Good Points: The album includes eleven totally original, unique and inspired punk-pop-metal-rock tracks.
Bad Points: None at all thank you.
General comments: AntiProduct, Consume And Die...The Rest Is All Fun - The UK Punk-pop-metal band AntiProduct started off their manic career with the solid foundations of some experienced band members who had all worked within various other groups in the past. Fronted by lead singer and guitarist Alex Kane (aka A. Product), the band had themselves someone who was going to stand out from the crowd. Having worked alongside Wildhearts frontman Ginger for the Clam Abuse album "Stop Thinking" (credited as Clint Abuse) and the part of the '80s glam metal outfit Dogs D'Amour, Kane was no stranger to working in the music world. Kane has also worked in the super group 'Sack Trick' as has guitarist Clare Pproduct. The group's line-up was altered slightly with drummer Anti-Matt leaving after playing just one gig, to be eventually replaced by Simon "Gonk" Antiproductor. The band formed a dedicated and loyal fanbase as they set themselves off on a barrage of live tour dates.
The band released their debut album "Consume And Die The Rest Is All Fun" through Cargo Records in 2000, which saw some successful sales largely due to a supporting tour with the British rock band The Wildhearts.
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Psychedelic Girlfriend
2. Hey, Let's Get It On
3. Best Day Of Your Life
4. Bungee Jumping People Die
5. [Be My] Supergirl
6. Big News
7. I Don't Care
8. Bad Girl
9. Captain Wrong
10. Weekend Vacation On Mars
11. Space Theme
Described as ABBA meets Slayer, you know that you're in for a bizarre rollercoaster of a ride when you first put on the album. Bursting with bubblegum pop that's been pushed through a food blender with a serious helping of punk rock, the band's sound is completely unique. The album delivers track after track of awesome sing-along favourites such as "Hey, Let's Get It On" and "Bungee Jumping People Die." AntiProduct produce summer music that needs to be played loud. For that punk feel good factor, the group deliver you bundles of it with every track.
The album is one of those albums that you really have to hear at some point. Buy a copy and play it to everyone!
