Good Points: ordering was quick and easy
Bad Points: been using dabs for years but ordered a new monitor a week before my birthday as it was from my kids kept getting emails wanting me to confirm my address so replied to that then they said i needed to alter the account and send more emails
General comments: Felt like it was a waste of my time went to a store and paid extra to get the monitor there and then without any questions or emails
not impressed at all with dabs will be the last time i use them again

www.dabs.com is a great website, I have never had an issue. Returns are usually delt with and the item replaced/returned within a week which is a lot faster than many other sites. Prices for several items are also much lower than other companies. Fast delivery (12 hours from basket to my door!) and I will continue to use them for years.

I bought a wireless router from Dabs.com and it arrived within two days. Their website is quite easy to use and gives good information on stock availability.

Dabs seems to be a company that hasn't coped well with its growth. Customer service is robotic or non-existent and delivery times are erratic, even when you pay quite a bit extra for what is supposed to be 'next day delivery', they'll find a reason to mess something up, whether it's your payment or whether the product's in stock or not. No humans to be found. Wouldn't accept payment from credit card wanted to verify the delivery address for some reason somehow. So I opted for paypal which didn't work. They wouldn't accept my money!

I recently had to return a laptop to Dabs as it kept powering off when in use for over an hour.
My experience with their 'after sales' leaves much to be desired.
I sent it back on 11/03/08 after being told it was now an obsolete model and would not be sent back to HP for repair. I checked this with an adviser and was told this was correct.
First of all it took them a week to ask me for the password to turn it on. This only happened AFTER I had contacted them to ask what the state of play was.

I initially ordered a laptop from play.com. They were being really slow in processing my order so I cancelled the order and on doing a google search for the laptop, found it being sold by dabs.com for 10 less, with free delivery. Ordered the laptop on Saturday morning (using Goodle checkout); my card company initially rejected the payment as a security/fraud check, by the time I realised and spoke to the card company to clear the payment it was Sunday afternoon. After cancelling an order under the Distance Selling Directive, I tried to get a refund (DSD states this must be done within 30 days). Although dabs.com say they actioned the refund within a week of the return, the money is still not showing in Paypal. It could take 28 days, I'm told, which would be over 30 days since I cancelled the order. I'm planning a complaint against both dabs.com and Paypal. Never had such atrocious service.

Used dabs last time a year ago and everything was fine. Something terribly wrong happened inside dabs since that last order. Ordered Notebook in the morning and got automated email - security check. Replied with confirmation of my details. Six hours later received another exactly the same automated email. I ordered from Dabs based on the recommendation of a co-worker and because of their low prices. The delivery was very quick and the item was just as described - even somewhat better, specification-wise, than advertised.
However, I had some problems as the laptop I ordered was not given to me personally, but left with a neighbour who I didn't know and who didn't inform me. I would expect that signed-for means that only I can sign for it, not anyone living on the premises. However, praise to Dabs ...

I am fed up with the responses I am recieving from Dabs.com. Trying to chase an order placed over 11 days ago, and I've seen the item in stock twice (Once when I ordered, and once when I was checking my order several days later). The only answer I have got so far as far as I am aware is they have no control over stock. Ask to ship the order without the item, and its a no go, they suggest I cancel the order... How do they hope to operate a good company without a phone line for customer service, they dont even reply to emails or comunicate with there finance frim. I myself had to cancel one order due to being told the items where due in within 1 week then I was told that it wouldnt be in for 3 months so I wouldnt get it for Christmas, so I cancelled. Dabs advertised that if you ordered by a certain date they would guarantee delivery by Christmas. The courier was Amtrak who did receive the goods from dabs on time but who failed to deliver within three days before Christmas. My kids didn't get their present until 27th December. Amtrak would not say which day they would deliver but that it would reach us by Christmas and would not give me the drivers mobile number so that I could arrange to meet him somewhere. Got stuck in there so called " Security-Check " They wanted me to email them my credit card info , Dont think so ... VERY INSECURE. Where as if they actually did the server side validation on credit card information properly it could be corrected by me before the order was even placed. But no they like to annoy potential return customers by making them wait 48 hours due to a backlog of people having this same issue ( reported to me by one of the "online - chat. which btw CAN NOT help with this ...

My experience with dabs.com is really bad. I ordered an item in November 2007, which appeared to be faulty so I had to give it back. They tried to send a good condition item back to me, unfortunately I am not sure what happened but the item was sent back to dabs.com without even reaching me. It is 18th of January and I am still waiting for the refund!!! I am writing to dabs.com every day, but all they saying is "it will be dealt with later today", which is not happening. I am really disappointed ...
