Good Points: Stylish, classy looks, excellent sound quality (with a strong signal)
Bad Points: Battery life is poor unless you change the supplied batteries for higher capacity ones. Battery life is better on FM by a factor of 30%.
General comments: The Philips DA1000 is an excellent little DAB radio, especially in a strong signal area, as is common with most of these small DAB radios. One problem is if the signal is fairly strong and you select the equaliser, the sound quality breaks up. To use the equaliser, which only works on DAB by the way, you need a very strong signal. With these factors in mind it is still a great little radio.
