Good Points: Layered sweet whisky, full of raisin, plum and, as the label reads, Christmas pudding. The lack of peat brings out the oak and sherry flavours and is for that a more unique taste for a whisky.
Bad Points: Unfortunately, for my taste at least, the lack of peat smoke brings out too much of a sherry taste. The whisky is very sweet and though it is layered, these tastes are rather similar.

I visited the Glengoyne destillery and like the whisky. Though it is a whisky to join a collection and to be drunk between others. For this whisky one should nose dry and drink dry, as adding water takes away the spicy edge, which for me is the best thing about this whisky.
I have reviewed the 17 year old.

Glengoyne Single Malt Whiskyis a beautiful whisky from a beautiful distillery in the southern highlands of Scotland. Not peaty, just smooth, mellow and easy to drink.
