Good Points: This mouse is my companion for FIVE years now, and not once did I ever think about changing it. It's a USB mouse so installing it is just a matter of plugging it in. No need to restart the computer (on most OS's) in order for the drivers to load. The buttons and the wheel work perfectly and the infrared optics are nice to look at in a dark room, while at the same time providing amazing responses on almost any type of surface (I used this mouse on a laptop, on my legs, on tables, on mats, on the floor, on the kitchen sink... it always does its job). I am now meditating on causing damage to it on purpose in order to replace it, but its sentimental value repeatedly prevents me from doing so.
Bad Points: None that I can possibly imagine.
General comments: I have owned three desktop computers, two laptops, several dozen keyboards, and a few screens but ONE mouse throughout the last five years. This is simply shocking when I take into consideration the fact that I used to change mice every few weeks before opting for the Microsoft Wireless Optical. The price isn't that much greater but I assure you that if I hadn't opted for it, then I would have paid a lot more in return for mice that would stop working in a few weeks, start going berserk and dancing 'au clair de la lune' on the screen, or simply drive me nuts trying to get them to work without interfering with the keyboard. In other words, this mouse is a miracle and I would buy it again blindfolded. 10 out of 10 for reliability, plus several billion for value for money. After five years, the mouse is still intact and wiping it with a wet cloth is good enough for this mouse to regain its snow white Carcass.

I had my Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse for almost 2 years now and it is still working perfectly fine. This mouse is very reliable.
However the wireless part of this mouse sucks big time. The distance between the mouse and the receiver cannot be more than 1ft and must be in-sight. That kinds of defeats the purpose of having a wireless mouse.
The battery life on it is very good, maybe weak RF uses less battery power?
It is well designed and fits easily into my hands. I do not have prob ...- Read alvinlwh's review (158 words)
