    Good Points: Information provided is applicable to all ages, the feeding of Giraffe's and elephants is a nice touch and extremely popular. The shows aren't really that suitable yet for my children (both under 3) but I can see as they get older they'll love the closer contact - this is true of the discovery centre too where they have stick insects, giant snails etc.. that can be seen up close and even handled if wanted - all under very patient supervision. The trains are lovely and a good break for tired little legs and we found the staff very willing to talk and answer questions


    Bad Points: The food isn't great and the choice cannot be described as particularly healthy but easy to take your own picnic and there are plenty of picnic sites. But actually it is pretty much what you'd expect to find at this kind of attraction.


    General comments: Lovely day out at an excellent zoo. They are obviously bringing Colchester Zoo bang upto date with very few of the old enclosures remaining and those being replaced steadily. They are now very much focusing on conservation and education in a beautifully set out zoo that has lots of areas to take shelter in. We have now bought the annual gold ticket as we were so impressed.

    Colchester Zoo Is A Fantastic Zoo, With Great Deals. The Animals Are Great!!! Must Go! Good Price, Good Animals, Good Food, Good Price Deals.
