I stuck to the 3 day diet for the three days and I lost 4 pounds...I'm ok with it but it did build my expectations to losing more ...

“3day diet does not work”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Saraa91 on 22/05/2016

Perhaps this diet is aimed at morbidly obese people only but it certainly didn't live up to its claims with me. I'm 5'5 and was 12 stone 10 when I started so I'm approx 2 stone overweight. My bmi weight for height is 10'10. In 2 days I lost 2lb.this is despite working out for 30mins each day as well!.I'm on day 3 and contemplating whether it is worth my time suffering today because short of losing an impossible 8lb in a day, I'm not likely to see much benefit. .I stuck to the diet besides substituting tuna with cottage cheese, a necessity for me since I cannot eat fish of any kind. went to bed hungry and did everything asked and haven't come close to losing 6lb let alone 10lb. If you retain water this may work for you. But if, like me, you clearly don't and you have only a few stone to shift it clearly doesn't work the wonders that it claims. This should not be marketed as a quick fix diet. It is not only unhealthy it just doesn't work. I had a feeling it was too good to be true but being desperate and all I fell for it.I suspect this diet only works if you're absolutely huge and used to taking in thousands of cals a day. Gutted.

“Tips for flavoring coffee”

★★★★★

written by LoganvilleHoney on 17/05/2016

I've only been on the diet for one day and the scale went down 3 pounds. Water weight or not, I don't care. But my reason for this review was to put a tip out there for those, like me, who HAVE to have their coffee but can't stand it black. A previous poster wrote you can only have coffee on the first day, but from what I've read, you can have a cup every day. Now, I like mine with cream and sugar, but since you can't have it that way, I used 1/4 cup of my ice cream to flavor it. Not quite as good as cream and sugar, but a pretty good substitute. The diet says you can eat any of the daily required items at any time of the day, so I figured, why not? You may have to heat it in the microwave after the ice cream goes in, depending on how much you use and how hot you like your coffee. I have to credit my mom with this idea, which she got from my grandmother. Enjoy!!

“Don't do it”

★☆☆☆☆

written by AntwanMcAllister on 10/04/2016

I did the three day military diet ..I'm on the last day..thank goodness..I'm writing this with out knowing the weight loss ..I would not recommend this to anyone ..the calories are way to low..the first day is under 1000 calories, the second day is 1200-1300 calories, the third day back to less than 1000. You'll be starving... I saved ice cream for a night snack..you can only drink coffee on the first day....some of the food is questionable , hotdogs and vanilla ice cream.. no need to exercise.... ya I wouldn't recommend it

“Absolutely love the Military Diet”

★★★★★

written by Haleyz172 on 08/10/2015

I had read about the Military Diet in our town newspaper. Was a little uneasy, but I told myself if I wanted to stop hearing about how much weight I was gaining from friends and family, then I had to do something about it. Looked it up and the small amount of food listed was almost "scary". I was so used to eating whatever I wanted, when I wanted. I stated the day after Labor Day and followed everything to a T; Substituting Cottage Cheese and Grapefruit. The 4 days off I measured everything and used small plates. At the end of the 1st week I had weighed in 10 pounds lighter. I was ecstatic. I didn't want to stop. Went another week- Lost 2 more pounds. 3rd week was hard- didn't loose any. but (4th week)- at the end of the month I totaled a loss of 15 pounds. I am in love with this diet. I am continuing to follow the diet and use an app to count my calorie and water intake. I have recommended it to a few of my friends and family and they can truly see my results.

“So Far So Good”

★★★★★

written by DCMStout on 24/06/2015

Ok so I can't completely judge this just yet as to losing weight. However, I can gladly say that this diet right here is GREATLY helping me with discipline when it comes to eating. Normally I eat what I want and when I want, I normally don't drink alot of water so I constantly think I am hungry even though my body just wants water. On my first day I was ok through out the day and then feeling as if I was starving come dinner time but I flushed that feeling away by drinking a 24 oz bottle of water. After dinner later on in the evening I yet again felt super hungry so by then I was like "Ok, you know what, it is 9pm. I think I am going to call it a night and just go to bed. That way my body can shut up." It takes discipline to be able to stick with this. And during the day I have felt like I haven't had much energy, thats for sure. It might also be due to the fact that I am over weight by atleast 80 to 90 pounds. I am going to get there, I am just hoping to be down 30 lbs within two months so that way I can get married without feeling embarrassed about my weight in my wedding dress. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I am also on Garcinia Cambogia from Purely Inspired and that is supposed to be helping me lose inches. Plus I get in a good amount of exercise a day.

“Gave up 2nd day”

★★★☆☆

written by CallieStone84 on 20/03/2015

I started this diet yesterday. Gave up today. I believe this diet would have worked if i had carried it through. I am a vegan so i used the substitutions list on their website to make the diet vegan (e.g. tofu instead of tuna). The problem was that some of these substitutions left me realllyy hungry all day and couldn't help but eat on the 2nd day. I was constantly hungry. 1/4 cup of seeds does not adequately replace 1 egg.... i believe if i wasn't vegan this diet would have worked but i have strong will power to be vegan and i still wanted to binge the whole time.

“This post is very informative”

★★★★★

written by bruceandsonjahadfield on 13/03/2015

I'd like to make a small input (if I may). It's also a great idea to add some spices to your diet and juices. Spices are known to rev up your metabolism..so you can burn more calories without lifting a finger. More importantly, they also help you in detoxifying your system. It helps you in mobilizing the unhealthy toxins around your colon, which (as per research) could be holding as much as 30 pounds in some cases! 5 must-stock ancient spices for weight loss: 1. Mustard Seed: Boosts metabolism even after up to 25 hrs of consumption. 2. Black Pepper: Helps in faster digestion and nutrient absorption. 3. Ginger: Hinders cholesterol absorption. 4. Cinnamon: Helps in better processing of carbs. 5. Cayenne Pepper: Burns fat. While you are researching on this, it's worthwhile to check out some additional done for you information

“Not the best”

★★★☆☆

written by 355Hayes on 15/02/2015

Was excited to do this diet. Went in happy if I lost at least 5 lbs. The 1st 2 days were not so bad. I wasn't hungry. Drank plenty of water during the day and followed the diet properly. On the 3rd day I was a bit hungry and ready to throw in the towel. But didn't thought if I could do this. I also drank plenty of water and followed the diet. I was a bit disappointed that at the end of the 3rd day I only lost a total of 3.8 lbs. But I did feel my tummy a bit flatter. And my pants are a bit looser. I didn't work out except I did about a 100 squats through each day. I would recommend this if someone wants to fit in a dress or jeans for the weekend but to actually lose weight nah......

“WAIST OF TIME”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Castilloag439 on 13/06/2014

I did not drop a single pound on this stupid diet. My mom and I both followed it perfectly with no substitutions and neither of us lost any weight. I am extremely disappointed with this diet because I thought I actually found a diet that would be quick and easy. It's extremely frustrating how everyone else is seeing results but me. This is ridiculous.

“Nothing to get excited about here”

I am a 43 year old man. I am about 20 lbs overweight, but I have been losing weight. I followed this diet, and stuck to it exactly (no cheating). After starving for 3 days, I lost a total of 2 lbs. I would not waste your time on this diet. The results do not come close to the claims.

“Giving it a try...”

★★★★☆

written by on 15/11/2013

I've done this diet before, tried & failed but NOT because the diet wasn't effective- it was, it was becuase of my lack of will power to stick to healthy eating habits. This diet is very effective and will help you lose weight rapidly but you have to work hard and eat healthy to keep the weight off or like any diet it will come back on. Im trying this diet again from today, i'll keep you updated how it goes.

“Worked for me”

★★★★★

written by on 15/06/2013

I lost 15kg on this diet in two months. On the diet days I usually do brisk walking for 30minutes then on 4th day when am back on my normal foods I do high impact aerobics for 30mins or jog for 30mins. My weight hasn't come back and after one year I have not put on a single gram. Recently I decided I needed to loose more weight and am back on it. Its end of day 3 and I have lost inches. Has worked for me and will always work especially if you want to loose large amounts of weight. What I enjoy most is still having to eat carrots plus all the foods are enjoyable.

“I'm on Day 2 and lost 4 pounds already!”

★★★★★

written by on 13/06/2013

I'm not a fan of Fad Diets but it's my 1st Wedding Anniversary and I've put on a bit of extra weight on my two week holiday. This is just a quick fix to make me feel good on my special day. I'm on Day 2 and I've lost 4 pounds after Day 1. I was a tad bit hungry but I've just had my lunch and feel much better now. I couldn't find Beef Franks so I'm having Hot Dogs (Chicken) tonight. If I loose 7 pounds in total I'll be delighted! Long term Weightwatchers is the only diet that really works for me.

“It works”

★★★★★

written by on 21/04/2013

I have just finished my first round of the 3 dd. I have lost 2 kg(4.4pounds). The bad bits: I couldn't sleep at all on the first night. This is probably due to the detox process or withdrawal from my high carb eating habits. The food isn't tasty, but that's a small price to pay, I feel. You have to be really motivated and dedicated all the way through to the morning of the 4th day. It's only three days of dedication! Good bits: it's cheap and quick I had loads of energy and was whizzing through my chores into the wee hours of the morning. Obviously the weight loss! I have read that you are likely to binge on your days off and put it all on again. I don't agree with this. Before I started on this diet, I was literally addicted to sugary carbs. I was a sucker for confectionery and bread. I feel that within these 3 days, my sugar levels have normalised and today, my first day off the diet, I am not craving all those unhealthy things I have craved before. I will be sticking to 1200 cal per day in between diets using the 'my fitness pal' app, which is a great tool. Good luck! Where I cheated: I had as many cups of coffee and tea as I fancied with skimmed milk I did not have all the foods in the correct order: if I felt like having the ice cream for lunch, I would do, but I made sure that I are all the food for that day, in the order that was best for me. Hope this helps!

I also had to add non dairy creamer to my coffe and I used stevia for sugar. I'm on day one and hope it works. Maybe
I'll be doing it every week.
