I first bought dream matte mousse about a year ago and I fell in love. The colours were perfect, the application was very easy and it was nice to wear. It blended well into my skin and it was easy to put bronzer on top, it also acted like a concealer for the few spots I had missed. It was all going well and I honestly thought I had found one I could wear for years and years, until my skin became seriously oily on my t-zone. Its the best foundation I have ever had. I have really pale skin and this is the only foundation witch is light enough for my skin. I would completely recommend it and any one who says its rubbish must have REALLY high standeds I love it (read more)

I started using this mousse a while ago, and at first it seemed very good. The coverage is good and the texture is very light, and doesnt feel like your waring any. However I found out that it was making me break out, and had reactions because of my sensitive skin. As time goes on both me and a friend has found that when applying the foundation, it starts 'crumbling' which sounds odd for a mousse, but it would get all over my clothes and hair. Ive used this product for a few years. Its Matte, stays on longer than any other and looks flawless. I always had greasy skin up to my 30s when i started using Dream Matte Mouse. This stops any spots appearing as not at all greasy. People who have had the flaky skin after probably have dry skin to begin with or become dry from much use and not enough moisturising. I love this foundation, I use it every single day. It stay on when you sweat and everything. The only thing is sometimes my face gets really dry and when I put this on it makes my face look weird, like flaky. But if you put a little lotion on first and then put the foundation on it looks good and stays on without looking flaky. (read more)

iv spent a fair time trying to find my dream foundation but havnt yet succsded. I have to say that this foundation makes your skin look horrid it gives you flaky bits around your forehead and nose!! it makes your skin look dry, flaky and its a big dissapointment to me. A friend recommended this to me because I spend so much money on mac cover up makeup. matte mousse is affordable and last over 8 hours. I also put clinque powder over the maybelline matte mousse to enchance the beauty. The only problem is the products sells out fast at CVS and Walgreens. (read more)

The mousse did not look nice on my skin. It looked really blotchy and dry, particularly flaky around my forehead and nose. I don't normally have problems with my complexion but this made me look worse! I was actually embarrassed to be seen out looking like that so I went out after two days use and bought a different product. I have really good skin and I rarely get dry skin or spots but after I used this product for a while I started to notice my skin getting dry and flaky on my T-zone, I also started getting spots on my cheeks. However if I moisturise my face twice a day, and put a liquid foundation on as a base it does look good. it has good staying power and stays on during exercise and when it rains it stays quite well, it doesn't make my face shiny at all at its easy to put blusher/bronzer on top of without... I brought this product as i was informed that it was good.How wrong my friend was this has caused my skin to breakout and my skin has not looked so poor in a while.I have a had a lot of spots and blackheads from this product let alone it has made my t-zone very dry.I would not buy this product again and have no resorted into buying a better brand foundation to repair the damage this has left.Also the shades are poor as well and it does not last very long either. i love this foundation, the application is very nice and the tecsture is like whipped cream on your face. it blends very well and i would definatly recomend this to someone will very good skin, i say this because it someties vewry ocasionally ecaomes eaither caky or flaky the only bad point i would enforce is to set it with powder because i last 2-3 hours and if your looking for a long lasting foundation then you may want to rethink aout this purchase (: (read more)

I didn't like Dream Matte Mousse at all! It was good the first couple of days, but then slowly my skin started to become very very dry. I tried all sorts of solutions to stop my dry skin but nothing has worked so far. I brought the foundation about 3 months ago, and stopped using it about 1 month ago...but still my skin is very dry. The best I have ever used, brilliant price in fact I would pay more for it. Easy light coverage, lasts for over 14 hours and doesn't smear or wear off in the wind or rain. Lasts forever, such a nice feeling when you touch it like a thick slightly moist powder and so breathable on the skin, perfect for oily and dry skin because it soaks up the oils and moistens the dry areas I will definitely stay with this one I have been using it for months and it hasn't changed at all over time. I enjoyed using this product, it was easy to apply and easy to remove at night. There is a wide range of colours and I chose one a shade darker than my skintone, I put quite alot on my face and it didn't leave a thick line on my jaw. I really don't like this product! I have oily skin and made my pores look huge not to mention I looked like I put cake on my face! It broke me out and the smell is DISCUSTING! Its just not good if you have dry skin because it sticks to it and makes your skin look flakey. It also tends to make it itch.
Other than that one problem its a great foundation; its easy to put on, blends in well, and its not heavy!
I would most def recomend it for those that do not have dry skin!

this is a great product... i love it i have used it for just over a year now and it is still doing a great job at covering my spots (if you put enough on), it gives you a Matte look that really does last, it does come off quite easily, if you even just scratch your face it will take the foundation off, the other issue is it ISN'T waterproof. the other great this about this product is no matter how dark you go with the foundation (if you like the warm look to your skin) it doesn't go Orange.... i think dream matte mousse is okay but i might buy it again. i usually use liquid foundation which is rubbish, i wanted dream matte mousse for a while after seeing the tv advert the first time i put it on i didnt know wether i liked it or not i bought 021 nude and that is normally the right colour but it was too light made my skin look grey i would have liked to have know what colours work best for light/medium medium/dark and dark/very dark skintones before i purchased its not very good for... This product is okay at first, it gives good coverage for a little amount of money.
But in the long term, I would strongly advise not to buy this product.
Everyone I have spoken to who has used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse for a long amount of time (over 6 months) has had something to say about the horrible drying effect it's had on their skin over time.

I found this review very helpful because i'd been using dream matte mousse for about a month, i began to have very dry skin, the bridge of my nose was peeling as was below my nose and under my eyes. I thought this was because i had very sensitive skin but after reading this it became clear, i am going to stop using this product and buy a better foundation.

Okay so I love this foundation (Dream Matte Mousse) for a few reasons...
1. it lasts for ages even though the pot is quite small
2. it's really easy to apply, with fingers, brush, sponge, whatever
3. it's pretty cheap and available from a lot of places
4. it gives great coverage with only a small amount
5. it blends with skin really nicely and comes in lots of shades
BUT
1. the pot is heavy, not much of an issue though.

Out of all the value matte foundations ive tried, dream matte mousse definitely lives up to its claims...
I have oily/combination skin and can only use matte foundations as others are far to oily for my skin and just melt off my face after an hour and tend to go streaky and uneven.
I've found foundations that claim to stay matte all day, go oily after about an hour so when I first tried this I cudnt believe how well it worked! It smoothes onto the skin evenly and a little goes a long way....

Review about Dream Matte Mousse. I would only recommend this product for people who do not have dry skin. If you have dry skin - do not use this product! But if you have normal/oily skin, it is fantastic for giving that matte un-shiny look, and also lasts quite a while. This product doesnt clog pores, meaning it does NOT give you spots which is great as many foundations do... just as long as you wash it off properly your skin will be fine, and shouldn't break out in any way. Dream matte mousse foundation is a good foundation, it's light and gives a nice smooth feel to the face. It looks great.
However it brought me out with a tonne of spots, and i can't get rid of them, I think maybe i had a reaction to it or something.

This is my first time using mousse foundation. I know i shouldn't use it but it's really good, easy to apply, easy to take off. I really like the fact it gives yoi a nice even look and its quite natrual too! I don't like the fact that it runs out quite quikly, i barely use any and it was gone in about two weeks! i think Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is great, easy to aply, if you have dry skin it will make it more obvious, it gives average cover (i have acne ruined skin and normally use highcoverage but this gave ok coverage for me would use a concealer stick with it though) the only reason i have stopped using this as much as i useto is because in summer it would just come off my face in an hour as i have greasy skin, use it as my back up foundation in the winter though because it is easy to apply... I have dry skin so when I put this on it tended to stick to certain patches of my face. So if you get this you have to put on some mousteriser first. Also it didnt last as long as i wanted. Other than that I thought it had good coverage and it was light. It made my face feel really smooth aswell.
I would recommend Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse to anyone with oily skin.

the best for oily skin. use a sponge, either dab if not want much or dip if you want more. don't need concealer
the separate concealer can be used if you want more coverage
i'm 54 still with oily skin and this works well.

But honestly i love this product i find it easy quick to apply but ther only thing i would say is that you do not get very much for your money. i love Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse! Its a great cover up and very easy and smooth to apply. Its so smooth its great. It lasts only about 6 hours though which is one down side. I thought it would only last a couple of weeks but its has lasted me around 6 weeks and i was really happy with the way it made my face looked, this is my opinion and i think you should try it out for yourself. This Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is my all time favourite!
I'm very pale skinned with lots of freckles so its really hard to find a foundation that doesn't attempt to cover my frecks but gives the coverage needed without tide marks.

Adverts feature model with flawless skin covering up blemishes and wearing in bright daylight creating the illusion of all-day wear. Unfortunately Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse does not cover blemishes unless layered on. Is quite fiddly to get used to but does feel lovely on the skin. I found my acne prone skin needed the mousse to be applied frequently throughout the day and clogged my pores quite badly, it highlighted areas of bad pores and grease. I think this is a fabulous foundation for the money. I've been using Clinique for years but felt that I should try to economise. I'd never tried a mousse foundation before so that it was worth experimenting with. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse has a lovely texture with really good coverage. I LOVE this Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation, really adore it. I have only just bought it and already i am in love! i went through a really bad phase of using heavy foundation too dark for my skin, and this is a pleasant change. it is natural looking whilst still providing good coverage.
i will say it's better to use concealer underneath though, like with most foundations.

i think that maybe "matte" foundation is not the best for your skin type.. the reason you didn't like this is probably because you have dry skin, and this is meant for oily/combination skin. IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, but otherwise it has a light feel to it, and blends great! if you have combination skin, i suggest using this over another liquid foundation just on the "T Zone" to create a more smooth finish, and less shiny on parts that you're worried about. It's very light and will last long! i also found using a flathead makeup brush for blending, it gives a much creamier, more blended look.
