“Settee just six months old”

After just six months White leather Paloma suite had marks on the back of both settees. Furniture Village didn't want to know and said it was dye transfer. We never had this problem with previous white leather suite, what are we supposed to do, sit naked on the settee? Very dissatisfied but also with the off hand way we were dealt with. “Do not buy insurance from them !!”

I bought a corner suite cash in 2011 and was asked if I'd like to take the insurers out of it I said yes but the insurance was not explained properly and not worth the paper it was printed onI have recently called as my corner suite starting to get a little tired I was then told that I was not covered in my insurance and that any scratches that I did not report straight away is not insured either this policy is not worth the paper it's printed on !! “More than happy with customer service”

My experience of FV customer service is very different from most of the reviews. Our oak (veneer) bedstead arrived and we were not happy with the colour. It did not have much grain and was more of a beech colour. Yesterday we took the foot end, which was easy to carry, into the Leeds store. “Jemima Recliners - not reclining is in the specification”

We bought 2 Jemima sofas with 4 manual reclining units in December 2013, which were delivered March 2014. The footrest comes up and the seat backs recline slightly, no problem. But when you want to recline further back, you have to keep pressure on with your back and feet to keep it reclined, otherwise it pushes you back up. Bought a Calgary table - £500 - and when delivered had to drill out the bolt holes to fit the legs. Never contacted them as it was too much hassle and had been waiting severn weeks already. “Faulty sofa, mis sold guardsman and bad after care...”

My sofa was faulty and after complaining they sent someone to repair it. The sofa cost £4000. The repair has now broken and they are refusing to repair it as I have had my sofa over 2years. The repair was completed less the 2 years but apparently the warranty is from when it is delivered not when they completed the repair! Asked for replacement on delivery leather was loose and it was collapsing in one corner.Got new one but 2 months later cushions and back cushions gone again,Half hearted repair job.Didn't do it all as you have to have suit for more than 3 months.I can only assume it is going to get worse after that comment. Good experience overall with sales staff very knowledgeable which helped me to choose my sofa. The delivery service excellent, was told by the salesman the delivery date would be around 26 December so to expect delivery in the new year, no problem that was fine. Then on the 5 December received a phone call my sofa was ready for dispatch. My sofa was delivered today the 10 December 2014. On 30 Aug 2014 we ordered Corner sofa, St. Moritz dressing table and an Elixir Str unit from the Bristol branch. Value £4748. Deposit paid £748. 19 Nov warehouse called to say that they would all be delivered on Saturday 22nd Nov. After 13 years we bought a new 3 piece suite from Furniture Village, by no means a cheap suite, delivered Mid January 2014 as 8 weeks. After 9 months it has already started to wear with pulled threads and had a Technician to examine the suite - faulty batch of material so the seat covers will be replaced but as the whole batch was faulty we feel they should replace everything but have been told No as its the "natural characteristic" of the upholstery to have "natural pile crushing". We paid £40 for them to deliver our sofas. The guys turned up had a look and decided that the sofas would not fit through the door. My husband offered to remove the front door so that they could get it in. The didn't measure anything just looked and decided even without the door it still wouldn't go through because of the radiator . We trusted their judgement and the sofas were returned to store. We are one frustrated customer of furniture village, we ordered our furniture on 5th July and it was promised to deliver with in 9 weeks. People in teh store promised that it will come much earlier that promised date of 9 weeks, still we are waiting for sofa and other goods....direct debit has started but furniture is not delivered. When I call them for an answer they say they will call back but they never do. I spend my life chasing them for a refund they have agreed to and this is only due to their mattresses having an issue. I ordered a bed making it abundantly clear that quick delivery was the main priority as I had just moved into an unfurnished house, therefore sleeping on the floor until the bed arrived. In may i moved into my new house and for which I needed a corner sofa bed. We found one at the Telford store. £1600.00. It was decorated with cushions and headrest. It fitted and we looked at it and it was fine so we got it delivered. Salesperson told us she woudl give us all the cushions etc for free and put the invoice through as us having paid for ther cushions and took the price of the sofa so we didn't pay more.
