Good Points: Can handle 1080i signals through the VGA port. Crystal clear picture even by today's standards Sound is deep and engulfing
Bad Points: Looks a tad dated by recent design. Seperate AV box takes room (but only means a singal routed cable up the wall to the screen!
General comments: Have had this telly now for 6years and it is still going strong.
Was the best unit at the time (spent weeks comparing) and now that I can output 1080i from the vga port it is as good if not better than most HD TV's I have seen.

It had the best picture in the shop at the time we bought it and is still going strong after 4 years including moving house and being in storage for 4 months. We used to have surround sound but scrapped it when we bought this TV as it throws its sounds around so well, you hear sounds from behind you in the same way!

The Hitachi 42PD3000 is impressive from the moment it is out of the box. Being deemed cutting edge and having awards under it's belt, it's a style machine with ease and function to match.
