Do not buy from these people We purchased two leather sofas from Furniture Village four years ago. The filling in the arms has now deteriorated so badly that the wooden frames can be felt through the leather and this hurts when you sit down near the arms. When we complained they sent their expert upholsterer (who would not speak to us) to investigate our complaint and then denied all responsibility by letter saying that the collapse of the filling was perfectly normal. I found the salesmen pleasant and not too pushy. I bought a bed from the shop floor and was told it would be delivered within 5 days. I called 10 days later to find out where it was. I was told my son phoned the following day and cancelled the order. When I pointed out the fact that I didn't have a son and the only other person in the world that knew I bought it was my girlfriend that lived in Holland, the sales man was a little lost for words. My Mum is 77yrs old & ordered a £1000 table in Jam 2016, with a six week delivery date!!!!!. Table finally arrived in May & it was faulty. After many many phone calls & promises of calls back that never came she visited the store to be told by a staff member that he would view the table, she waited for 2 days, no show! . Ordered a v spring mattress and paid for it . king size 2.00m x 1.50m as required and explained in detail. . I ordered table with chairs at New Molden store: 1. Credit approval takes 7 days, which in other shops you get instantly 2. I have been advised that product will be delivered in 7 weeks but after calling in 7 weeks time realised that they never placed an order to manufacturer!!! We ordered a new wardrobe and waited 2 months for it to be delivered. Arranged delivery time was between 8 am -12pm. It didn't turn up till 7pm so wasted whole day as it that wasn't too bad one of the glass panels was cracked, the wardrobe is leaning forward and bowing out on the side. We now have to wait another 2 months for the replacement and obviously take another day off and wait for someone to come and finish the job. “Faulty product, trying to fob is off!!”

Ordered a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa from the shades range. Sofa's arrived but 3 seater is badly damaged. Arms have been visibly wrapped too tight, have now been unwrapped for 3 weeks and have also had a technician from Castelan use a heat gun on them for 30-45 minutes but they are still heavily marked. Leather is also baggy and warped across the front and rear of the sofa. I have spent thousands with FV over the years and have always been impressed with the quality. We furnished our retirement cottage (new beds, dining furniture, sofas, etc) in 2013. All looked good. We finally moved in in December 2015... We found the reclining sofas were faulty. One squeaked a lot and the other, after closer examination, had a bent frame. “Three months life for a settee!!!”

Ordered Apex suite in October for delivery before Xmas, one week before delivery were informed goods stuck in Port due to frozen sea! Finally delivered end January and now sagging cushions, wearing fabric and legs cutting into brand new carpet causing fraying. FV sent independent assessor who reported not due to manufacturing fault but wear and tear! £1600 for a suite that won't last four months doesn't seem acceptable to me but FV thinks it's more than adequate. Ordered a wardrobe from Furniture Village's online site and after waiting 5 weeks wardrobe arrived with the incorrect doors. The supplier could not have cared less they told me the problem was with Furniture Village and that I would have to deal with them. After chasing them on the phone a few times I was told the problem was caused by their website sending the wrong details to the supplier and that they would order me the correct replacement doors. We bought 2 beds and the mattresses in good faith assuming that it will be fit for its purpose( HAVE GOOD NIGHT SLEEP WITHOUT INTERRUPTION DUE TO THE CREAKING NOISE).
