Its took me several phone calls/ emails/letters to get my no claims cert sent out correctly as there was a mistake on there behalf on it. Still waiting and my new ins co have advised me if i dont recieve soon i will be charged. I do not recommend all staff promise to send it out an i dont recieve it. Took a while for me to get set-up having sat on the phone in the dealership then not getting through and about an hour of trying to get through online and on the phone at home I finally managed to get through to a very helpful person who set me up within ten minutes. Their "free 5 day driveaway insurance" does not seem to exist. They keep you on hold and just pass you round every 6 minutes or so to someone who advises you to do it on line as they are experiencing a high number of calls apparently. Well the online service for this does not work either, after filling all your details in it kicks you out at the end when you accept the cover. Because it's free no one wants to deal with you. I rang them today to arrange a temporary cover for my new Vauxhall - I am picking it up tomorrow from a dealer. They held me for over 10 minutes on their premium line, playing music (whilst I am being charged 45p per minute by my mobile operator). Staff were always courteous but seemed to lack knowledge and getting through to them wasn't easy. The most annoying thing though was when I cancelled mid term because I bought a BMW I was charged over £100 cancelation fee. I expected to pay some sort of admin fee but that is just ridiculous. I should also have shopped around because they weren't cheap. When I changed to BMW insurance for a much more valuable car my premiums went down!… Read Full Review

Firstly Vauxhall Insurance is non existent. It is a contract with Ageas Insurance Services/ UKAIS you enter into. The keystones of their offering to consumers are that this is the best you can have tailored to your Vauxhall.." We built it who better to protect it". They boldly state that any repairs will be conducted by VX trained technicians at a VX approved repairer. I bought a corsa with 1 year free insurance. They sent me the insurance documents via email and on their it said I have had an accident which was my fault and under description it said 'driver hit third party' which is a LIE. I called my previous insurance provider (co op young driver) to confirm if it was my fault they said it was not my fault and it is a no fault claim and the description should be multiple car collision. I wish I did so please read before making a decision on your car insurence. In Sept 2012 I purchased a Corsa and was given a free one week car insurance cover by vauxhall car insurance. I was then offered at what seemed a competitive price a one year cover. I paid in full thinking thats it for a year. Unfortunately, thats where the nightmare begins. I have used Vauxhall Insurance for many years. I needed to claim having had my car crashed into by a third party whilst my car was parked. Literature and their website clearly state that they only ever use Vauxhall-approved bodyshops and genuine Vauxhall parts. This is not the case. My vehicle was repaired at a garage that was not a Vauxhall- approved body shop. given the vauxhall 7 days free insurance to book my own free ins,was on the phone for 25 mins, with no answer but silly records playing and a voice saying lines are busy, then it went off, due to all my £10 credit being used, this is a joke of a service. I recently had a collision with a dear which caused substantial damamge to my car. Initally Vauxhall insurance were helpful , but that didnt last long. They failed to inform me that after inspection was car was deemed to be a write off , this I learned by a salvage company that informed me that I had to clear out my car that day ! . I was with Swift cover then bought a new car. As part of the deal Vauxhall throw in 7 days free insurance. Following my 7 days Swift quote me an extortionate amount to change the vehicle on my policy and Vauxhall offer a quotation to switch to them for a full year that was most attractive considering all the extra benefits they offered.

Free one year fully comp Vauxhall insurance when you buy a new Corsa.
Sounds good eh? BUYER BEWARE. Read the small print when you eventually receive the insurance documentation.
Claims for theft and damege are void if you do not have an approved alarm/immobiliser fitted.
Claims for theft and damage are void if your car is not locked in your garage between 10.00 and 06.00.
Check the compulsory excesses too - twice what I paid before.

Having had an accident, I telephoned Vauxhall car insurance to find that I was ringing out of office hours and was asked to call back when they opened. Eventually got through and got vehicle removed it then took a further 6 weeks to get a response from them becasue apprently they had lost all my details. I had free car insurance from Vauxhall when I bought my new Corsa. When shopping around at the end of this, their renewal qoute was about £300 lower than the lowest I found elsewhere (which was More Than). They gave me a great no-claims discount which I protected. When I had to make a claim, they were quick and courteous - all done over the phone, with no forms to fill and time wasted in the post. Vauxhall Car Insurance quoted me a reasonable price for my Tigra and other companys were well over £200 more. My husband also drives a Vauxhall and he recommended them to me to try and see if they were cheaper which they were.
