I have vitiligo and have used just about every self tanner available over the years. Fake bake goes on without streaks and blends in perfect with fair skin. For vitiligo use it and then use a q tip to frenkle any pigment color differences . You will be amazed how it blends. Sometimes i forget i have vitiligo. No orange finally. (read more)

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SELF TAN LOTION I HAVE USED. I HAVE TRIED NEUTROGENA AND LOREAL. IT ALWAYS TAKES A FEW CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF APPLICATION TO ACHEIVE A LIGHT TAN. I COULD NEVER GET A MDEIUM TAN FROM IT AND THE COLOR LOOKED ARTIFICLE. ONE APPLICATION OF FAKE BAKE AND I HAD A NICE COLORED TAN IMMEDIATELY.IT WAS EASY TO APPLY AND DID NOT DARKEN MORE IN COLOR OVER MY KNEES.I HAVE ONLY USED THIS PRODUCT ON MY LEGS. THIS STUFF IS REALLY GOOD. FOR BEST RESULTS DON'T SHOWER FOR 24 HOURS... (read more)

Like many of us, I used to be an obsessive Sunbed user (especially during summer), but for a few years now I’ve started to notice the effects on my skin – And not wanting to look like an old leather couch when I got older I started to look for an alternative. After reading about FakeBake in my doctors waiting room (before getting yet another lecture about the hazards of Sunbeds) I thought I’d give it a go. I exfoliated for 2 days as per the instructions and decided I'd sleep in it.... (read more)

Like many people, I was an avid Sunbed user (although only through summer) for about 15 years, and as I was beginning to notice the effects on my skin, felt it time I tried another alternative. After browsing the web, I found the good reviews for Fake Bake, and so thought I'd give it a go. Anyway, received quickly, I exfoliated for two days in a row and after reading the instructions, decided I'd put it on at night and sleep in it. It went on dark, but I rubbed it in well with circular... (read more)

I gave it 4 stars because its worthy of 4 stars, obviously!!! I didn't say I got nothing, I said I had a slight colour but purely because I didn't put enough on, therefore my fault and NOT the fault of the product!!!
Its worthy of 4 stars, it will just take practice on my part, if you don't like my review, go read another..........

easy enough to spray on, however there is no mention on the can that you have to wash it off the next day! went a bit patchy and dark as I sprayed it so started to panic! left it to dry and waited. Then an hour or so later noticed that I was starting to smell like my pet rabbit....made me paranoid that night....not nice smelling like a pet shop! Anyway I thought I've got to give it a chance, and after about 4 hrs the smell died down...phew!!

Fake Bake-Very good product. I myself am very fair skinned so going to the tanner or laying out on the beach does nothing but turn me from white to red to white. That surely isnt good for anyone's skin. The first night I put it on I didnt rub it in nearly enough so it was a waste of time. The second night I put it on I rubbed it in alot better so there was color in the morning but i went to light on how much i used. Last night I used a good amount and rubbed it in the small circles turning... (read more)

I love to be tanned, dark tan. I was honestly not impressed with fake bake origional lotion at all.
Firstly, the application was difficult, it streaked around alot making it difficult and also the colour guide when applied made you look far to dark so most people don't put enough of the stuff on, it's really scary.
Secondly, the colour was rubbish, wasn't orange, but I didn't notice any difference in my colour whatsoever. It just went a yellowy- mustard tint. On my face it just looked mucky...

LOVE this product. I have used several self tanning products and I choose Fake Bake over every self tanning lotion that I have used. I am very pleased with the color. I love the color that I get from this product but I have to use it three to four times a week to keep my tan. If it lasted longer I'd give it five starts across the board! Fake Bake recall from boots, for not meeting quality standards. Fake bake brought me out in spots... and made my skin itch... also the smell though it is quite pleasant is very strong, and not very discrete. I applied the tanning solution to my skin a few days ago, and after a few hours of developing, my skin started to develop little spots and it became very itchy. I had to scrub my skin just to get the soolution off my skin and to get rid of the smell. the spots and the itching lasted for... (read more)

I'm not sure if my bottle has gone off or something - the Fake Bake lotion smells like wet dogs, and that's before I've even put it on my skin! It's very messy, it's tinted so you know where to put it which is good, but the colour is very dark and looks like mud, way too dark for my skin. When I showered the next morning, there was hardly any colour left - which is good because the colour guide made my skin look dirty and I'm not sure what I would have done if I'd been stuck with that muddy... APPLICATION:
Was really thick and very dark. The thinner you spread it, the lighter your tan. I put a medium amount, and blended it in really well until all the streaky bits had disappeared. It came with gloves which were bearable to use. (Don't use it without gloves!)

It sure beats running back & forth to tanning salons & paying high prices monthly for tanning beds. You just tan at home at your convenience. I have totally stopped using salons. I hated wasted my time waiting for appointments / the cost/ the miserable heat & sweat etc. You really only need to apply FakeBake once a week. You can apply it sparingly. It saves you money & time compared to salons. You can apply 2-3 times a week...but only if you desire. I LOVE IT. (read more)

As an avid tanner I am on the mission to find the perfect fake tan, that doesn't make you look like you've sat in a tin of bake beans for a week!
Purchased from: Ebay for around £11

Fake Bake is the BEST fake tan ever. The result is natural (no orange at all) and it does not streak. You must, however, prepare properly.
PREP:
Any hair removal needs to be done at least 24 hours beforehand.
Exfoliate - I usually scrub once the day before I tan and then once on the day I tan. Come out of the shower - don't use body lotion but you must spray feet, elbows, knees, hands and wrist area with the Skin Smoothie Oil.
Application - Always use gloves - this does stains palms...

I love Fake Bake Self Tan Cream as I am very pale skinned I have found that most tans go too dark. Fake bake goes a really natural colour and doesn't go streaky or orange. I have also used St Tropez a lot but find that within 2 days as it fades it goes patchy, looking like it is wearing off. A lot of people I have spoken to about it say the same. I wouldn't recommend this to newbies as its so pigmented it's scary to put on - you look so dark! But you shower it off in the morning. Also don't use it if you have expensive bed clothing as it can take several hot washes to get it off your sheets :(. However if you are used to fake tans then go for it as the colour is great and its easy to quickly build up a good colour. But do exfoliate as its easy to have dark patches on dry bits. (read more)

Fake Bake Self Tan Cream, on the whole, is a good tanning lotion, but it didn't really work for me. I was happy with the results the first time I used it, but then after using it a couple more times, I noticed that eczema had developed on the fronts of my arm.
