Good Points: Nice setting with plenty of space
Bad Points: Wasps.
General comments: Good variety of rides to suit all really Enjoyable day out.
Run down in appearance.
Staff - well, how do I put it - they could do with smiling and learn to speak to clearly and well, be polite.
Food very expensive for hotdogs and jackets.

The Light Water Valley Theme Park In Ripon, Is A Brilliant Theme Park Based In A Good Location With Good Food and Rides. The Rides Could Be Called OTT (Over The Top!). Though, But There Are Also Some Child Friendly Rides Too. The Best Thing Is While The Kids Are Having Loads Of Fun, You Can Be Enjoying The Gigantic Shopping Centre And The Food.

If you have young children go to Flamingo land or Drayton manor. Wasps everywhere + open bins = bad planning. Price £60 for 2 adults and a 3 and a 4 year old is way too high, will not go again until kids are 1.5 meters high. All seems a bit out dated.

All in all I would say that it is a good place to visit with kids under 10. We felt that it was quite good value for money compared to Alton Towers and Flamingo Land etc. We also thought that the park lacked a bit of atmosphere - more fairground style music needed to liven the mood!!

Here are some good points...The rides are fantastic, there are loads of very far fetched rides like the ultimate and the eagles claw, however, there are great younger children's rides as well! Everything is very safe, when you are on the rides you are strapped in very securely you couldn't fall out! The wild life is fab and there is a mini train that takes you different parts of the complex. There were quite a lot of wasps, but that's just summer. Other than that I cant really think of many bad ...

Lightwater Valley is a park to suit everyone-and it does just that in my opinion. From white knuckle rides like Eagles Claw and The Ultimate to Mini Ferris Wheel, Ladybird and Caterpillar coasters for the kids. There are also rides for the family to enjoy whether it be young, old, middle aged, teenagers like Lightwater Express train that goes all around the park, the Swan Lake where you can padle around a large lake in an enlarged swan! Really good place to eat your packed lunch. Main reason ...

Lightwater Valley is suited for all the family with its thrilling rides like the Ultimate and Eagles Claw to the kiddies rides which are of a good selection like Gator Park (a park just for kids), Teacups, Ladybird and Caterpillar coasters, Mini Ferris Wheel and the list is endless. Family rides are really good fun with the Go-Karts, Skate Karts(which are so randomly funny), new Lightwater Wheel, Swan Lake and around the park train ride. The space in which the park is in is a very open country ...

We took 2 young children as on the website it said it had plenty of rides for 1 metre and under.
Many of the roundabout style rides had height restrictions, so my youngest was sent away from lots of small rides in tears including a little horse and cart ride and a little train ride!
Whilst the higher and more dangerous rides should en force strict height restrictions, there is in my opinion absolutely no need on the smaller rides, my little one has been on more thrilling rides at the supermark ...

It is not as good as some other theme parks like, Flamingo Land, Alton Towers and nowhere near some U.S.A theme parks. The forest thing I noticed is that it seems abit old, like they haven't bought anything new for it since the 90's. There are too many rides to spend one day but too few to spend two days. But there are some good rides. The Ultimate is a very good roller coaster, but is very rough and you get very shaken around. If you have a long drive when you leave this park, I would recommend ...

The whole place appears run down.
I expect it will be changed entirely to retail within the next year or so.

I don't think Lightwater Valley is good value for money, and the rides are old and repetitive. They need to put more thought into the theme park, and introduce some newer rides! They also need to bring the food prices down, and offer a better range of food! They also need to smarten the park up, as it is old and shabby.

Lightwater Valley is the best theme park I've ever visited. I would give it an A* rating. I think it is suited to anyone.
It's great place! You have to go!
You can book online at www.lightwatervalley.net, or you can buy at the gate.

Lightwater Valley is a really good park. It's better how you only have to pay once and you can go on all the rides all day. There are loads of new stuff including a caravan park. This theme park is probably the best in the North East. It's better with a big group and a great place for a school trip or an office party.

Lightwater Valley Theme Park is good day out! From the worlds ex longest roller-coaster (it is now only Europe's longest), which will go up to 50mph, to a gentle ride on the train, or the Swan Lake. Sadly, there aren't many rides for young children.
The park is clean, and safe for young children to run around. Unfortunately, all the rides are for 2-4 people, so always take enough people so that no one is left unable to go on the rides.
The food and drinks are expensive, so I would r ...
