The Jet Engine is a combination of a coffee table book that anyone can pick up and enjoy and a technical textbook that a true enthusiast can pickup to get his fix. The book has a wealth of large and detailed illustrations. Only bad point is its a paperback. This is a fabulous book. This one will be in my personal library forever… Read Full Review

The book covers everything from how it all began with the early Whittle engines and how gas turbines work right through to maintenance and overhaul. The book is designed for aerospace engineering students but will answer any questions on the subject.
