Good Points: Music you can't get at your local HMV.

Bad Points: Not enough 60s stuff for me. Ok it's mainstream, but other than the greatest hits it's really hard to find. Also I often find it hard to get back on the site after a download.

General comments: I've only been with this site for a week, and so far I've downloaded three symphonies by Hubert Parry (try finding him at your local shopping centre) and the latest album by Lesbians on Ecstacy (try finding them at your local shopping centre) plus Nancy Sinatra's best hits. Ok, I have weird tastes, but it's like a site explicitly made for people like me. Can't wait to downland Electralane and some Bach Cantatas.

Found a charge on my bank statement for emusic.com Have never been to the site and don't even own an mp3 player as far as I am aware. There is not a way I can find to talk to them. When I called the number, the only choices were to unsubscribe on the website, by email or by phone. When choosing the by phone option, a recorded message told me to email the last 8 digits of the credit card. A google search shows that this is not unique to me. I do not recommend eMusic.com

My daughter did not find much by way of selection. Then she didn't realize that this was an automatic charge on the credit card so we got billed for a month with zero downloads as far as I am concerned. Then we canceled the membership but since it was on the day of renewal of the billing cycle they charged us anyway. So bottom line we paid for two months for no service. Their customer service doesn't see it that way and refuse any kind of a refund as far as I am aware therefore I do not recommen ...

What a brilliant site! I know all you britney/timberlake fans won`t like this site but hey, you don`t like music either! loads of good hard to find music that you can download legally is brilliant in my book, and at about 20 pence a track it makes you realise just how much of a rip off i tunes etc really are in my opinion.

eMusic didn't have good selection to choose in my opinion, I was very disappointed for the $ that I spent. I'd like to speak to someone when I call and as far as I am aware can't due to the fact I canceled, however as far as I am concerned I am still getting charged on my account and I want it refunded! I do not recommend emusic.com.

I like finding music that I've not seen in other places and also older music that I've wanted to find again after many years. Also rebuilding my collection. Like the ease of use. I wasn't sure at first because I hadn't heard of some of the artists, but I've been surprised at the good music I've found. Well recommend eMusic.

Excellent and quick customer service, easy to use. Very easy to use, and I have to say excellent and very quick customer service. Not quite the range I was hoping for - good for looking up new bands, but there are even some independent bands I'd expect to see missing. eMusic Definitely recommended if you have an open mind.

This is a fantastic site for fans of music supplied by INDEPENDENT labels. For the hard of reading, that means NO artists from major labels. You will NOT find Oasis, Brittany Spears, Destinys Child, Iron Maiden, Metallica or anything like that on EMusic. For £9 per month, you get 30 DRM-free MP3 downloads. There are other plans where you can increase your monthly download allowance if you're prepared to part with a little more cash.Great value by my book. I've been using the site for around ...

Emusic and especially the audiobooks took twenty bucks of mine, provided no "product" whatsoever and never replied to emails. Avoid at all costs the Audiobooks service at Emusic. In general the quality of the organization seems low, perhaps overly stressed. In general, there seems no reason -- with so many services online -- to use this one,

eMusic is a long haul value - meaning that if you get it, you'll subscribe for a long term and appreciate the depth of independent artists that are offered over time. You cannot possible appreciate the site or service in 20 minutes so don't go to the boards and act all harsh if you don't see major label (RIAA) artists in your first 20 minutes... The short-coming to all this in my opinion is that eMusic doesn't have the same brand identity as itunes - as far as I am aware some folks think that e ...

I don't know why anyone thinks this kind of subscription service is a good idea. I also tried their audio books and found the selection there to be pretty weak as well, and at best at a nominal savings.

eMusic is an excellent site for fans of real music. No, it's not full of mainstream pop, that's the whole idea. It's meant for people who like good music at very good value. I've discovered a huge amount of music that I would never have come across normally. It also has some hard to find stuff. If your favourite band in the world is Oasis or you think cutting edge is The Killers then forget about it!

The site has made me move to downloads instead of cd's and gives me what I have been yearning for a long time, having ownership of legally downloaded music files so I can do with them what I wish. The site is very attractive, easy to use and fairly priced.

I bought one of those cards at Radio Shack, and it was cheap, so I bought it. I go to the site, no popular music, I spent 20 hours finding and downloading maybe 15 songs!!! It's mostly tribute bands and concert recordings, the concert recordings being the best stuff. I like some old music, and I was able to find Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Marley O.K. However, the selection and discovery system can't stand up to real music sites. It's all about the user, but I woudln't use it.

I joined because of the cheap songs during a trial period and expected things would get better. After a year of waiting, I'm outta here. Unfortunately I didn't get out soon enough. Don't be like me. ITunes or Napster for example are muuuuuch more bang for your buck.
