“3day diet does not work”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Saraa91 on 22/05/2016

Perhaps this diet is aimed at morbidly obese people only but it certainly didn't live up to its claims with me. I'm 5'5 and was 12 stone 10 when I started so I'm approx 2 stone overweight. My bmi weight for height is 10'10. In 2 days I lost 2lb.this is despite working out for 30mins each day as well!.I'm on day 3 and contemplating whether it is worth my time suffering today because short of losing an impossible 8lb in a day, I'm not likely to see much benefit. .I stuck to the diet besides substituting tuna with cottage cheese, a necessity for me since I cannot eat fish of any kind. went to bed hungry and did everything asked and haven't come close to losing 6lb let alone 10lb. If you retain water this may work for you. But if, like me, you clearly don't and you have only a few stone to shift it clearly doesn't work the wonders that it claims. This should not be marketed as a quick fix diet. It is not only unhealthy it just doesn't work. I had a feeling it was too good to be true but being desperate and all I fell for it.I suspect this diet only works if you're absolutely huge and used to taking in thousands of cals a day. Gutted.

“Don't do it”

written by AntwanMcAllister on 10/04/2016

I did the three day military diet ..I'm on the last day..thank goodness..I'm writing this with out knowing the weight loss ..I would not recommend this to anyone ..the calories are way to low..the first day is under 1000 calories, the second day is 1200-1300 calories, the third day back to less than 1000. You'll be starving... I saved ice cream for a night snack..you can only drink coffee on the first day....some of the food is questionable , hotdogs and vanilla ice cream.. no need to exercise.... ya I wouldn't recommend it

“WAIST OF TIME”

written by Castilloag439 on 13/06/2014

I did not drop a single pound on this stupid diet. My mom and I both followed it perfectly with no substitutions and neither of us lost any weight. I am extremely disappointed with this diet because I thought I actually found a diet that would be quick and easy. It's extremely frustrating how everyone else is seeing results but me. This is ridiculous.

This really is a strange diet plan. You follow a strict menu for 3 days and the result should be 10 pounds lost. I found that, yes this did result in weight loss but the loss was fluid rather than fat so the weight came straight back on. If you repeat this diet then it is possible to lose more wight but remember to alternate back to a normal eating diet. The plan must be followed exactly to have the right effect.

“3 Day Diet - I need to lose about half a stone before...”

written by Gagnor Regis on 14/07/2005

3 Day Diet - I need to lose about half a stone before I go on holiday in about 4 weeks and so I've been researching ways to do this effectively. I came across this diet plan and all I can say is it looks like the worst kind of ridiculous fad diet.

Apparently, by starving yourself on their special menu you can lose up to 10lbs in 3 days...yeah right. You can lose up to 10lbs of water weight, feel tired, grumpy and ill for 3 days and then put the weight back on straight away after coming off the diet because you haven't actually lost any body mass....

Does anybody really think it's actually possible to lose a whole dress size in 3 days just by eating next to nothing?

I hate these diets. They are dangerous and unhealthy and the promote yo-yo dieting and false hope when the only way to really lose weight is to do it slowly and by eating healthily and exercising.

I think Weight Watchers is a-calling me now....

The three day diet is only supposed to be used by people who are obese, in hospital or about to go in, for heart surgery. This is so they can lose weight rapidly so they are fit to go into surgery, and that is the only reason this diet should be used.

I have done it in the past and supposedly you can lose about 7lbs a week - a little bit too much to lose, and makes you put in on even quicker than you lost it in the first place, as soon as you come off it.

Not a healthy diet for anyone to stay on constantly, try eating healthly, exercising and the weight will come off.

Have to be honest and say I do not know a lot about this diet but if you can lose 1 stone in 4 days then wow sounds great but I would urge caution. Maybe okay to lose weight if you are going in for an op but long term seems excessive?

I disagree with this review because...I have been on this diet myself, and it is working, no feeling hungry, no mood swings. I have not put any weight back on after eating normally for 4 days, then back on it for 3 days. In 3 weeks I have lost 11lbs!

I actually do Weight Watchers and was curious to see what the points were for the days of this diet. They range from 23-28 points . The minimum points on WW is 18-23 points a day. I actually tweaked the menu a little by adding a bit more things to get up to my points and I still lost weight. So the fact they call it a "fad" diet and unhealthy isn't exactly true. All the foods (minus the dogs) are really good for you and it helped me get in my fruits and veggies for the day.

My grandad went on this diet before heart surgery, it is promoted by the British Heart Foundation. I'll admit, i was tempted and i tried it for 3 days and lost 10lbs. I didn't put weight on afterwards because i then went on to a healthy eating diet/excercise regime and it was used for a kick start really, a bit of a boost motivates me to exercise and gives me will power to stick to a good diet.

I think until you try it for yourself, you can't have a biased opinion because all our bodies react differently to others, for me it was good, for others you may gain more after you stop. Don't criticise something you haven't tried. Experience is they key.

This diet keeps getting called a "fad diet" and "ridiculous" and "water weight loss only" by many people. The people that say this don't really understand much about how their bodies work.

I have done this diet and am close to reaching my weight loss goals. The diet basically limits you to 1000 calories a day for three days. 1000 calories is the lowest amount a woman can eat per day without screwing up her metabolism. The foods are healthy foods that we should all be eating anyway...lean meats and fruits and vegetables high in fiber and anti-oxidants.

The cheese, ice cream and peanut butter are there for fat intake which our bodies do require. Cheese, ice cream and cottage cheese also provide calcium...and the peanut butter is also protein. The dinner portions are also pretty large of the vegetables. Breakfast on the third day is also pretty big.

There are certain spices and herbs you can add to the foods and if you take the time to cook with these the meals are actually really delicious.

Some versions have you eating an apple with dinner on the first day (which also includes a cup of vanilla ice cream). My favorite way to eat this part of the meal is to slice the apple up, sprinkle a packet of equal and some cinnamon on the apple and bake it at 375 for 20 minutes. Then when it's hot out of the oven, to scoop my 1 cup of vanilla ice cream on top. This is the most amazing dessert and makes me feel like I'm not on a diet at all.
