought a bed from the shop floor and was told it would be delivered within 5 days. I called 10 days later to find out where it was. I was told my son phoned the following day and cancelled the order. Ordered a v spring mattress and paid for it . king size 2.00m x 1.50m as required and explained in detail. . I ordered table with chairs at New Molden store: 1. Credit approval takes 7 days, which in other shops you get instantly 2. I have been advised that product will be delivered in 7 weeks but after calling in 7 weeks time realised that they never placed an order to manufacturer!!! We ordered a new wardrobe and waited 2 months for it to be delivered. Arranged delivery time was between 8 am -12pm. It didn't turn up till 7pm so wasted whole day as it that wasn't too bad one of the glass panels was cracked, the wardrobe is leaning forward and bowing out on the side. We now have to wait another 2 months for the replacement and obviously take another day off and wait for someone to come and finish the job.
