An allround good performer. Having played competitive tennis for a number of years I would be unlikely to move from Babolat having tried this racket. Wonderful combination of maneuvrability, power and control. Good weighting allows powerful groundstrokes whilst not compromising vollying capabilities. Readily playable. Non that I have noticed...although the colour is not quite my cup of tea. (read more)

It has a great swing speed, and a nice shock absorbing(thx to cortex) making you not feel the ball just simple hear the bang it also has an extra power thx to woofer, i still think is just slightly heavy but its OK...

It really is amazing just how much difference the right racket can make with the right player. If you are a harder hitting player looking for a bit more control then this is the racket i would reccomend. Babolat obviously know what they are doing and look at the number of pros that now use Babolat rackets. (read more)

The Babolat Pure Drive team tennis racket is great. I have finally found a racket that shares equllay between power and accuracy. The strings are great and i am able to control the ball so much better than I have been with my old Slazenger. A great buy and I definitely recommend this one to anyone looking to upgrade before the summer tennis really starts. (read more)

The Babolat Pure Drive Team Tennis Racket is good for powerful groundstrokes and reasonable topspin and is quite easy to volley with as well. It is easy to swing and it looks good. The negative thing about it is it's easy to smash up and get chipped from just scrapping it on low shots. Also, it needs a good shock absorber to make it easier to play with. Good overall racket, but you get annoyed with it after about 10 months. (read more)

The racquet was good at first and all for the money ~ 120ish but what really turned me off is that in less than a year of playing with it, my racquet frame had a terrible break without any contact on the frame. Never had I thrown it nor was it chipped yet a slightly off-centered overhead compromised the structural integrity breaking the racquet and when I talked to babolat - they said it was too much damage so its not a structural flaw - yet at least 7 different people I know have had the... The Babolat Pure Drive Team is a superb racket! excellent control without comprimising on the extreme power you can obtain with this racket.
The woofer system make a big difference: compared with my old racket, the difference in control is great. This woofer system also alters the sweet spot to pratically the full size of the head, producing great power.
However, ive found that it takes time to adapt to this racket. The woofer system and the general design of the racket alters the shot so...

A better 'very late', than never response to a great review.
I've still got my Pure Drive Team after 8 good years and
have and Babolat Pro Hurricane and N.VY 16 Hybrid String
Set, strung at 58lbs and get the best spin, power and control
combined. With a good grommit, if feels great on the arm after
a good 2-2.5 hours of hard play. A definite keeper and quite rare!
However, i was thinking of buying the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick
and see how that would play in comparison.

The Babolat Pure Drive Team racquet is great. it has a large sweet spot and very smooth stroke. Not too heavy but very sturdy frame. Recomended for anyone serious in tennis. (read more)

I disagree. You cannot accurately rate a raquet you do not own or have any quality personal experience with. The pure drive team recommends a lower string tension to maximize power but uses a 7 pt. H/L(head light) construction to maximize directional control. In conclusion-(relatively lax strings+light/maveuverable head+ shock filtering cortex system= maximized control&power)
