“Re-placement table legs.”

Written on: 11/07/2015 by Maureenpettengell (1 review written)

We waited 6 weeks for our new table to be delivered, which we think is normal lead time. When we checked the legs 3 of them were faulty. I contacted customer services who dealt with the problem quickly. New legs were ordered . We had to wait 4 weeks for these. They were being sent to our local depot, and they were to contact us. However I did have to chase them up. The new legs were eventually delivered and fitted . We are happy with the service that we have received. We have to thank… Read Full Review

When came, the smell e texture says totally different from leather. 2. The Delivery staff. Totally rude. They cannot came through the door, so he decided to take one arm of the sofa off. Still they cannot put the sofa in trought the house. 3. I decided to cancel. I was asked if I would like another sofas. I said ( NO I want my money back) They said on… Read Full Review

“Only order on-line to get their satisfaction guarantee”

Written on: 09/06/2015 by AlisonTownsend21 (1 review written)

Had Carolina sofa delivered and it wasn't comfy. Hard seats and not as in the shop. Whole sofa appeared to be not as ordered and the style had changed. Certainly sitting in the sofas in the shop is a waste of time as what you get is a hard seat. Went into the shop to see if I could change it. Was told that the 100% satisfaction guarantee only applies to on-line sales. As I ordered in the shop i face a 30% charge (some £700) to return it. Have returned it to their stock (as it was a stock… Read Full Review

“ Natuzzi recliner sofa .”

Written on: 04/06/2015 by Nonna25 (1 review written)

After 12 months of searching , we finally found the perfect sofas , Italian styling, sumptuous leather and reclines so smoothly it was like its on rails. The day it came it clunked when reclining and karate chopped you on the back of the head. Then the stitching began to unravel . These sofas were over £4000 and to say I was displeased is an understatement . I rang furniture village and was ready for an argument (knowing what some companies after care are like once they have your cash) but no… Read Full Review

“Terrible service don't bother buying here ”

Written on: 21/05/2015 by dlHouse262 (1 review written)

Don't expect to get what you actually see in the store or what you choose, we got something different and still trying to sort it out after months. Staff are incompetant and I'm being polite! They just don't care and its painful but when you have spent a lot of money on furniture for your house you have to sort it out. Such a shame as some of the furniture is nice but you are better to take your money and buy from anywhere else… Read Full Review

“Poor service”

Written on: 18/05/2015

Bad experience with the delivery of a sofa. They quoted 10 weeks, it's still not here after 13 weeks. Every time I ring to chase the order I get told "it's in Bristol, I'll get it shipped here within the week". They have been saying that for the past 4 weeks - not good enough… Read Full Review

“pellisimo faux leather sofas”

Written on: 09/04/2015 by cindersthomas (1 review written)

has anyone had any problems with the above sofas? we have and would urge all of you never ever buy this product, its rubbish, not robust and genuine as described, it cracks, splits and you cant put it in front of a window where daylight can enter the room, also the extra insurance they sell to you is not worth the paper its written on, please please don't waste your money on it, the sales staff have no idea what it covers, they tell you it covers absolutely everything, but we have found out… Read Full Review

Mr.tigger's Response to cindersthomas's Review

Written on: 19/06/2015

I agree with you one hundred per cent. I brought exactly the same sofa and reclining chair. I have had four faults of which the first two were corrected but the last two they do not want to no saying it's wear and tear or body oils etc. The customer service is none existent so we are going to take them to court. Go to the trading standards and they will advise you. Good luck.

thankyou for your response, we do seem to be getting somewhere with the store now, although progress is very slow, but we shall continue to converse with them as our first option, then we wont hesitate to take it further, so far they have refunded us in full the extra insurance they wrongly sold us, now we are haggling a compensation figure with them as the sofas are now discontinued so cannot be repaired or replaced. I wish you good luck on your quest.

i called customer services today to complain that the surface is falling apart.
was told the company that made the calgary have gone bust... i said not my problem - my guarantee is with you !!.

i have 3 options,
take a figure and recieve a credit note to use in store - less depreciation on number of months owned, they take sofa away.
take a figure less depreciation as a cheque, keep the sofa.
or get stuffed !!! in different words.
depending on the offer letter, i am going to try my credit card company section 75 as i paid a deposit using it.

I wish you the best of luck, the best we got from them which we did accept was the full insurance back of £195 and £300 for the faulty goods. They did accept that the sofas were made from faulty material, but as we had them for 3 years, they could only refund £300, their first offer was £150 which we refused, will never buy from the store again

Service okay but then knew what I wanted as I'd researched it plenty, bought a three seater , two seater and a chair and foot stool last October, paid £3,000 and thought I was buying a quality suite made by Parker Knoll was told it was the top end as far as quality. Suite arrived and was happy with delivery but after two months the feet came lose and bent over denting my laminate flooring, contacted Furniture village after care who were very apologetic but little else, went to Parker Knoll… Read Full Review

“After care service”

Written on: 02/04/2015 by Macchris (1 review written)

We bought three pieces of furniture off Furniture Village which included a coffee table . After a week we discovered that the veneer was coming away from the corners of the table . We phoned the Exeter store where we bought the table from and was told to send photos by email to them which we did. After about a week we had to phone to find out what was happening and were told they would replace the table. We then had a phone call from customer care who told us it would be about 4 weeks before a… Read Full Review

Furniture is lovely, we purchased a lovely 2 and 3 seater but 3 years in the seating cushions have gone flat and shapeless, not comfortable at all!!! I took the warranty out only to be told it does not cover FOAM cushions, I asked for someone to take a look but they said "it's not in the policy" !! I would never buy again due to lack of interest. I phoned the local store too, but no one interested. I won't be returning… Read Full Review

“Settee just six months old”

After just six months White leather Paloma suite had marks on the back of both settees. Furniture Village didn't want to know and said it was dye transfer. We never had this problem with previous white leather suite, what are we supposed to do, sit naked on the settee? Very dissatisfied but also with the off hand way we were dealt with.
