I was initially lured in with a good price last year for my 4 year old dog but the renewal has just come through and it's gone up from £15.99 a month to a ridiculous £21.99 a month, and no, I haven't made a claim!

That's nothing short of robbery - it's a 37.5% increase at a time when my husband only got a 1% payrise! They obviously haven't heard of the recession!

I called them and they said there was nothing they could do about the premium, so I politely told them exactly what they could do with it! They are not called "MORE THAN" for nothing, this is one company to avoid.

My cats are insured with more than they took on my 16 yr old cat and my kitten at the same time my older cat now has kidney failure they pay me no bother the only thing they wont pay for is thyroid problems as she had these when I signed up which is fair enough. My younger cat broke a tooth and they dont normally pay for dentals in any pet insurance but more than did as she would have ended up with a droopy lip which could have ended up with future health problems. If i get any more pets i wil ...

The only good thing about Morethan is the prices which to be fair are reasonable. And they are a lifetime cover. But i had a nightmare when trying to claim, they do not cover behavioural issues!? Which is silly as that is an illness, just as much as epilepsy/heart conditions etc. My staffy had terrible seperation anxiety & the vet recomended complimentary therapy, and also tablets to ease the stress, he used to self traumatise (chew his paws) and they said they would cover that as it was an inju ...

Well I have to saythat I have found MoreThan pet insurance to be very good. my young dog has OCD which needed numerous xrays, referral to a specialist and an operation. They paid out quickly, I found their customer services helpful and generally the process was very smooth indeed. No problems at all and I would recommend to others.

This review is based on my experiences of More Than in general.I originally had car insurance for a year which I had no end of problems getting the correct documents and policy price. Now to my mistake, I have Pet Insurance with them and just to reset my online account (not even that big a problem) I had been passed from person to person for about 10 minutes of NO HELP. Each time they told me I was talking to the wrong department even though they were the ones transferring my call! I just hung up ...

More Than Pet Insurance has an easy to use web site. Morethan state they cover complimentary medicine however they seen to make this very difficult to claim. An example is hydrotherapy . They will only pay out if this carried out at a vets surgery and there is no such service in this country. So technically its not covered. Bad point is you will have to read the small print very carefully and even that may not be enough so be careful.

We sent in a claim to More Than when my dog was diagnosed with glaucoma (nearly two weeks ago) at the age of 7 and they are not forthcoming with the claim. I have been told to cancel the appointment with the specialist if I am worried about finding the cash to pay, as More Than are said to be bogged down with claims. So my dog has to wait for an answer as to whether more than will pay out for definite. As I have paid out the amount of £474.00 in the last four weeks on my dog for her care ...

Used More Than for over 10 years never made a claim one. My monthly premiums went up each year till it got up to £20. Then my cat had to be pts. Not a pleasant experience as you can imagine. When he finally did become ill I thought no expense spared as I was insured. Out of hours surgery, x-ray and diagnosis and eventually euthanasia totalled £150. Payout by More Than? A big fat 'NOTHING'.Why? because although my cat had to be put to sleep, and I needed to cancel the policy, I still ...

I would recommend More Than Pet insurance as the customer service is excellent and they are very quick to settle claims. They had a complicated access policy which was expensive but this has been put right now.

Many people take out a More Than insurance policy because it has a good level of media coverage. Many people however, do not look into the small print of this company. Firstly, the main bone of contention is More Than's Pet insurance excesses. A young dog has an excess of 75.00 (or 15%, whichever is the greater). The excess in brackets is in teeny tiny print, and no body notices it until they make a claim and get the shock of their lives if it's a big one. Percentage excesses are bought in ...
