Good Points: The reconstruction of Aushwitz

Bad Points: Lack of recognition given to the homosexual victims of the Holocaust. The single cursory mention is almost like an afterthought- -very poor indeed. The curators need to check comparable museums in Berlin if they lack knowledge of this area.

General comments: Most compelling aspect of the museum is ironically that which is least directly related WW2-the Holocaust memorial. Here, the displays are very modern and immediately draw you in. The reconstruction of Aushwitz (a large scale model)sends a chill down your spine. Overall, a lively museum-well worth visiting.

There is lots to explore at London Imperial War Museum and many things to find out about. There is just so much information, its incredible and it's FREE! Here's a tip: go just after lunch! It's more quiet then and gives you plenty of time to see everything.
