    I purchased two popular mid-range graphics cards and two 2GB memory modules. Well, at least I think I did! I placed my order and selected to pay through PayPal. Three days later their site stated that my address was still awaiting authorisation. This eas a PayPal verified address --the same address I've used for the past 5 years!

    I emailed them several times during this period and I also completed their online form, but never once received a reply. I would have phoned them, but there is no phone number available; only some blurb about them being an online store and their email support is ultra-efficient. On the forth day I cancelled the order and re-ordered specifying my credit card instead. Again this spent 3 days with "Awaiting Address Confirmation" status and AGAIN I was not able to get any responses to my emails or messages submitted via their web form.

    On the 4th day of that order I received an email asking me to confirm my correct cardholder and delivery addresses (both the same) and cardholder phone number. I did this specifying the EXACT SAME INFORMATION I PROVIDED WITH MY ORDER.

    I received no response to this, so I emailed and "web formed" them again and have yet to receive a response.

    In the meantime I received a notification that both my order items were out of stock and I would have to wait 3 days. So I waited.

    On the fourth day I received an email stating that my graphics cards would ship soon, but the memory was now expected in 6 days. They also stated that my order had not been accepted at this point.

    I have not received the graphics cards yet, even though they were supposed to have shipped a week ago and the memory modules have now been updated to show 9 days before they are in stock.

    I have never had issues EVER with wither PayPal or my credit card. I purchased these items from dabs.com because the price was around £50 lower than Amazon UK for all these things. But it's now been 2 weeks and I am still waiting.

    I will wait it out, as the £50 saving is worth it for me, but I will NEVER buy from them again!

    Well I've order a fair few items from dabs over the years and only had good experiences from doing so.

    The delivery has always been on time and in good condition and the prices are normally pretty good.

    I once ordered more than was required and only realised after I had the delivery. I simply paid a small collection fee of £7 and their couriers came and picked up the unwanted items and they refunded me. I was impressed that I didn't have to arrange my own return shipping or pay any other ...

    This is the worst company one could buy a product from. My Zen Vision stopped working and I try to contact them via the phone. I was told to go online to make my complaint. I was left with no support and no one to replace my broken Zen. So do avoid this comapny at all cost! you will be left with a broken product if it happens. I was also told to do my research before I buy it!!! can you believe it? Yes it was true!!!

    If you are in a hurry, this place is a total waste of time. Placed an order, all went fine. Then later I get an email from Dabs saying they had some issue with my card address (which I supplied correctly and their checkout accepted...), and asking that I send them a load of details via email for verification. Hours later, no response.

    Like most people would agree, when things go right, DABS is just about as good as they get. Excellent stock, prices and delivery.

    When things go bad, the REALLY go bad. There genuinely is NO customer support. I thought after all these years they would have ditched this total turkey of an idea to have online interactive customer assistance. Its pretty much the single failing on the part of this company.

    I wanted to buy a Logitech g25 wheel, so I searched Google shopping for the cheapest prices. Of all of the sites that had the wheel in stock, Dabs was the cheapest. I ordered the wheel on next day delivery before noon at around 2:30pm. Next morning at 9:15 my wheel arrived and works brilliant, Dabs were very speedy. The information they had on the site was useful and they had plenty of pictures of the product%2

    Very Shoddy service received. Ordered a Western Digitalhard drive. Website stated item was in stock. Waited all week for delivery. No show. I ordered the item in good faith based on ex stock delivery as stated. Contacted Dabs via live chat to a robot and was told that it had been pushed out for over 2.5 weeks. Got given a "Take it or leave it" attitude. Decided to vote with my money and take my custom elsewhere. YOU CANT CONTACT THIS COMPANY BY PHONE and speak to a real person if things go wrong ...

    Dabs have terrible customer service. No phones. Can only communicate via 'chat'. All fine and well if your order goes through ok. Misery if not. Avoid. Microdirect, Novatech, Overclockers etc all offer real service

    Been regular dabs.com customer for years. Website had an issue recently with my order being taken 6 times. They cancelled 3 of them and promised to reject the other 3. The 3 orders then arrived. Now I have 3 orders with a £12 del charge when it should have been free, plus 2 pick ups at £10 for orders I did not ask for - £56!!!! No phone contact available, so far spent 2.5 hours on the useless chat service.

    Without doubt the worst customer care and warranty backed company I have ever dealt with. If you value customer care then DO NOT USE DABS. They will let you down, fob you off and even fail to reply and not honour warrant claims.
    A rubbish company who do not deserve to be in business.

    I also bought a DGM 32in TV. From day one the remote did not work properly but I managed. When if finally packed up after 15 months DABS refused to help. Fortunately, DGM themselves came to the rescue but, if you expect service and help from DAbs.com, forget it. Without doubt, they are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

    I ordered a Sony VRD-MC5 video recorder - this is supposed to copy high definition video from a camcorder onto DVD, to play on a blu-ray player. Except it only works with a limited selection of camcorders - unfortunately not a HDV one as I have. So I'm trying to get them to collect and refund, and they are not helpful. I won't deal with Dabs again!

    When I ordered two computer components from Dabs both arrived promptly. The packaging was open. When trying to raise awareness with Dabs over this they tend to ignore emails. You have to therefore keep trying to speak to somneone through there useful live chat. The live chat reps are absolutely rubbish and have no customer service skills at all. In order to get a refund you have to end up threatening to contact trading standards and keep bothering the live chat reps a few times a day.

    I've always had a stress-free buying experience with Dabs. I buy a lot of components and electronic bits and pieces and their website is well suited for trimming down the selections (for a none-techie like me). I've often used them to find the right piece of kit before searching elsewhere for better prices and it's fairly often they're better than most. I would recommend them in your list of electronic component sites.

    I have been buying items from Dabs for about 4 or 5 years and never had a problem before now.

    I placed an order last week with next day delivery. I paid with my business card and asked for it to be delivered to the same address as the cardholder. The order went though and I received an automatic email saying my order was being processed. So far so good.

    Dabs's biggest problem is that they didn't seem to have a good customer service at all. I ordered a LCD TV from them over a week ago. Once ordered they requested for a address confirmation for my credit card, and stated that if it was not received within five days they will cancel the order, so I gave them the details immediately, so that they can progress the order.

    However two days later I heard nothing more from Dabs, and checking on my Dabs account it was still logged as awaiting addres ...

    I returned a lap top to Dabs under guarantee for repair in DEC 08, still not returned, sent 10 emails, tried to phone by going through the web looking for numbers that are in use, finally got to speak to some only to be told he can't do anything about it, go to the web and send an email once again, i am now going to contact trading standards.

    I used to buy from Dabs a lot and recommended it. However I have had several problems. Firstly when ordering I've received an email asking me to confirm my credit card details but by email. There's no way I'm going to put my details on an email. There was no option to do this securely on their site and the customer service is quite simply useless.
