Good Points: Fantastic natural colour No streaks Fades well
Bad Points: You cannot go out until it has developed and it's been showered off.
General comments: Fake Bake is the BEST fake tan ever. The result is natural (no orange at all) and it does not streak. You must, however, prepare properly.
PREP:
Any hair removal needs to be done at least 24 hours beforehand.
Exfoliate - I usually scrub once the day before I tan and then once on the day I tan. Come out of the shower - don't use body lotion but you must spray feet, elbows, knees, hands and wrist area with the Skin Smoothie Oil.
Application - Always use gloves - this does stains palms and it doesn't come off. Smooth tan onto body. I usually start at the bottom and work my way up. Rub over legs (using excess for feet and knees - bend knees whilst applying) and continue over the body, doing face last. Do not be alarmed - you will look like you've been rolling in mud and it will not look even. As long as all bits are covered once it's showered off you'll be bronzed and no streaks. After I've covered all of my body/face (boyfriend does my back) take off the gloves and mix some mositurser with tan on a cotton wool pad and do the back of hands.
Then (it's not a quick process), spray some Skin Smoothie Oil onto a cotton wool pad and wipe over sides of feet, heels, toes, etc and inside of underarms to blend in and fade for a more natural look.
The tan take a while to dry, I usually wander around in my knickers for at least 30 minutes before getting into loose (old - it does stain but this will wash out) PJ's. Sleep in it over night and in the morning you will look more brown and muddy than before. Fear not - once you've showered off the guide colour you'll be left with the most natual (fake) tan going. It's lasts approx a week and fades naturally (no flaky patchy bits). Exfoliate every 3 days and moisturise daily.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but this stuff makes me itch like crazy. I don't break out into a rash, but by the end of the second day of having this on, my whole body itches like I rolled in a patch of poison ivy. I'm going away on vacation this week and wanted to put some on before I left, since my skin is very, very fair and my hair is almost black. The color indoors is okay, but once you get outside, WOAH are you orange. It may just be because I have fair skin but I've heard of many oth ...

Complete waste of money. I bought the lotion from ebay for around £15, thinking it was going to be money well spent. Not at all, you put the fake tan on, and it a dark colour guide, which feels sticky on your skin. Do not use on your face, shows all your pores, when I applied it, it made my eyes water. I exfoliated in the shower and followed the instructions, applied it after my shower and then went to bed. I woke up and went to wash the colour guide off. No colour was left! No tan. Just ...

I used the sunbed quite a lot and decided it had to stop so I used every single fake tan on the market. I found that St Tropez was good but very pricey and can streak but the colour results were good. So then I tried fake bake, was fairly easy to apply and not as messy as St Tropez but when I woke up the next morning and lightly showerd it off I was like a pale well yellow. I think its is poor.! sorry guys to sound so arrogant but I am unhappy I thought it was going to be top but what a let down ...

I am very pale and the colour that comes out is very good and brown not orange! The best self tanner I have used, people think I use sunbeds not fake tan. Takes a while to apply and dry also needs 2 applications for a nice tanned look

Goes on really well and leaves a colour guide so you don't miss any, great colour when washed off, doesn't smell. Fabulous fake tan that is well worth the money, the best I have ever used. A bit time consuming but worth it.

Absolutely, love this tan, worth every penny. Easy to apply, even if you cant be bothered to rub it in properly, it washed off in the morning to leave a perfectly even tan.

I applied my fake bake a few hours before going to bed and then slept in it, I wasn't as thrilled as everyone else seems to be? It didn't seem to give much colour at all, it didn't come off on my bed sheets either, so maybe I am not putting enough on? I will have to try another coat tonight I guess, which is a bit annoying as it is a long process (showering, exfoliating, misting, applying etc)... let's hope all the prep is worth it this time!

The colour turns out well in a few days but not the morning after showering.
Maybe I am not applying it right!
It's streak free and natural looking.

Fab product, put it on the night before you need it, shower it off in the morning and you are left with a streak free tan, idiot proof. I love this product. I have tried all different ones and ended up with orange feet and hands, streaks, patches, but not with this one. It does all the hard work for you and you can always re-touch the next day! Just a brilliant product, chemical free and it works, what else can you ask for?

Whilst very easy to apply and fairly quick drying, and the colour looks natural, I'd have to say I found it messy to use and the guide colour did rub off all over my sheets and clothing. the smell wasn't all that great but I guess all fake tans whiff a bit...
Not bad, but I'd probably try others too.

I love Fake Bake Self Tan Cream as I am very pale skinned I have found that most tans go too dark. Fake bake goes a really natural colour and doesn't go streaky or orange. I have also used St Tropez a lot but find that within 2 days as it fades it goes patchy, looking like it is wearing off. A lot of people I have spoken to about it say the same. This is not the case for fake bake as it fades like a natural tan and lasts about a week if you apply moisturiser. Would really really recommend it to ...

Fake Bake self tan cream is the worst sunless tanner I've ever tried. The worst thing is my skin had a terrible reaction to it, and I don't have very sensitive skin. I'm still trying to get rid of all the bumps on my body, and there was barely any color! You're better off driving to a drug store and buying a 10 dollar bottle of sunless tanner. 99% of them work better than this!

I wouldn't recommend this to newbies as its so pigmented it's scary to put on - you look so dark! But you shower it off in the morning. Also don't use it if you have expensive bed clothing as it can take several hot washes to get it off your sheets :(. However if you are used to fake tans then go for it as the colour is great and its easy to quickly build up a good colour. But do exfoliate as its easy to have dark patches on dry bits.

I was a St Tropez worshiper before I became a poor student, I have very fair skin that doesn't tan easily and when I do it just makes me look like normal people do in winter!
Then my friend who is as luminous white as me recommended fake bake, I shopped around online, read all the reviews etc and found the three pack for a very reasonable price.
I was a little scared at first as it's been about two years since I used a real fake tan, not this moisturizer stuff, but still couldn't be bothered ...

I used Kake Bake Self tan Cream before I went on vacation and had no time to work on my tan. so I needed something that would get me really dark fast. I have used EVERY brand of self tanner. I heard about Fake Bake online, and I figured I'd give it a shot. So I bought the whole kit, the oil, lotion and exfoliator. When I first put it on, the color guide (which everyone thinks is the actual tanner) was SO dark. I could never leave the house with it on, so I highly suggest putting this tanner on ...

As someone who never tans - just burns (due to my fair skin, I have used a lot of various fake tans over the years (having resorted to the highest SPF factor I can find).
I was browsing the internet one day and came across a site for Fake Bake. It sounded worth a try, so I went to my trusty hair and beauty site (www.salonlines.co.uk) and they had it, as always at a great price and with next day delivery. (Please see my previous posts on Salonlines - They have every hair and beauty product yo ...

Fake Bake Self Tan Cream, on the whole, is a good tanning lotion, but it didn't really work for me. I was happy with the results the first time I used it, but then after using it a couple more times, I noticed that eczema had developed on the fronts of my arm. I could also see small slightly rough patches of skin forming in sporadic places; mainly on my arms and back, but I carried on using it thinking that they would go. However, the more I used it, the worse they got, until they were bigger in ...
