    Appalling customer service. Took delivery of goods and defects pointed out in 2 items. Chased and chased for a response from FV. Nobody form Peterborough store returns calls!

    Eventually, engineer came out but brought wrong sized replacement shelf and glass for replacement door but no door. Now waited 2 further weeks. Due this Saturday but just received a phone call to say the shelf has arrived but the wrong door was sent. I have been told to wait til 28th Nov.

    Another Saturday wasted! Also rubbish at agreeing compensation. I started paying the finance back in Sept. Now paid £350 so that is what I expect back from them - they are trying to worm out of it now.

    Now had to resort to complaining to Finance company and will phone Consumer Direct tomorrow

    Bought a dining room table & chairs was very expensive but looked fantastic in the Furniture Village showroom. Delivery was late only had the table a couples a months it started to fall apart even though it had not been used that often. Repair man came out and banged a couple of nails into it which where left sticking out. Complained over and over again.     Furniture Village. ordered wardrobe, 6-8wk wait. ended up waiting another 3wks. delivered damaged but not pointed out at time of delivery and screws missing for handle. spoke to store, said they would send someone out to look at it but didnt. ended up saying that they would replace it - been given 4 delivery dates but still waiting for replacement. service is terrible, they dont seem too bothered once they have your ££. now want them to take it away and give £ back!!

    I have never written a review but I am so annoyed after dealing with Furniture Village, I felt I just had to warn people about their poor service and quality of goods. Bear with me, it's a long one...

    I bought an Amix suite 2 years ago from Furniture Village. The foam has softened considerably and the corner chaise is now very uncomfortable and dipped. It has only had light domestic use (i only weigh 10 stone). I complained to furniture village about the quality and asked for a replacement cushion. They told me that the sofa is only guaranteed for 5 years structurally and that I'd have to pay for a new cushion. A very disappointing service and quality.     Bought 2 two seater ASPEN sofas from Furniture Village in April 2007. said 13 weeks delivery but due to unforeseen circumstances had to ask the to give us a later delivery date. Then a few weeks before got a phone call saying the were in the warehouse and we had to have them delivered in the next few days.     Absolutely ridiculous customer service. After ordering our 3 piece Lonsdale suite on 29th Dec 08 (we were told 3-4 weeks for delivery) we decided to have delivery mid-end Feb as we were decorating. By mid Feb nobody from Furniture Village had rung so we chased the order - no-one comes back to you. Cut a long story short, we got a suite which was like ours 1st week in March minus 1 chair and with the wrong colour legs...... now 2nd April and still awaiting legs.....

    Rep came out to look at sofas last week , he said the material going saggy is normal and that the sofa beds are made so the end doesn't touch the floor. I told him the material on sofa we looked at in the shop looked nothing like the way ours do now and he said that is because they are only sat on for a few minutes at a time. These sofas are only two weeks old however I feel that they look well used already.

    I purchased an'Aspen' leather suite which was delivered in 10 weeks. Once we received the suite I realised that I had made an error in my purchase. I went back to the Chester store fearing the worse and that I would be stuck with my purchase.     I made a purchase via the online Furniture Village store. When the goods arrived they were marked and damaged. I agreed to take part of the furniture but to my suprise they too were damaged. I paid for my good on the 25/07/08 and I still have not received the replacement. After two letters of complaint, several phone calls and three days of work I cancelled altogether as it was totally unacceptable.     Ten days ago, we went into Furniture Village's Exeter showroom to have a look at their sofas. We really liked the Zante and decided to go for 2 two-seater sofas. Two salesmen in particular were each very helpful. But neither of them was hassling us to make a decision and gave us exactly the right amount of attention, without being over the top.     Furniture Village - Its taken over 10 months and we still haven't received the goods we paid for and it is looking like it will take another 3 months!

    I decided to use some money given to me on my wedding day to buy our first dining room table and chairs. We eventually found what we wanted and paid in January 2008.     We had been looking for months for comfortable leather based furniture. Walking into Furniture village we were impressed with the range and layout of the store. We purchased the 'Shalimar' 3 seater settee, 'snuggler' and a chair. The chair isn't common and had to be specially ordered which concerned me a lot.     My dining room suite from Furniture Village was delivered from the manufacturer in Ireland. Yes there was a mix up with the delivery date but this was dealt with efficiently by store staff.
    The delivery team were very careful, put everything together and positioned it where I wanted it.

    Very pleased with my purchase and the Manchester store service - Thanks.

    Having purchased £2000 of goods I expected at least good customer service.
    Delivery of first item was relayed to us on day of delivery, not day prior as arranged due to business commitments, giving us 30 minutes to reach house as we were not living there at the time which the store was aware of. Delivery man seemed rude and indifferent to us as we tried to reach mutual agreement, stating that his delivery slot was immoveable and basically tough!

    In September 2007, from Furniture Village, I bought a bedstead and matress, sofa chair and foot stool, table and chairs with seat pads (not faulty), TV hi fi stand, coffee table, lamp table and delivery totalling £5264.00. As my house had no furniture I collected the suite and matress myself in a van. The other items had to come from the manufacturer and would be with me in 11 weeks.     No one called me back whilst I was trying to chase my order. Very poor customer service. Still waiting for delivery of items ordered on 6th May (now 17th June) and no idea when they are likely to arrive.

    Would not buy from them again.

    Alexis red leather sofas deal - excellent quality, delivery service and non-pushiny sales personnell. The sofas are very stylish, comfortable. Protect from hot direct sunlight.
    Nothing but praise and a bargain deal. Would definitely shop there again -Lakeside, Thurrock branch. Heaps ahead of IKEA etc.

    I've got my bed from Furniture Village today, everything was fantastic! Very nice delivery guys, worked quickly. I'm happy with this store.
