Good Points: best washing machine i had, troublefree( knock on wood), and i am just worried that now I need a washer dryer, i will not find a machine as hasle free as this one
Bad Points: only thing I can think of is the lenght of time it takes to get through a full cycle, but i am willing to conpromise
General comments: I have had this Hotpoint WMA76 washing machine for nearly 5 years now and never had a problem with it, its so flexible you can choose spin speed, temperature and extra or less rinses as it suits you, it washes perfectly,I like my whites white and thats what i get, no nasty greys, and because washing and spinning are energy A its very economical to run, 1600 spin, leaves my closes virtually free of all excess water, clothes are light and dry fast.

We got this Hotpoint WMA76. The water build up in the drum when it has finished its cycle and the door is open. Not sure if to go through fixing it or to buy a new one with a different manufacturer.

Good machine with variety of wash programmes but the paddle problem ensures that I will avoid hotpoint like the plague in future! I have just replaced a paddle. This was the fourth replacement I have used and one of the others is looking dodgy again. At £10 a go from our local spares place (Ebay is about £7+ with p&p) it is getting to be an expensive machine to run. If it happens mid-wash I have it where clothes get ripped up on the exposed sharp bits of metal.

I really have to watch the drum paddles on my Hotpoint WMA76. They constantly break off, as they're made out of plastic and he clips break off. When they've broken my clothes have got shredded.

I would recommend this item to anybody looking for a reliable, efficient washing machine which is capable of taking 6kg of cotton clothing with it coming out clean and also being gentle enough to wash silk and woollens.

I have had a Hotpoint Ultima " WMA76 "for thee years and in that time it has torn three sets of net curtains and several blouses.
On one of the bars attached to the drum are ten raised holes and these have sharp edges and tear clothes. This is a major fault with this machine. After having satisfactory service for twelve years from my previous washer - a Zanussi. I shall never buy any kind of Hotpoint product again.
Avoid this washer like the plague!
