The Fake Bake Lotion.....is terrible!...It leaves you blotchie no matter how much you rub in circler motion. And I exfoliate very well before hand...in fact several days before applying. Now on the other hand the spray is fantastic! I rave to all my friends, they think I have been to a tanning bed. Now I have to wait for the spray to come in the mail. I might try the lotion after I have used the spray and am on the way to a great tan. As for the lotion alone, I will NOT recommend it to any… Read Full Review

I have vitiligo and have used just about every self tanner available over the years. Fake bake goes on without streaks and blends in perfect with fair skin. For vitiligo use it and then use a q tip to frenkle any pigment color differences . You will be amazed how it blends. Sometimes i forget i have vitiligo. No orange finally… Read Full Review

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SELF TAN LOTION I HAVE USED. I HAVE TRIED NEUTROGENA AND LOREAL. IT ALWAYS TAKES A FEW CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF APPLICATION TO ACHEIVE A LIGHT TAN. I COULD NEVER GET A MDEIUM TAN FROM IT AND THE COLOR LOOKED ARTIFICLE. ONE APPLICATION OF FAKE BAKE AND I HAD A NICE COLORED TAN IMMEDIATELY.IT WAS EASY TO APPLY AND DID NOT DARKEN MORE IN COLOR OVER MY KNEES.I HAVE ONLY USED THIS PRODUCT ON MY LEGS. THIS STUFF IS REALLY GOOD. FOR BEST RESULTS DON'T SHOWER FOR 24 HOURS OTHERWISE… Read Full Review

Like many of us, I used to be an obsessive Sunbed user (especially during summer), but for a few years now I’ve started to notice the effects on my skin – And not wanting to look like an old leather couch when I got older I started to look for an alternative. After reading about FakeBake in my doctors waiting room (before getting yet another lecture about the hazards of Sunbeds) I thought I’d give it a go. I exfoliated for 2 days as per the instructions and decided I'd sleep in it… Read Full Review

Like many people, I was an avid Sunbed user (although only through summer) for about 15 years, and as I was beginning to notice the effects on my skin, felt it time I tried another alternative. After browsing the web, I found the good reviews for Fake Bake, and so thought I'd give it a go. Anyway, received quickly, I exfoliated for two days in a row and after reading the instructions, decided I'd put it on at night and sleep in it. It went on dark, but I rubbed it in well with circular motions… Read Full Review

easy enough to spray on, however there is no mention on the can that you have to wash it off the next day! went a bit patchy and dark as I sprayed it so started to panic! left it to dry and waited. Then an hour or so later noticed that I was starting to smell like my pet rabbit....made me paranoid that night....not nice smelling like a pet shop! Anyway I thought I've got to give it a chance, and after about 4 hrs the smell died down...phew!!
Woke up next morning and jumped in shower....quite a… Read Full Review

Fake Bake-Very good product. I myself am very fair skinned so going to the tanner or laying out on the beach does nothing but turn me from white to red to white. That surely isnt good for anyone's skin. The first night I put it on I didnt rub it in nearly enough so it was a waste of time. The second night I put it on I rubbed it in alot better so there was color in the morning but i went to light on how much i used. Last night I used a good amount and rubbed it in the small circles turning into… Read Full Review

I love to be tanned, dark tan. I was honestly not impressed with fake bake origional lotion at all.
Firstly, the application was difficult, it streaked around alot making it difficult and also the colour guide when applied made you look far to dark so most people don't put enough of the stuff on, it's really scary.
Secondly, the colour was rubbish, wasn't orange, but I didn't notice any difference in my colour whatsoever. It just went a yellowy- mustard tint. On my face it just looked mucky… Read Full Review

LOVE this product. I have used several self tanning products and I choose Fake Bake over every self tanning lotion that I have used. I am very pleased with the color. I have very fair skin and love that it does not look orange on me. I do not like the smell, although I have not found a self tanner that does not have a hint of smell… Read Full Review

I love the color that I get from this product but I have to use it three to four times a week to keep my tan. If it lasted longer I'd give it five starts across the board! Love the color on the first day (after I wash the color guide off) but after that it's downhill. And it really does not smell very good...as most self-tanners don't!… Read Full Review

Fake Bake Recall - I was talking yesterday about how id been giving Vita Liberata Rich silken chocolate from boots after taking bake my Fake Bake tan after the product had a recall and how they brought me out in itchy spots.
Well I tried Vita Liberata's Rich tanning product and i have to say OH MY WORD, it is AMAZING, i put it on last night with a tan mitt, and it was so easy, had a real nice guide colour, very nice on the skin moisturizing and tried in a few minutes. It has absolutely no… Read Full Review

Fake Bake recall from boots, for not meeting quality standards. Fake bake brought me out in spots... and made my skin itch... also the smell though it is quite pleasant is very strong, and not very discrete. I applied the tanning solution to my skin a few days ago, and after a few hours of developing, my skin started to develop little spots and it became very itchy. I had to scrub my skin just to get the soolution off my skin and to get rid of the smell. the spots and the itching lasted for a… Read Full Review

Fake Bake is a fab self tanning product and I've used a few. I'd stick to the original self tanning lotion - and I buy from www.beauty21.co.uk for just £19.99 - the best price around that I can find.

Great product overall - easy to apply, and isnt sticky like the cheaper gradual tanners...give it 10 mins and it hardly feels like its on at all!! I tend to use it overnight as I dont particularaly like the smell - its not strong, but im not partial to it!!! So, I put it on after exfoliating, before going to bed, and when I get out the shower in the morning, Im nice and tanned - about the same colour as if I had been sunbathing for a couple of days! Love the product and will be buying more -… Read Full Review

I'm not sure if my bottle has gone off or something - the Fake Bake lotion smells like wet dogs, and that's before I've even put it on my skin! It's very messy, it's tinted so you know where to put it which is good, but the colour is very dark and looks like mud, way too dark for my skin. When I showered the next morning, there was hardly any colour left - which is good because the colour guide made my skin look dirty and I'm not sure what I would have done if I'd been stuck with that muddy… Read Full Review

Well as much as i liked fake bake i found after my initial shower in the morning, most would come off and id be left with streaks (especially on my legs) but its not just the potential streaking that puts me off...its the smell, it really is an awful smell that seems to stay with you, although i love the colour i prefer xen tan and st tropez… Read Full Review

I've tried loads of self tans, and most of the colours have been fine... So i didn't really wanna try Fake Bake for colour reasons... It was more to find a long lasting, SMELL FREE tan!
Was really thick and very dark. The thinner you spread it, the lighter your tan. I put a medium amount, and blended it in really well until all the streaky bits had disappeared. It came with gloves which were bearable to use. (Don't use it without gloves!)
Make sure u put moisturiser on dry areas… Read Full Review
