“avoid at all costs”

On PES2014 official Konami website, GamesPlanet is the ONLY company that offers a pc download version. Ok so I assume that they must be good. Why would Konami use them if they are rubbish? I was very wrong. Before I order, they never tell me I have to wait for up to 8 hours before they send me the activation code. You will only know this AFTER you pay. What's the point of buying a download version if you cannot play instantly? Ok, I have been waiting for 36 hours, during that I have emailed them like 20+ times, and all I receive are automated replies from their machine. All I want is one answer: code or refund? No they haven't give me a single human reply since I paid them 36 hours ago and still counting. LESSON: use google when you are planning to buy from a previously unknown company. I only found out their notorious reputation AFTER I paid. My mistake. And I even gave them my credit card details - how stupid am I!! God knows what they will use my details for? It seems that no human being is working at their so-called "7 days a week" customer service desk.

8th September made a gift purchase for my son's birthday, selected the 29.99 version,found out from my bank statement that I had got charged for the 109.99 special edition. Requested a refund the very same day, other than an acknowledgement I received NO REPLY AT ALL until the 16th September; they waited until I had received the package before informing me of the refund process. They allowed the card payment to drop-off the system only then to claim it on the 17th of September, AFTER the refund request had been acknowledged. I would urge you NOT to do business with this company, they share your details with other companies, god knows where this details go and who stores them. Their head office staff are rude and will not forward any calls without a name. Horrible company to do business with and I won't ever touch their products again.

“Absolute Garbage”

Downloaded a game, never received an activation code, despite a confirmation being sent to my e-mail address. It's now been 4 months and I am still waiting for my refund. It takes over 3 days to get a response to any e-mails sent, if they bother at all. Given up with them and will just have to take the loss. I have reported them to trading standards.

“No support at all”

While buying they never tell you they are gonna delay the delivery for 8h. I tried to cancel the order before the order was sent but seems they didn´t even read the mails and tickets i had open with them. I received the key almost 11h later (even when I said i wanted a refund and cancel the order) and it's not even working while installing the game. Since then I've been sending more mails requesting a full refund for my order and they didné answer any fo them. This is a shame. I'm doing a chargeback at the bank. Seems it's the only language they understand.

“Awaiting Football Manager Activation Code”

I thought it would be a good idea to download steam and play football manager 2013, how wrong was i. I paid £20 for the game about 6pm in the evening thinking i'll be up and running by 7pm. Im far from that as i'm yet to get a activation key, it says on the website conflicting time scales one says up to 2 hours the other 8 hours. Get a grip i paid by a confirmed paypal account surely you cant get a more secure payment. I'll never bother using this website for sure nor recommend it.

So many people hate thing website when I personally think it's great. I've downloaded all my games with no problems. The price is good, it's easy to pay, fast emails sent with all the information I needed, and was then super to easy to download. I had no need to complain or get in contact with customer services. I was very ipressed.

the website didnt even work i tried to sign up and they took my email and wont let me create account. and i wrote a question and they sent me an email saying to use this code as a reference to find the status of your question and then the code did nothing there was no explanation or customer service at all.

This company is a scam and a fraud. It is next to impossible to contact them. They ripped off my son, and he is terribly upset. If I lived in the UK I would track these creeps down and .... That such low life bums can even exist really ticks me off. (won't let me say what I really want to say).

“These people are con artists: pure and simple”

Paid the money, downloaded the game. Email came. No activation code. Nothing in the website, but I gathered from sites like this that it takes a few hours (in my cases 22 hours and counting) before you receive the code. 12 hours later sent email. 5 hours later sent stroppy email. Nothing. Catch a bus and buy the disk. This is the worst, but the competition is not much better in my experience.

Update- Still no code or response to any of my 3 emails after 36 hours. I would encourage anyone who has lost money to these scammers to report them to the Metropolitan Police in the UK for suspected fraud. There should be zero tolerance to fraud on the net.

Lets start right off the bat. They have absolutely no customer support whatsoever. Like many others I haven't received an activation code for the game I ordered. I ordered Deus Ex - Human Revolution pre-order. What a waste of money. I pre-ordered a couple of months ago and the game came out Friday in the EU. Now 64 hours later still no activation key. I have contacted support multiple times and have not heard a single word from them. Their website advertises 7 day a week support which is clearly not true. It's unfortunate in this day and age that crooks and scam artists like this can still exist and claim to be a reputable business. This company is a joke and should be avoided at all costs. To others in a similar situation good luck to you. You are going to need it.

“No customer support what so ever!”

Out of the four games iv downloaded two have worked. I have emailed customer support repeatedly for help as Crysis 2 would not activate and the download files for Splinter cell were corrupt. I haven't even had a response past the automated one. Really got in my nerves, I have emailed again asking for a refund; again no response. I wonder if I can take any kind of legal action. I'm £40 down. Dont use these guys, pretty much con artists. Nick

I tried buying a game with them as I thought it would be much faster to buy a download version so that I could use it straight away. Unfortunately I still haven't received the product code so I still can't play the game and am unable to contact them as the only phone number for them that I can find is french and out of service.

Do not go to gamesplanet. If your thinking of downloading a game from there, which is what im in the middle of doing, please mark my words and find somewhere else.

Why not use gamesplanet? The download speed is absolutely atrocious, it is unthinkable that they woould advertise a quick download, when my is set to take 6-7 Hours!!! I could of caught a turtle, rode it to the shop, rode it to mc'ds, rode it to my girfriends, had dinner, then back again, in the time this is taking to download. The speed is running anywhere from 16kb-95kb/sec for the exe file, any standard exe file will generally be from 150-400kb/sec on my com/connection, I could of got this from the pirate bay and it would be 3x as quick! This is simply ridiculous! If you want your game quickly go elsewhere, also no easy way to contact support and whinge either.

I attempted to purchase and download a game from Games Planet, and after trying four seperate times to get the transaction to work, however, each time, the Metaboli web page kept saying 'you payment has not been accepted.'

Anyway, as I was typing up an email to find out why my Visa was not working, my wife decided to double check our bank, to be sure we did indeed have enough to cover the charge, and lo and behold, Metaboli has charged my account four times, for each of the four 'failed attempts'. Now this hurts, BAD...times are tight these days, and roughly $60 is a TREMENDOUS amount of money in my household. Our being out this money at this time is now causing undue stress here, and this should be a VERY easy problem to resolve.

Now it has been 24hrs, and NO response from the company...and they have my money...

I ordered my game from Games Planet 5 weeks ago and when I ordered it they were showing that it was in stock and would be sent in a few days. I have not received it yet. They have taken my money, and I cannot get in touch with them. They never answer the phone or emails - I emailed them about 2 weeks ago and again 4 days later and they still havent replied to either email.

Games Planet: I ordered a ps2 game off this company before christmas as a present. Now a week into the new year the game has still not got delivered. Worse still this company never answers the phone number that they provide on the website.

The christmas period could not be used as an excuse in my opinion as all other online companies managed to deliver within a week.

I have similar problems with this company. I downloaded a game which will not install and they did not send the activation code for that software. I have sent emails to their 'support' team and had one automated reply with a ticket number but no progress links to that ticket and I am waiting and waiting for a response from them. The next step is to try to get a refund, ha ha.<br/><br/>Will post more if there is a satisfactory conclusion. If I don't post another comment, you will know I have been ripped off.<br/><br/>Why can't these companies behave like proper companies?

I am having trouble with this 'company'.
